How to fold my tent?
You might recognize it: you've practiced pitching your tent well, and you've followed all of the set-up steps. After a hard time, you've finally made it. The tent is set up! You go on weekends to test the tent, and on Sunday evening, you want to dismantle it. To disassemble something is usually easier than to assemble something. In practice, this often turns out differently. The tent no longer fits in the storage bag, but how is it possible to get into it? We give you some tips so that your tent provides back into the storage bag.
First, make sure that all the poles are grouped together and that the tent canvas is dry and placed on the ground. Wrapping a damp tent can cause mold. You have no choice and need to pack the wet tent? So, let it dry well when you come home.
When the tent is placed on the ground, follow these steps:
Step 1
Open the doors so the air can come out. This is especially important for tents with a fixed groundsheet.
2nd step
Fold the canvas as vast as the tent storage bag (make sure not to fold the tent wider than the bag). Then place the side of the door near the bag.
Step 3
Lay the chamber and other accessories such as the poles and the stake bag on top.
Step 4
Roll it all as tight as possible. Start rolling the side where there is no door. When you start to ride, then air can always come out through the door. This allows you to move the tent as tight as possible since air does not remain in the tent.
Step 5
Always use a rope to bring everything together so that you can quickly put the tent in the bag.
Step 6
Put the tent in the bag.
