So an idea for all my peeps who have their Darlin' be bilingual.

Quinn going out of his way to learn all of these cute nicknames in Darlin's mother language as a way to get closer to them. He especially focuses on names that Darlin' was called as a child. (For example: one of my nicknames as a kid was goodhiyan which means 'doll.' So Quinn would call them goodhiyan whenever he can.)

Darlin' falling head over heels because no one has ever put that much effort into learning their mother language and gets all giddy when Quinn calls them any of those nicknames.

As their relationship worsens, those nicknames that once filed them with the feeling of 'love,' now fills them with fear. It sounds cruel coming from his mouth and the actions that follows are even crueler.

Once Darlin' goes Washington to spend time with their family, one of their aunts called them a nickname in their mother tongue.

Darlin' freezes and is filled with the realization that they associate every single nickname in their mother language with Quinn and the shit he's done.
