Media and Information literacy. When I read the subjects of my upcoming course I got excited because I have new subjects to take specially when I knew that Media and Information Literacy is included. Media is at the peak of the pyramid if my life is in an organized table right now.

At first I’m confused because before the media that I know before revolves around my social media accounts but I was wrong. It has a history behind it and evolved on what we have right now. The sucject may also help us in our future proffesions and maybe it will become a reason for us to choose the profession that we want to be.

They say that it enables people to show and make informed judgments as users of information and media, as well as to become skillful creators and producers of information and media messages in their own right and I soulfully agree to it.

My favorite lesson is the evolution of media because it shows how the past people developed and I learned how did the people before made a living.

I just wanna say how much I’m grateful to our subject teacher Ms. Lissandra Barrioga for making the subject easier and understandable. Even though we’re facing a pandemic she still worked hard for us to finish the quarter with a healthy and positive set of mind to conquer what’s ahead of us.

#BLACK LIVES MATTER

In this society nowadays, the united states of America is currently having an issue about the equality between black people (African American) and white people (pure Americans) because of the current incident of racism to the man who was brutally killed by a police officer. The man was named George Floyd. Racism ended in america a few years ago but we cannot say that racism vanished already. Some white men are still having mindsets that all black people are evil and have a bad heart without thinking that they are the real evil person for judging the look of others. People in America are stereotyping and it should stop! All people have their rights to stand stand in the same foot equally regardless of what race they were born. This world is created for all and it we should treat each other equally to have a balanced community

How did we come this far? What are the things that made us change the world that we know. I can say that I like the life before when there are no gadgets but I’m also glad that I was born in the modern era. I’m happy on what our world is today and I hope that the modern world will continue!

Introduction and deconstructing media!

This two lessons helped me in reminiscing the value of media in our life and beachse of these I developed valuing the importance of media and how it helps in my daily life. It really did change the world on what it is today and it made difficult things easier and possible and if I where you I will not just ignore media and come with me to explore it!
