For an arts based discipline, there's an appalling lack of stoners in theology.

It's also nasty to see the fabrications of the Conservatives: after all the talk of America First and "fuck being the global police," they now claim to champion the liberal rights of non-Americans and the continued (expensive) occupation of foreign soil, ignoring the (extremely) sizable role they took in promoting hatred towards the rest of the world and its problems. For a party that claims to hate the post-truth era, they sure have sunk a lot more than just their (gnarly ass) feet into those waters when convenient.

It's pretty disgusting to see the complete silence from people like Kamala Harris on the Taliban's rise in Afghanistan; it's disturbing to see those who politically profit from the gaslighting of women's rights domestically support the oppression and the loss of freedoms of women globally.

If money is built off of the value of things, we've sure created a lot of money with our construction of consumable things over the course of capitalism. The more things we want, the more money the economy is gonna need.

Our culture undervalues and dislikes humble passion in favor of prideful passion.

An inability to take criticism is a symptom of idolatry. If you accepted your justification through the cross, and understood your self-worth through the cross, you would not feel threatened by the opinions of others. If you find your god in another, when that thing tells you you're not enough, you will break.
The cross frees us to hear our failings.

Pretty sure my mom's a stoic. An unintentional one, but one nonetheless. It's incredible that someone can prima facie--in the face of all the suffering of life-- subconsciously push and hold on to the belief that life is inherently worth living, and that ending it on your own terms is *never* the answer.

I feel we don't ask about Paul's relationships with women and his parents--specifically his father--enough. These relationships must have had an impact on his relationship with God, and the love he experienced prior to his conversion must have shaped him. And yet, we know so little--indeed nothing--about his formative years and relationships. We know very little about the man.

Was Jesus chill? Like, what was it like to laze around and chill with Him? Was He funny?

There's no singular will that defines human existence. There are many, and a healthy understanding of life is one that understands and integrates these (expressible and inexpressible) wills.

One of my goals as a DJ is to amass a mighty collection of music that's long enough for me to press play, walk away from the controller, take a massive shit, and come back with the music still playing.
