Btw my favorite Middlemarch character is Ladislaw’s fantastically bisexual German roommate in Italy who is just a huge Romantic and accidentally helps Ladislaw and Dorothea reconnect because Ladislaw and his friend unwittingly end up at a museum at the same time as Dorothea and Casaubon on their honeymoon, and Dorothea sits down in a sunbeam and is being despondent about how she has fucked up real bad by marrying Casaubon and how he’s never going to give a shit about her, and the Romantic roommate walks into that room and sees a despondent dark-haired lady sitting in a sunbeam and BOOKS it back to Ladislaw and tells him Come quick! I have just seen the most beautiful woman in the world! and Ladislaw is like well I may as well and comes with him and sees Dorothea sitting despondently in a sunbeam and he’s like. Oh. It’s Her. and it’s so fucking good I love it
maybe this isn´t new info for yall, but I found this today so I´m sharing it.
In 2019, Joseph played Will Ladislaw in the BBC radio adaptation of George Eliot's Middlemarch and I took it upon me to listen to all 12 episodes and pinpoint all moments in which Joe speaks as I know not all of you are interested in listening to the full 4 hours of the show (although may I say, I do recommend it, as it is highly entertaining).
link to all 12 episodes. BBC sign up necessary, I think
*The character of Will Ladislaw is mentioned throughout other parts of the story, but is not actually always present, and therefore, Joe is not always speaking when his character is mentioned. These timestamps are mostly of the moments in which Joe speaks and the scene around his dialogue. I tried to be as accurate as possible in the timing and I hope I didn´t miss any dialogue of his :)
Eddie’s first claim to internet fame is when he uses the band’s Twitter account to post a picture from a fruity four weekend trip of him in bed next to Steve and Robin all wrapped up in each other that’s captioned, “me, my husband, and his emotional support lesbian.”
Nancy, who has the same sense of humor as Eddie, post on her social media ten minutes after his post a picture captioned, “Me, my partner, her emotional support himbo, AND his husband.”
Eddie retweets his original tweet with **And Miss Nancy Wheeler. My bad.
The internet is confused as to how renowned journalist Nancy Wheeler knows infamous rockstar Eddie Munson, but also - more importantly - why are they sharing a bed. (The answer being that Eddie was high when he made the reservation and forgot to get two rooms).
