"You do realize that lying to girls is not attractive...right?"

I asked as I approached my close friend, Rodrick.

A girl had just walked away from him a few moments prior from the party we were (or rather, Rodrick) was currently hosting.

Back on track.

Rodrick rolled his eyes at my comment and turned to look at me.

"Yeah but lying is easier than actually liking my brother."

I frowned a little at his response.

"That doesn't make it right."

"Whatever mom."

Rodrick mumbled in return, rolling his eyes at me.

I sighed as I watched him walk off and start trying to get with another girl.

"He's just trying to get his mind off of you."

Greg said as he watched his brother than glanced up at me.

I turned my head and gave him a smile.

"Hi Greg."

I greeted than paused for a second.

"What do you mean he's trying to get his mind off of me?"

Greg raised his eyebrows at me then glanced at Rodrick.

"Oh wow, he was right about you being oblivious."

Greg said then walked away from me, becoming distracted by Rowley.

I opened my mouth to talk but I was too late as I watched Greg walk away, confused about what he meant.

"I'm...oblivious?"

I mumbled to myself.

A few hours later I'm sitting on Rodrick's bed flipping through a magazine I found while he's being yelled at by his parents.

He walks up the stairs and enters his room afterwards, I look up and we make eye contact.

Before he can get a word in I speak first.

"Do you think I'm oblivious?"

Rodrick stared at me for a second.

"What?"

I pursed my lips and shook my head.

"Nevermind. How'd it go with your parents?"

He sighed and plopped down on his bed next to me.

"I'm grounded for a month. Plus no Loaded Diaper practice."

"Could be worse. My dad would kill me if I...nevermind."

I stopped talking and awkwardly chuckled when he gave me a look.

Before Rodrick could complain more he glanced down at the magazine in my hand.

His eyes went wide before he snatched the papers from me hastly.

"Why are you-"

He cut himself off as we both watched a small black piece of paper slip out of the magazine and onto the floor.

Before he could react I grabbed it and started to open it as I stood up.

"What's this?"

I asked curiously as I tried to fight him off while reading the white lettering on the paper.

"Yn. Give that back. Now."

He said seriously as he grabbed at my hips, pulling me towards him.

"Did you...write this?"

I asked, a little stunned.

I let him grab the piece of paper back but it was already too late.

He sighed and rested his head on the middle of my back.

I waited patiently for him to speak.

"Yeah. I did."

He mumbled out.

I carefully turned around in his arms so I was facing him.

"Do you...still feel this way about me?"

I asked as I watched his reaction carefully.

He nodded his head in return and I smiled a little as I tucked some of his messy hair behind his ear.

"Well, why didn't you say something sooner, baby?"

I asked softly as I leaned down and gently kissed his forehead.

He blushed in return.

"I guess I should have."
