Name: Santana Harley Blackwood Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 33 Birthday: October 31st Occupation: Veterinarian/Owner, Zootopia Veterinary Species: Witch, Stardust Coven Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Heather Hemmens
Bio: (Triggers: Teen pregnancy, divorce )
Santana was born to a seventeen year-old mother, Olivia, who had intended to keep her baby. Her mother tried for the better part of a year to raise her daughter on her own before realizing that even though she loved her baby dearly she couldn’t give her the life she deserved. Saddened and desperate to find a good home for her baby Santana’s mother showed up at the home of her junior year science teacher, Samuel Blackwood. After tearfully explaining her dilemma Samuel and his wife Marisol offered to adopt the baby and keep Olivia updated on how the little girl was doing. And while Olivia had desperately wished she could keep and raise her daughter she knew deep down inside that the Blackwoods would be able to provide her a more stable environment and so she adopted her daughter out to the couple.
Samuel and Marisol renamed their daughter Santana after Marisol’s maiden name and kept her original name, Harley, as her middle name in honor of the mother who gave her up so she could have a better life. Even before Santana completely understood what being adoption was she knew that she had been adopted- that her parents had chosen to be her family and that her birth mother had given her up in hopes of giving her a better life. It had been an act of love and not as a way to get rid of her. And up until the time Santana was seven the Blackwoods kept their promise and wrote to Olivia to keep her up to date on her daughter’s progress. But it was around that time that Olivia stopped replying- and the letters started coming back. Samuel and Marisol assumed that Olivia was trying to move on with her life- but they both always hoped one day she would get back in contact to get to know the little girl she had given up.
Taking in Santana made the Blackwoods realize how much they had always wanted a big family and over the course of the next decade and a half they adopted several more children- and took quite a few in as fosters. Santana grew up on a large piece of property always surrounded by siblings- both legal and foster. The house was always cramped but happy and the kids were deeply bonded- so much so that if a foster sibling left the remaining kids would cry for weeks but insist that they would keep in touch.
When she graduated from high school Santana left town for a couple of years trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. After some travelling she came back home, enrolled in college and began working at the Derry’s Pub to earn money while she was in school. During college Santana met and married a classmate though the marriage didn’t last long. The two split ways amicably, realizing that they jumped into marriage far too soon though they still cared about each other very much and still keep in touch to this day.
Santana graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine and bought her own piece of property in Wolford. She mostly sets her own hours and is the type to make house calls to make it easier for pet owners in the area. She still hangs out at the Derry’s Pub and picks up extra shifts when one of their bartenders calls out for the day and they need someone to cover for them. But Santana is mostly just trying to live a comfortable life around the family that loved her and the siblings she cares so much about. But a part of her can’t help but wonder about the birth mother she never got to know- and wonder if her marriage had been a mistake or if it was the divorce that had been.

Name: Bex Antionette Archambeau Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 35 Birthday: February 14th Occupation: Bail bondsman/bounty hunter Species: Shapeshifter Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Gemma Arterton
Bio:
Bex was born in England to a human father and a shapeshifter mother who only revealed what she truly was just before she and her husband got married. The oldest of three shifter children Bex grew up running wild and visiting her extended family in France. They lived a very comfortable life but their eldest daughter had always been restless. As such she had decided she needed to leave England behind as soon as she was able to, something inside of her always itching for more, for an adventure.
She left England and headed for the states and tried to find the best thing to keep her occupied. In the end she found herself bored and restless with any normal job she tried out. When she was three months past turning twenty-one she met a man in a bar old enough to be her father. He introduced himself as Deacon, a bounty hunter. The two of them spent the next several hours chatting over drinks and by the early morning hours Bex was fascinated. She wanted to know everything about what he did, wanted into the world. Deacon became her mentor and, despite how much her father would have hated it if he found out, sometimes her lover. The two travelled together for the next few months with Deacon teaching her everything she needed to know to be in the business. And after Deacon was sure she  was ready? The two went their separate ways.
After that Bex moving from place to place taking jobs and making the money she could along the way before settling into the Appalachian town of Wolford. There was nothing super special about it from the outside looking in but something about that the town that called out to her. So she settled into the town, opened up her own bail bondsmen business and kept doing her bounty hunting work, integrating herself into the shifter and werewolf community in the area. she befriended quite a few of them but for the most part has kept her distance from getting too close to others. Just in case she ever wanted to leave again.
She is good to the people she does manage to befriend but other than those few people she doesn’t have many people that last in her life for more than a couple of months, always the girl who guys date for a while and then move on from. But that always suited her just fine. Because a part of her is sure she’s going to end up leaving that place and that’s so much easier without deep connections. But for now she’s content where she is and with the people she’s with. And who knows? Perhaps one day Wolford will feel like a permanent home.

Name: Meadow Faye Kerr Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 34 Birthday: April 16th Occupation: Reporter, Wolford Gazette Species: Seelie Fae Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Amelia Rose Blaire
Bio:  (Triggers:  Mentions of alcoholism, divorce, arranged marriage )
Meadow Kerr is the oldest child born into what at the time people would consider a semi-close family. Her maternal grandfather, a human, had been a raging alcoholic who left the family before Meadow was born, a fact that shaped the girl’s opinion on alcohol growing up and caused her to avoid it more often than not. But once her grandmother remarried it had seemed that the entire course of the family’s existence was destined to be idealistic. But idealism is very short-lived and usually seen through rose-colored glasses.
Meadow’s two younger siblings were born rather quickly after she was and shortly after the youngest of the three was born, seemingly out of nowhere, their father left the family. No explanation was offered, no warning signs had been around. One day they were a happy family with a new baby and the next their mother was raising her children on her own. Her father remarried within a year of the divorce which left the town to talk, assuming he had been cheating on his wife and decided it was time to get out of the situation though to this day no one knows for sure.
Her mother remarried a few years after that and Meadow came to think of her stepfather as her parent having very little contact with her biological father over the years instead preferring to keep only slight contact with her younger half-siblings. They weren’t, after all, at fault for the family situation and she couldn’t bring herself to take out her bitterness towards their mutual father on them.
But because of the family strife that came from that kind of upheaval Meadow learned to play things close to the vest and keep a lot to herself. In high school she was very self-isolating, not trusting to get too close to too many people out of fear that she would soon lose them in her life as well. She was so isolating, in fact, that she didn’t have a real relationship until college where she met someone she dated for three years before they split just as suddenly as her parents had. She hasn’t dated that much since then instead focusing on other aspects of her life.
Upon graduating she took a job as a reporter at the local newspaper, a position that sometimes puts her at odds with others. Some people find her far too nosy for her own good though she reasons that comes with the territory of her job. But more than that she also figures that the more supernatural beings there are in the newspaper the better it is for the supernatural community in the town. They can, after all, keep certain things hidden from the town at large and know what can and cannot be made public. As such she does tend to work pretty closely with the town sheriff at times to know what can and cannot be released about events to protect the various non-human residents in town.
A year ago her father suddenly made contact with her again. At first he seemed as though he wanted to reconnect with the children he had left behind but soon it became rather clear that he had ulterior motives. Her father, always looking for something better in his life had decided the best way to get that was to arrange a marriage between his eldest child and a rich family in town. Meadow made it clear she had no desire to be a part of the scheme but her protests fell on deaf ears and she has found herself engaged in name only to a man she has yet to meet.

+  compassionate, intelligent, accepting

Name: Rydell “Ry” Amara LaFontaine Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 28 Birthday: July 19th Occupation: Manager/tattoo artist & manager, Blue Moon Tattoos Species: Werewolf, Enforcer, Harvest Moon Pack Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Elizabeth GIllies
Bio: (Triggers: Teen pregnancy, alcohol and drug use, self-esteem issues )
Rydell was born to a seventeen year-old mother who was completely unprepared to be a parent- let alone to do it alone. Who Rydell’s father is? Well, that has always been a mystery to her, one her mother never dared to share the answer to. As a small child the used to ask question upon question about who her father was, where he was- anything she could think of. But her mother had always remained tightlipped and so Ry has never known anything about the man who fathered her- not his name, what he looked like- or even if he is one of the residents Wolford.
Knowing that she could be passing by her father and members of her family every day without being aware ate away at the girl for a good portion of her childhood. While her mother did the best that she could raising Ry and Rydell’s younger brother- also without a father- she couldn’t stop from wondering about the family she never knew. But the wondering led to questions that she simply couldn’t find an answer to, questions about why her father wasn’t in her life. Had he known about her? Did he care? And if he did know? Why wasn’t he in her life? What had been so bad about her that he had decided to keep away from his own daughter? Eventually those questions became a bitter poison inside of the girl’s brain and heart. While still very close to her mother and younger half-brother the girl built a wall around her heart to keep her safe from the rest of the world. Putting up a wall was far easier than letting people in. If she didn’t let people get close to her then she couldn’t get hurt. And she would get hurt. Because it couldn’t have been more clear that there had to be something wrong with her. If there wasn’t? Then her father probably would have been in her life at least a little bit.
Over the years Rydell became a bitter, cold person. Most people would consider her cruel or rude; most people didn’t enjoy her company. She had a select group of people that she was still close to, both her mother and brother being a part of that small group. For years the only real socialization that she had was when she was out partying, falling far too easily into drinking too much and using drugs and sex to escape the pain inside of her. But the people she spent time with weren’t people she considered friends- and even the friends that she had for years? She doesn’t really call them her friends either.
These days Rydell spends as little time around people outside of her small social circle as she can unless she needs some vague human contact. Most of the time she can be found at the local tattoo parlor where she works as an artist, with her small family or at one of the local bars. She’s been trying to reform her ways a little bit and while she still drinks probably far too much and goes out far too often she doesn’t get sloppy like she used to. And she’s been giving the whole celibacy thing a try for the last few months. But as broken as she is on the inside- and as cold as she acts on the outside- Ry is forever looking for affection and validation outside of what she receives from her mother and brother. It just happens to be very ironic that any time anyone seems to be getting close to her? She pushes them away.
PERSONALITY:
+ creative, resourceful, intelligent
- guarded, sarcastic, cynical

Name: Alicia Pompey Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 30 Birthday: August 1st Occupation: Unemployed Species: Witch- covenless Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Lindsey Morgan
Bio: (Triggers: Death )
Her parents were strangers that crossed paths their freshman year of college at NYU. The two didn’t hit it off at first, however Wes constantly came back to the second row third seat just to see Rosie each morning. It was a gradual thing but eventually the young woman said yes to a date. The rest of their tale was much like a movie, falling into a deep love, settling on an apartment not far from Wes’ parents home in Brooklyn. As movies go there of course was a hill to overcome, it was during the long summer nights before junior year of university when Rosie found out she was pregnant. Coming from a strong religious household Wes did the responsible thing and asked for Rosie to marry him. Nine months, a stressful wedding and thirteen hours of labor later, Alicia was welcomed into the world. Growing up over the years a bright and incredibly imaginative child the city a jungle for her to discover. Once she started school her parents had to get ‘special’ tutors to help her focus and for a time they helped but as she got older they began to recommend other ways in helping her as there was something more to Alicias 'world’. It started to drive a large wedge between her parents, only worsening when Rosie’s father passed, then Wes’ parents moved to Florida leaving the two to deal with their life. Something that they struggled with in truth, Rosie often felt that her prime years were spent raising Alicia, Wes had a lot of guilt with his wife’s issues as well as his own, believing he shouldn’t have married Rosie but instead co-parented.
Years were spent watching her parents distaste for their lives grow,  finally, in her early teens they called it quits and her mother left. Where is unknown. Wes attempted to find her, yet in a city like New York anyone could really disappear if they wanted to. Leaving him stressed and alone Wes was surprised to find Rosie’s biological mother reaching out. Although he’d never met the woman and in fact never knew anything of her beyond she existed, he warmed up quickly. Welcoming an elderly and cheerful woman into their lives. She stayed with them for a few weeks helping him at first find Rosie as well as tend to Alicia, then she moved to helping around the house and cooking meals. Something Alicia missed out on in the previous years, and Wes could see the change in her. The slightest sparkle in her eyes as she jumped into her grandmother’s arms.
When it came time for the woman to leave, Wes informed Alicia she’d be leaving with her. The city was no longer a place for his daughter to be and there was something the woman seemed to offer that he couldn’t. Despite having never been there and in the beginning being far from happy with the move something in Wolford spoke to her. Alicia felt a sense of wholeness, a piece that was left behind growing up. Then one casual evening, over the swaying flames her grandmother spoke of the stars being able to dance if they willed it. Of course she laughed at first, anyone would but like a sudden breeze moving the waves the some stars began to move in the sky. A hypnotizing motion that was unlocking a new reality for her. The following years and even after graduating, she spent her time learning about the craft of her family, even the cloud trick her grandmother did that very night.  There were answers to questions she had since childhood, the solutions to her problems. Everything was solved when she came to Wolford. Alicia found a routine in her early twenties to the recent year with her gran; studying magic, attending to the home, living a simple and happy life. The dark turn was her grandmother’s health turning for the worse, leaving her in a coma like state. For the first time in years Alicia found herself alone, on top of that she has no clue what to do with her time now. Family friends help her pay the bills with minor tasks like pet care, house cleaning, grocery shopping but she moves through the rest of her time like she’s  waiting for the credits to come on the movie.
PERSONALITY:
+ diligent, curious, independent
- private, emotional, self-destructive

Name: Malachai Josiah Dragoumis Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 31 Birthday: November 1st Occupation: Trainer, Beast Gym Species: Warlock- born into Order Of Nyx; in Stardust Coven Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Casey Deidrick
Bio:  (Triggers: mentions of violence, human sacrifice )
As a general rule witches are known as beacons of light; the guardians of nature. Unlike the wicked witches of mythos for centuries they have been known as the helpers of mankind, keepers of the balance, lights in the darkness. And for the most part that remains true- save for the Dragoumis family. For like humanity as a whole is both light and dark so is magic- and the Dragoumis family lends itself to the darker side of what magic has to offer the world.
Malachai and his twin were born into a family that took pride in their darker roots. In generations past the family thrived on blood magic, sacrificial magic. Lives were lost in the pursuit of power, of enlightenment- of more. Many in the supernatural community knew of their reputation. Some feared them, some revered them, some were disgusted by them- but none could deny the power found within their dark dealings. Nor were they certain of whether the rumors that their powers came from deals with demons was true or just that- rumors. (Besides the fact that no one in the supernatural community is even convinced demons exist.) While the days of sacrificing lives for the pursuit of power have long since passed- more than a century than anything of the like has taken place within the family- the dark stain remains on the family. And the power still resides deep inside of them, marred forever by darkness that seemed to envelop the entire family whether they wanted to follow that path or not. And all of the children have profited in some way from the dark past. After all, the family gained a decent amount of wealth through their dark magic and have always passed it on.
Growing up Kai never got bogged down in the deep roots of his dark twisted family history.  In fact, most would describe Malachai as a go lucky happy kid.  The young child always had a smile on his face and tended to be a mischievous kid finding trouble everywhere he looked, yet something about his adorable smile and sweet personality spared him any repercussions from his naughty ways.
As he started getting older and his powers were developing his family insisted on him practicing the dark arts and increasing his knowledge set and power. Kai tended to blow off studying and practicing the craft for the arcade or hanging with friends.  For the most part Kai was a normal rebellious teenager that stayed up past curfew, partied and blew off school.  Those who knew of his blood lineage always questioned whether he was a dark warlock assuming great magical strength, though many would be shocked at his mediocre hexing skills.  To say the least, Kai has great potential in the art of spells yet lacks the ambition to be what his family envisioned.
Now as an adult, Kai remains extremely close with his siblings.  Especially his twin sister who he tends to act as if they are attached to the hip.  Everyone that knows them knows they are a package deal and he probably will be the reason she ends up an old maid.  Malachai still lives a rather irresponsible life hoping from one occupation to another.  Nothing ever seems to stick.  Either, he grows bored at his current job or gets terminated for his lack of responsibility and oftentimes coming to work high.  Despite his flaws, people still are attracted to his good nature personality.

And all of the children have profited in some way from the dark past. After all, the family gained a decent amount of wealth through their dark magic and have always passed it on.
Growing up Jez felt comfortable in the dark magic that her family thrived in. She studied it, practiced it, felt it thrumming through her veins. It was as real of a part of her as a limb, one that she wouldn’t have turned her back on if she was paid to. That alone was quite the contradiction to her outward appearance. Because to those that didn’t know her and her family history, those who didn’t know what she was? Jez seemed like a perfectly kind, normal person. Good student, athlete, volunteered at the local shelter. The juxtaposition was lost on no one in the supernatural community, many of whom would wonder how much of her personality was a mask for the darkness within.
That seemingly dual nature continued in her adulthood, Jez often coming across as a kind, thoughtful individual despite the darkness living deep within her. Her human neighbors like her; other supernatural beings drawn to the darkness respect her family. And her job seems to call to a more altruistic side than her family is known for. In part she thanks one person for that- Evelyn Bolton. After befriending her sons Evelyn had taken a liking to Jez and her twin brother, seeing a potential in them for good. She took them under her wing when they were preteens, taught them light magic and became like a second mother to Jez- her kinds becoming like siblings of the blonde as well. Eventually that meant Jez made the difficult decision to defect from the coven she was born into and joining Evelyn’s- a decision that still causes some contempt in her family.
Perhaps as a way to make amends for the dark deeds in her family history Jez became a cop, doing everything she could to protect the people of the town. These days she is still loyal to Evelyn’s coven and still close to her family; she mothers her siblings as she always has, trying to guide them down the right path; she adopted her partner at work as her own sibling, looking out for him and protecting him when she feels he needs it; she is trying to find happiness in her relationship with the man she loves. But her family history still weighs heavily on her. And she is always wondering how much of that darkness is flowing through her veins.

Name: Adeline “Addie” Chantal LaFontaine Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 45 Birthday: September 16th Occupation: 10th grade English teacher Species: Werewolf, 2nd In Command, Harvest Moon pack Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Marguerite Moreau
Bio: (Triggers: teen pregnancy)
Addie LaFontaine had always been a rebellious teenager. Her father having died when she was twelve the girl felt the need to test boundaries, to push her mother; she had been determined to live her life the way she wanted to despite the rules that were set in front of her. Her mother worried for her, naturally, and that worry came to a head when Addie came home at sixteen pregnant. When her mother inquired about the father Addie was tight lipped- how could she explain to her mother that the father of her unborn child and his father had thrown money at her to get rid of the child and that the two of them left town? Instead she simply said that he wasn’t going to be around. But getting rid of the child had never been an option in her mind and so despite the concerns of her mother Addie became a teen mother to a little girl who had her grandmother’s eyes. And while Marie hadn’t been ready to be a grandmother? She took one look at that little girl and fell in love.
Being a single mother was difficult, especially given her age, and her seemingly terrible taste in men popped back up when she once again became pregnant and that child’s father bailed out as well. A single mother of two while most people were partying their twenties away Addie buckled down and did everything she could to better herself and make a good life for her kids. Her mother helped watch her kids while Addie went to college classes and she even found herself a friend who became a surrogate uncle to her children, the only male figure in their lives that never let them down; she found kindness and support in Evelyn, the woman who became the supreme of one of the local covens. It was difficult and there were a lot of nights the woman would stay up crying but she knew that she would do whatever she had to do in order to make sure her kids were happy, healthy and living good lives.
But raising her children on her own brought other worries. Her daughter in particular had questions about her father when she was young. And Addie, unsure how exactly she should answer, merely told her daughter he wasn’t around and that she didn’t need to worry about him. After all, how could one explain to their child that the father she was curious about had asked Addie to get rid of her before she was even born?
Addie watched Rydell grow up strong and smart but bitter and cold. The brunette showed love for her mother, her little brother and her grandmother but kept everyone else at bay building a wall around her heart- an act which broke Addie’s own heart. She knew that her daughter was damaged by the idea of her father abandoning her and try as she might Addie couldn’t break down that wall. The only thing she could do was encourage her to be smart, make good choices- and always remember that she had a family who loved her very much with or without a father in her life.
These days Addie remains in her hometown with her two children, watching over them and encouraging them to continue to grow even though they are both adults. She is a teacher at the local high school and is doing her best to live a good life despite how difficult her path has been. But most days she finds herself still worrying for her children- especially now that the world knows what they are.

Name: Melanie Dragoumis Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 27 Birthday: June 20th Occupation: Resident surgeon, Wolford Memorial Hospital Species: Witch, covenless, formerly Order Of Nyx Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Billie Lourd
Bio:
It’s no secret to the supernatural community who the Dragoumis family is. They are to some the definition of dark, not the kind that kids fear underneath their beds. This is the kind that swallows people whole with expectations of blood being enough to bind all. Dragoumis wasn’t short of priding themselves in it, true blood magic. Melanie grew up seeing all sides of her family. Born on the summer solstice she constantly watched her siblings looking to them for what was right and wrong.
Endless, and dark. The words floated in her mind since she was a child, an unknown want swarming around her. Melanie could never place what she was missing, but when people looked at her - like sweet little Mel, it gave her a thrill but also made her question herself. Was this all she was? Something about doing no ‘wrong’ to the people around her was exciting yet she wanted freedom from that life… Melanie was always there, listening behind a closed door or watching from a window. She knew the things her family said about one and other, the true indifference people held. The idea of being looked at or talked about in such a way made her skin crawl. One of the only ways she knew to stay in the good graces was to be just like everyone else. All too easy she found it.
Practicing dark magic from day one she soaked in it, the feeling like lightening hitting you. Her eldest siblings eventually choosing a lighter side Melanie’s all but convinced herself if she steps away from the dark she’ll be alone. A safety net that’s kept her sane when the twins weren’t there. Without them around Melanie often times was stuck entertaining herself, her family finding it enthralling the young girl engrossing herself in studies trying to prove she belonged there. Even the elders of the family sometimes took a step away from her for the effort she was putting into the practice. Pushing boundaries that most wouldn’t dare, who it hurt in the process sometimes didn’t matter but she did it all too well with an innocent smile. On some level she hoped it made her siblings proud despite their difference in loyalties. When she was old enough, Melanie stepped out of the family home and left Wolford all together.
That did surprise most however she finally took a hold of the freedom life offered. Her siblings received vague postcards from different colleges she was attending for the first few years but the last two years had been labeled ‘quiet’ as the post cards began to stop. Melanie had began a residency in Ohio that caught her attention, it made her switch her path from general to surgical and it felt like finding a purpose to life. Before she had realized it those years went by and she missed her siblings, not so much the town but it’s where they were. And with that the Dragoumis child finally returned home, as impulsively as she disappeared she reappeared moving into one of the littlest homes of Silver Meadows.

Bio:
He moved into town near six years ago, a tiny infant in tow with his jeep. On sight many assumed he’d be a loner , and even picked up a rather un-interactive job with the park rangers but Sal earned himself a place among the stay at home parents making him one of the most approachable.  All seem to go to him for tours of the woods, questions on local wild life or plant herbs, he familiarized himself with them all. A few do speculate on why he was so quick to learn those things but his motives were nothing more than wanting to be good at his job.
Time has passed since his arrival yet Sal’s past haunts him in the lingering nights. There are many questions he still never received answers for and it keeps the ranger looking over his shoulder. one particular, one that led him to this place has been revealed to the public, circling the harpies like a folktale they whisper about the mother of his child and her whereabouts, how ‘awful’ she must be to leave them as she did. Personally he’s never held such feelings about her even after the incident he’s found a love lingering there and thankfully no one has dared to question him on the matter yet. The recent weeks he’s tied himself to the woods and his home to avoid the stepfords Sal unfortunately calls friends from Silver Meadows.

Name: Valentina Koning Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 278, appears 32 Birthday: May 9th Occupation: Independently Wealthy Species: Vampire Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Megan Fox
Bio:  (Triggers:  Death, mentions of war )
When Valentina was born the world was a different place, from a Dutch family she grew up aware of her place and what was expected of her, all members of her family were. She helped her mother with all household tasks until her fingers were calloused and bloody. She couldn’t write or read but she was fascinated by nature and when she did have moments without work she would sit in her families garden and observe rabbits and birds. This seemed an interesting enough fact about her to draw the attention of a British suitor, she was married young, had children young and by her thirties was already a grandmother, as most were.
But her interest in nature tired her husband eventually and so too did she. Her life seemed repetitive and aimless until she met someone new, someone who once more took an interest in her while she sat in her garden playing with the rabbits that gathered, asking why she was not trapping them, they’d make good food, to which she simply snapped the rabbits neck and stated that not all had to be meals, some could be company but she wouldn’t starve for kindness.
She didn’t live another night and would not live again. She played out the role of her own body, listened to her funeral and eventually was dug up by the man who was, in fact, vampire. They lived wonderfully for a short time, eating as they liked and moving from place to place before they got caught, but they remained too long in one location and in trying to protect Valentina from the enraged hoard of angry humans her sire was killed and her heart broke. She had never felt so loved and now that love was gone.
Things became exceptionally difficult after that, being a woman alone was not something society allowed and with the war brewing Valentina hid herself away from it all. It would be easy to pose as a widow but even widows had family, could take on jobs as governesses but she did not intend to work at the feets of mortals. She needed to hide away until she could find someone to turn, to keep her able to move through society without being judged or controlled.
Many men crossed her path but most felt obligated to her, to her body or to what she had. Each became meals to her as her heart continued to break and the idea of ever being a part of society again faded, becoming a more distant desire with each day. Until Beau.
Beau came to her tired and wounded, her isolated home found only by those who were lost, either through travel or war. In Beau’s case it was obviously war. She aided him with food and what medical knowledge she had that was, due to the time, not very extensive. He didn’t feel owed anything by her, and seemed to keep implying the opposite, that her care made him owe her. Finally she had someone who would understand what she needed, someone who could help her move through society without a target on her back, a barrier to protect her.
In her mind, of course, he would want to be a vampire, she adored it, but upon turning him that was not the case but she insisted he could not return home, that he would hurt his family by doing so and she needed him, was that not honour enough? To help a woman who might not survive without his aid? And he helped, for a time, but their ages perhaps set them apart, where Valentina would kill without mercy, aware she needed to for survival, Beau was not the same. It kept a wall between them until he could remain no longer by her side. It felt like her world broke again, he was meant to keep her safe and yet the man she believed she’d turned, who was kind and good, was not who she had needed him to be.
Alone again Valentina found little had changed in the world, it still was loathe for a woman alone, and so she asked some witches she knew to put her to sleep. When they asked for how long she requested to remain until a person who could be her protector was ready for her. The witches warned this could be hours if this person already existed, or it could be centuries, but Valentina did not care, could not. The world was too hard to exist in alone.
Decades went by and only now has Valentina risen from her slumber. But she’d gone to sleep with no plan and now she has risen she knows she needs help. With everyone she knew before now old she knows there is only one person out there that can help her find the person who will finally be able to help her walk through this world without fear and, in Valentina’s mind, Beau owes her his assistance.

Name: Darren Carlos Rojas Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 35 Birthday: August 12th Occupation: Owner and manager of Red Moon Species: Werewolf, second in command, Grey Wind pack Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Michael Trevino
Bio:  (Triggers: Allusions to serious crimes, mercenary work, death )
It had been said many times in his life that Darren was simply born under a bad sign. When he was born his parents were ecstatic. He was the child that they had always hoped and prayed for. After all, his parents had been trying for a child for five years before Darren was born and there he was, their miracle baby. But quickly the excitement of finally having the child they had always wanted faded. By the time their son had hit first grade it became apparent to them that something was amiss. By then their second child had been born and Darren quickly showed that he hadn’t developed the same emotional range that other children his age had. Solemn and somewhat cold their son had a problem connecting with other people and often had little reaction to anything sad or violent that would happen around him.
That only worsened as Darren got older. Puberty and his first shift only seemed to make him colder and those around him soon realized that any friendly or polite interaction with him was an act. His parents sought professional help assuming that they could fix whatever was wrong with their child. But there would be no fixing Darren. Something inside of him was skewed and if he felt the normal range of emotions? They were buried deep beneath the surface, so deep that even he didn’t seem to have access to it.
When his sister was born, a human like their mother which was completely unexpected, their parents finally had the child that they always wanted. It put less pressure on Darren to try to pretend to be normal but connecting with his sister was just as difficult as it was connecting with others. He treated her decently enough and she didn’t seem to see exactly what he was which was a nice change from their parents who looked at him with skepticism. Sometimes he even wondered if their parents didn’t worry he would one day hurt his sister- which was never an urge he had.
Throughout high school his so-called friendships were superficial at best, connections simply used to put his parent’s minds at ease and to appear normal to those around him. But Darren always knew that when push came to shove none of the people he spent his time with mattered much to him at all. Not his supposed friends, not his family- no one. He knew that it wasn’t normal not to care about others at all but it was normal for him. And soon after graduation he left Wolford and cut off all contact with the people there.
For over a decade following his departure Darren travelled the world, never sticking in one place too long. And for the better part of that time he paid his way working as a mercenary, taking on whatever job was offered to him and completing them without hesitation. His inability to connect to others made that life easy- there was no guilt, no remorse and no one to worry about leaving behind. On the rare occasions that he would return to Wolford? His parents had learned not to ask about his life and how things were going. In truth? Darren was sure that his parents were afraid of the answers they would get were they to ask.
He returned to Wolford a few years ago and reconnected with his uncle, the only member of the family who seemed to accept him exactly as he was even while know exactly what his was. And when his uncle passed away a year after Darren’s return he left the bar he owned to his nephew. While part of the man wanted to leave again he also knew he owed it to his uncle to take care of his business and so he remained in Wolford.
In the years since his return Darren has done a rather good job of faking connections to others like he always had. Some people can see the real him beneath he mask but most are blissfully unaware of what he’s really like. He’s all too aware that he doesn’t need his job and can live off the money he made as a mercenary but sometimes you have to play normal to put people at ease. But outside of the people at the bar and the pack he doesn’t speak to too many people unless it’s necessary. And he certainly doesn’t go beyond the normal required communication with his parents. And as for his little sister? Well, he’s still like he had always been with her which is to say they aren’t close but if anyone ever messed with her? He has a lot more experience now on how to get rid of them.
About a year ago he found out that someone he had a casual relationship had his child- and only found out when the courts called him asking him if he wanted custody following the mother’s death. At first Darren wasn’t sure raising a child on his own was a good idea given his inability to connect with people but given that giving them a grandchild was the only thing he had ever done to make his parents seem proud of him he decided to give them that. For the last year he has been raising his now four year-old daughter on his own- with a little help from time to time from his sister, a “friend” and the pack.

Name: Willow “Will” Elizabeth Bolton Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 26 Birthday: May 1st Occupation: Barista, Wicked Brew; part time waitress, Derry’s Pub Species: Witch, Stardust Coven Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Kennedy McMann
Bio: (Triggers: teen pregnancy, allusions to addiction)
Willow Bolton was born the only daughter of Evelyn Bolton, the Supreme of the Stardust coven, and Jack Bolton, a local firefighter. Her whole childhood she looked up to and idolized her elder brothers- to the point where she started going by Will. Everything good she saw in her brothers she wanted to adapt for herself- and being the only girl she was the apple of her father’s eye.
For the most part despite the chaos that came as her magic was developing Will’s childhood was happy and simplistic- until when she was nine years-old her brother Cassidy came home and told everyone he was going to be a father. An aunt at ten years-old and several more times to follow before she reached adulthood, Will was suddenly growing up very quickly and took it upon herself to aid in the care of her nieces and nephews. The desire to do so became stronger once Cassidy fell down a dark path and was no longer reliable when it came to the care of his kids. Will became the parent they needed all while missing out on a lot of the normal teenage experience. It was a choice she never regretted but one that weighed heavily on her- her nieces and nephews deserved a father they could depend on.
Wanting to help people like her brother originally Will applied to college to study nursing. But eventually she realized she was doing that for the wrong reasons and dropped out before she got her degree. Finally moving out of her family home Will got herself a cheap but nice little house, became a barista at the local café and took on shifts at the family bar. More often than not she feels aimless and without focus, unsure what she wants to do with her life and despite being surrounded by a coven who is a second family and an actual family who loves her dearly she often feels lonely and isolated.
For the better part of her life the siblings were always had each other’s back and were each other’s defenders. But in recent years whispering within the coven has been putting some tension into the Bolton family, whispers about who would take over for their mother when she ready to step down as supreme. With two of her elder brothers out of the running following their transformations into werewolves the coven seems to be torn with who they wish to see take over- some still believe Cassidy who had been considered a child prodigy as the best option; some believe Cassidy is too untrustworthy and reckless to lead and would rather see Will take over following proof she is every bit as talented as Cassidy had proven to be.
Will tries to ignore the whispers within the coven and does her best to keep her relationship with her brothers in tact. She can often be found visiting Gray and Daniel, especially given the fact that werewolves are now public knowledge. But somewhere deep inside of her Willow longs for something more. But she isn’t quite sure what that is.

Name: Grayson Bolton Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 32 Birthday: March 15th Occupation: Miner at Silver Creek Mines Species: Werewolf, lone wolf Neighborhood: Ace’s Trailer Park Face Claim: Richard Madden
Bio:  (Triggers: mentions of drug abuse )
Grayson grew up in a unique family; his father was human and his mother a powerful witch who acted as a supreme for the Stardust Coven.  Born number number two, Grayson has four other siblings, one including his identical twin brother Cassidy.
Throughout his childhood, Grayson always felt he lived in his older brother and twin brother’s shadows.  Daniel was the rebellious teenager who had all this energy and charisma about him, while Cassidy was the outgoing, smart one who excelled in magic.  Grayson was just your average kid, made decent grades but oftentimes blended in.  He became a wallflower, always around but never noticed.  Even the girl next door, who he had affections for only had eyes for his twin.
At age sixteen, he became an uncle and absolutely loved his nephew.  Yet, the next few years would be some of the hardest moments of his life as he watched his twin, his other half fall into despair and spiral out of control with drugs.  As always, attention was on Cassidy and his children and he faded away.  Eventually, at eighteen he joined the marines and was sent to Fallujah soon after basic training.  During his six years in the marines, he did three tours and came back to Wolford even more broken than when he left.
After his return to the town, he became one of the miners at Silver Creek Mines.  The days are long and lonely, but he manages to get by.  If needed, he will help his oldest brother at Derry’s Pub, the family owned bar that their father opened while as a firefighter.  All the civil servants of town can be seen there.
For years, he has managed to just get by not really making a fuss.  Wake up, go to work, drink a few beers, go to sleep and repeat.  Simple enough.
Yet, his simple life flipped upside down when his oldest brother accidentally changed him into a werewolf, stripping him of all his warlock powers.  Now, he is very new and has very little control over the beast inside and when the full moon, it compels him to shift.  It is said it gets easier, that he will have control later on but at the moment it seems very far away and out of his grasp.  He has yet to join a pack, instead he remains his usual loner self.

Name: Cole Einstein Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 33 Birthday: May 24th Occupation: History teacher, Wolford High School Species: Werewolf, Greywind pack, member Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Michael Vlamis
Bio:
One of the wealthier families to come into the area in the last century the Einsteins have a long standing and well perceived reputation in Wolford.  The latest generation produced two sons, one being Cole Einstein, the younger of the two brothers. A bit of a prodigy to the outside; kind-hearted, polite, excellent in studies and a musical talent as well there wasn’t much that he couldn’t achieve given the opportunity. Well his parents thrived in having a perfect child, Cole cared little about fitting in simply doing what he needed. And all though it seemed so normal - a rich family with two sons -  there was something too perfect that some couldn’t place their finger on.
People speculated, they lived their lives. His parents ran the country club in Wolford, his brother got married and he attended college. Although Cole didn’t care much for the picture his family liked to portray he was never far from them, his university was within drive and he often visited the area. During the years of studying his path did however crossed with his now ex wife, a person he would describe as someone outside the frame of life and a breath of air he hadn’t realized he was gasping for. They were overly and deeply in love to the point where the ended up splitting, they parted mutually and have stayed close friends. It’s been one of the few reasons he stays in the area, as after college he got a job at the high school and moved into an apartment downtown. All was well for a few years…
When the world began to open to the supernatural, that perfect thing that bugged everyone finally made itself known. To some it was less than perfect, in fact it was monstrous. The Einsteins were a long lineage of wolves and Cole’s father saw the world changing and took it as an opportunity to open arms, show that at least their family was no harm. Cole on the other hand wasn’t excited at his fathers doing, it put a target on all of their backs. Fights happen behind closed doors, afraid of the bigger picture crashing down into the town as the towns people could accept them who knew what lay out beyond Wolford searching for creatures of the beyond. No matter the fear, the fights or concern he still stands by his family knowing well a wolf has better chances with a pack than alone.
PERSONALITY:
+ knowledgeable , witty, empathetic

Name: Sol Velasco Delgado Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 33, appears 30 Birthday: February 14th Occupation: Bar singer, Stoker Species: Vampire Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Alberto Rosende
Bio: (Triggers: cancer, death)
Sol was an orphan since an young age. His family was killed right in front of him by a werewolf on a full moon, he wasn’t young enough to forget, he was 10, and he would remember it if it wasn’t for the fact that a vampire erased his memory, so he forgot how they were killed and that supernatural creatures existed. Before that, he lived in Cuba, but had to move away, because his legal guardians lived in Wolford, so he had to move and start a new life, which meant that on top of having to deal with the fact he lost his parents and siblings, he also had to deal with starting a new life in a new place.
Didn’t help that he could be pretty shy, and had a difficult to do as much as start a conversation with someone he didn’t know, which resulted in him getting lost a few times because he couldn’t ask for directions. At least he had a good support system, his legal guardians, who were his parents’ friends, and were so close to his parents that he called both of them of uncle and tío. Despite that, he did stay quite distant for some time, it was expected and they respected that, let him take his time, and did what they could to cheer him up. Slowly he started to get better and was going back to being his bright and positive guy.
High school wasn’t that hard, his love for music grew and his style changed completely, he pierced his ear, and started wearing a lot black clothes, along with never getting out of home without am eyeliner. The funny thing was that people always assumed he was the opposite of a ray of sunshine, because stereotypes were still strongly believed, along with thinking that he only listened to rock, but his music taste was pretty eclectic, however, those things didn’t offend him, because why would they?
High school ended and he started majoring in music at college, which was also where he met his first girlfriend. He slept around a lot before college, despite the fact that he was still pretty shy and couldn’t make the first move nor could tell when a woman was into him, as he was pretty clueless about that kind of stuff, didn’t help that he was quite insecure about his appearance, but he never actually dated anyone, she was the first.
They dated through the whole college years, she was sweet, she was stunning, and she was fun, she was also extremely supportive of his music, and encouraged him to start a band, but sadly their relationship didn’t last. They ended in good terms, she broke up with him after college, because she wanted to explore the world and knew that he hated travelling, at least when he had to stay away from home for more than 4 days. She knew that if he went with her, he wouldn’t be happy and would just go so he could stay with her, so she didn’t think they didn’t have any other choice. The day she left, he took her to the airport, they spent the whole weekend together, a way to say goodbye, and in the airport, they said their last goodbye.
He went on with his life, his band officially got a job at a bar, and he even dated someone a few years ahead, which definitely ended a lot worse than his last relationship, as he was cheated on. After that he didn’t date anyone else, and focused more on one night stands and friends with benefit, too scared to get hurt again. But that was far from the most shocking thing that happened.
When the world found out about the supernatural world, he couldn’t be more shocked. It was terrifying to him, because humans always tend to fear what they don’t understand, the unknown, but he never treated any of them in a bad way for who they were, especially after a vampire saved his life. He met him in one of his shows, they talked and Sol told him that he would soon no longer be among the living, as he found out he had cancer and it was on a stage where he couldn’t be cured anymore. Desmond offered him a chance to change that, told him that if he turned him, he would be able to live. Sol didn’t give him an answer right away, he told him he needed some time to think.
One week later, he told him that he would accept his offer, he wasn’t ready to die yet, so he was turned. It was so hard to learn how to control his powers and not lose control when thirsty, but he Desmond there to help, and he couldn’t be more grateful.

Name: Marco DeCastilla Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 38 Birthday: March 15th Occupation: Physician; Internal Medicine (Hematologist) / Alchemist Species: Warlock; Coven of the Raven (Legacy) Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Roberto Urbina
Bio:
For centuries the DeCastilla family name–in addition to a reputation as longstanding and well respected members of the Coven of the Raven–has been synonymous in occult circles with one unique discipline: Alchemy.  Attempted by many yet mastered by few, their specialized techniques are closely guarded secrets and have been passed down for generations.  Though advancements in science have propelled human capabilities into the realm of what once might have been considered ‘magic’, there is still no better means by which to transmute or alter the very building blocks of something than via the talents of a DeCastilla Alchemist.
Patriarch Ramon DeCastilla realized this, and decided to position his family ahead of the accelerating curve; an adaptive strategy for a changing world.  Pivoting his arcane mercantile into a pharmaceutical company, Cuervo International, he pioneered the modern day fusion of magic and medicine, using alchemical techniques to develop groundbreaking and remarkably effective treatments for an array of human maladies.  The endeavor’s success propelled the DeCastilla fortune into orbit.
Marco DeCastilla was born in Houston, Texas; the only child of Ramon DeCastilla’s eldest son, José, and his human wife, Julia.  The two doted upon their son and his upbringing was undeniably privileged, though not without exposure to the realities of the world.  Renown socialites an philanthropists, Marco’s parents often included him in their humanitarian efforts; pouring resources into medical charities and outreach.  It was through these experiences that Marco discovered his own passion for building a better world, and saw his best path to do so was not as a pharmaceutical executive, but as a doctor.
In conjunction with his family’s arcane instruction, Marco received a world-class traditional education; eventually attending Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Medical School where he pursued internal medicine with a focus in hematology, later returning to Houston to complete his residency and undertake a research fellowship at his family’s institution.  Enabled by his combined magical and scientific training, Marco’s vision delved into uncharted territory.  Treading into the gray zone of what constitutes sanctioned practice, he turned his sights away from the alchemical possibilities of substances and chemicals used to treat illness and disease, and instead onto the potential for alchemy as a more direct vehicle for altering a patient’s physiological state: blood magic, in the most literal sense of the term.
Practicing such a taboo discipline has not come without personal cost.  Some on the coven’s high council, and within his own family, have spoken out in disapproval of Marco’s work citing its dangerous implications.  Others are more supportive, and particularly since the world at large learned of the existence of the supernatural–and of magic–see his refinement of such techniques as a the natural evolution of medicine.  Proponents within the coven further note the applications beyond human healthcare, suggesting possibilities such as superior synthetic blood for vampire consumption, or lunar shift blockers for lycanthropes.  Detractors consider the value to other species a liability; one which might threaten the DeCastilla family’s proprietary techniques or the security of the coven at large.  Debate has been fierce, and though he believes strongly in what he is doing the past few years have taken a toll on Marco.
Mounting stress both in his professional and personal life has at times driven him to seek respite through substance abuse; a grim facet of the DeCastilla business legacy.  This further exacerbated the already crumbling state of his romance with fellow witch and surgeon Melanie Dragoumis, and reluctantly they ended their two-year long relationship.  With Melanie’s grounding presence gone, Marco continued to spiral, and on Christmas Day, 2021 he suffered an overdose.  It was a family scandal and a breaking point for his father; the two have since been on chilly terms with one another.  Under growing pressure from his coven to abandon his research entirely, and with nowhere in Houston safe from his family’s judgement and influence, Marco decided he was overdue for a change of scenery.
Embarking on an extended sabbatical, Doctor Marco DeCastilla has relocated to the sleepy Tennessee town of Wolford, intent upon re-centering himself and continuing his work in a less politically fraught environment…and perhaps another chance to catch the one that got away.  He paid cash for an obscenely large house in the Shimmering Oaks neighborhood, where he lives alone with his familiar; a crow named Magdalena.  Marco is quickly learning that life is very different from what he had been accustomed to here in his new community.
Most who meet Marco DeCastilla will find rather promptly that he is a wickedly intelligent man, and he knows it.  If a conversation turns toward an area he’s knowledgeable about, he’ll be sure to let everyone else know it, too.  Though not exactly prone to boasting, it is clear that he’s passionate about his work.  Despite what some might characterize as arrogance in this regard, Marco is a deeply caring and empathetic person. He would help his worst enemy if they needed it, without a moment’s hesitation. To strangers, he can seem aloof and even cold, but he quickly warms to even the most unlikely of people.  While he is seldom intentionally impolite, he does tend to be exceedingly blunt and exhibits a decidedly dry sense of humor.  Some find it charming, others abrasive.
Compared to the decadence with which he was raised, he now lives a fairly private, if not entirely modest lifestyle; though no one would accuse Marco DeCastilla of cheapness or frugality.  If he wants something, he buys it with the effortless nonchalance of someone who has never had to wonder whether or not there is enough in his bank account to cover the expense.  His background and workaholic tendencies have been isolating in a sense; he is a man of many acquaintances, but few close friends, and considers himself “chronically single” (self-diagnosed).  Marco’s lifestyle has been hard on his romantic pursuits–most potential partners interested in anything serious are less than keen on playing second fiddle to the doctor’s research–though his failed relationship with Melanie Dragoumis did buck the trend, at least for a while.  Those who have become dear to him are doted upon and can expect unwavering loyalty.  The best way to earn his approval is to simply have good intentions. Marco has an almost endless capacity for forgiveness–provided he finds someone to be a fundamentally good person. He’s very hard to fool in this regard; if someone is manipulating him, chances are he’ll catch on in short order.

+ Brilliant, Dedicated, Good-Natured
- Arrogant, Blunt, Spoiled

Name: Juliet “Jules” Carmichael Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 28 Birthday: January 21st Occupation: Waitress, Miss Clara’s Diner Species: Shapeshifter Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Margaret Qualley
Bio: ( tw: Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, Drug Abuse, Drug Related Death )
Juliet’s earliest memory was of her older brother. She’d like to be able to say it was a pleasant one, but recalling the first time Mason put himself between their abusive father’s fists and her tiny frame wasn’t exactly a joyful childhood memory. She’d been an accident, just like Mason had been eight years prior, and the abuse that the young Carmichael children received at the hands of their parents, both verbal and physical, made it clear to both of them that neither their mother or father felt any semblance of love for them. The lack of care her parents showed towards their children left Juliet feeling empty and like she wasn’t good enough from a young age, but the sheer amount of adoration and unconditional love that Mason had for his younger sister acted as something of a band aid; whilst it couldn’t erase the trauma created by the the failings of their mother and father, it more than helped to ease the pain. In many ways, Mason was more like a parent to her than a brother; he’d changed her dirty diapers when she was a baby, prepared food for her when she was hungry, comforted her whenever she cried. He was her protector. Her best friend. The most important person in her life. The bond shared between the two siblings was as tough as the hardships that had forged it.
Jules quickly learnt that remaining quiet and out of the way was key to avoiding abuse. She sunk her attention into creative pursuits, anything that could sweep her mind up and transport her to another place; somewhere far, far away from that awful, dirty trailer she had to call home. You’d most commonly find Juliet with paint splatters on her fingers and clothes, her nose stuck in a second hand book or sat at the back of the movie theatre, eagerly watching whatever film her and Mason had managed to sneak in to see with awe and amazement. She was a bright, intelligent girl who loved to learn and adored school. Her teachers were continually impressed with her, as were the leaders of the theatre and art programs she took part in after school. Their praise overjoyed the young girl, but deep down, Jules had secretly hoped that if she were to excel at something, anything - whether that be her grades at school, her acting and dance abilities or her talent at painting portraits - it might be enough to gain the attention of her parents in a positive way. To make them proud. To make them love her.
Juliet’s desires for her future lay far beyond the delapidated trailer she’d spend most of her childhood in, even beyond Wolford. From the moment she stepped into her first theatre class, the shapeshifter knew it was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She had dreams of moving to the Big Apple and getting her big break on the Broadway stage, to earn a living doing the thing she was most passionate about; acting. Of course, Mason would be right there alongside her in NYC and she’d finally be able to support him the way he’d supported her, both emotionally financially. He’d not only been Juliet’s biggest fan from day one, but had funded all of her creative hobbies as soon as he as able to, until she got a job of her own working at Church Hill Drive In. Mason was also paying for them to live in a downtown apartment, just the two of them, so they could finally be free from the abuse that they’d endured at the hands of their parents for far too long and Juliet could spend the rest of her childhood growing up in a better environment. And upon her graduation from high school, it seemed like Mason’s unconditional support had paid off: based on her exemplary grades and the merit of her creative abilities, the youngest Carmichael was granted a full arts scholarship to a college only a couple of hours outside of Wolford. The scholarship remained available even after Juliet decided to defer for a year, choosing to work at the drive in full time so she could save enough to be able to provide for herself as much as possible whilst at college.
For the first few years of college, Jules threw herself into her studies in much the same way she had during her earlier education, majoring in theatre with a minor in fine arts. Nearly every other weekend was spent back home in Wolford to spend quality time with Mason, unable to keep herself away from her brother for any extended period of time. One weekend would stick in her mind over any other, though; it was hard to forget the moment she pulled up outside Mason’s apartment and witnessed her brother being lead away by police. She’d always had a suspicion that he’d been involved in some shady dealings, but the extent of his illegal activity had, for the most part, been successfully hidden from her. Mason’s arrest devastated Jules, and his subsequent conviction floored her even more. It felt as though her entire world no longer made sense and, as a result, she went into a downward spiral. In an attempt to try and cope with the confusing mix of emotions that had overtaken her and fill the void that her brother had left behind, Juliet fell into the drug scene herself. What started as taking a little something to help numb the pain every few days quickly descended into getting high and partying almost every night. This was only encouraged by her college roommate, Nancy, who, a notorious party girl herself, had always tried to get the more reclusive Juliet to come out for a night on the town over the years that they’d been rooming together. Nancy had been the one to initially offer Juliet drugs after seeing that she was going through a hard time, thinking getting high might help the brunette to relax.
Within only a few months, her senior year had rolled around and Jules had a big performance to prepare for at the end of her first semester. Overwhelmed and unable to focus the night before the show, Juliet decided, after much pestering from Nancy, to go to a kegger at a frat house on campus to try to relieve some stress. Nancy, who was already at the party, had texted Juliet to ask her to score some dope before heading over. Unable to get a hold of her regular dealer, Jules instead made the decision to head off campus and scout a dealer on the street on the way to the party. The guy she chose to approach seemed a little sketchy, but Juliet decided to shrug off the unsettling feeling and went ahead with the purchase. Upon arriving at the frat house, it was clear to the shifter that Nancy was already overly intoxicated. Juliet felt uneasy about giving her friend anything else, but before she could protest, Nancy was pulling her into a corner and taking her share of the product. There wasn’t much that Juliet could do now. She was already stressed enough about her show the next day, without worrying about Nancy on top of that. Pushing her concerns to the back of her mind, Jules took her own fix and joined the fray of partygoers. The loud bass thumping in her eardrums, a sea of bodies crashing in waves around her and a nausea inducing haze clouding her mind were the only things Juliet could remember about that night.
The next day, Jules awoke in the hospital, her head heavy with a drowsy feeling unlike anything she’d ever experienced. It wasn’t long before the police arrived to speak to her: Juliet had been found unresponsive earlier that morning, passed out in the theatre department, and Nancy had unfortunately passed away from a suspected overdose. Guilt couldn’t begin to describe what Jules felt. Through floods of tears, she told the police everything that she could think to be important. Ultimately, the drugs the girls had taken were found to be laced with synthetic substance that had caused them both to experience such severe reactions. Juliet wasn’t formerly charged by the police, she had her squeaky clean records and academic achievements to thank for that, but she was kicked out of college. It almost hurt her more than being arrested would have, knowing that she was so close to graduating and finally being able to achieve her dreams.
Disgraced, the shifter moved back to Wolford, refusing to admit the truth about her abrupt return to anyone, not even her brother. Juliet knew it would completely crush Mason if her knew the real reason she’d left college. Instead, she was deliberately vague and told him that college turned out to not be a good fit for her. The benefit of having a brother behind bars meant that he had no choice to believe any information she fed him, no matter how guilty it made her feel to lie to him. In the years since her return to Wolford, Jules has done her best to turn over a new leaf. She quit doing drugs cold turkey, vowing never to touch another substance again. She also took a job as a waitress at Miss Clara’s Diner; a place that had always felt like a home away from home to her and Mason. Although working at Miss Clara’s wasn’t what she had dreamed she’d be doing with her life, Jules is a reliable, hard worker, pushing herself so that she can prove that she’s not as worthless as she often feels.
Jules has always been a warm and compassionate individual with a creative soul and a sympathetic heart. She has a quiet strength to her, and a smile that’ll make even the toughest bastard melt a little. Since Nancy’s death and getting kicked out of college, the shifter has become a little more closed off and guarded than she used to be. As such, it can take a bit time for her to get close to people, but once you manage to break through the walls around her heart, you have a fierce friend who will defend you with every fiber of her being. And now, with her brother out of prison and back by her side, she finally feels like she is something close to being whole again.

Name: Tatiana Providentia Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 27 Birthday: December 11th Occupation: Reporter Species: Human Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Tati Gabrielle
Bio: ( tw: child abandonment)
Twenty-five years ago, when Tatiana was just two years-old she was dropped on social services with no information, other than her name. The social carers who would have taken her in seemed to have no memory of either her arrival, or who had dropped the child there. Tatiana’s origin story had been nothing but a mystery that was likely to go unsolved, like so many other forgotten children in the system.
Luckily for Tatiana she was adopted by a couple when she was about eight years old, and unlike many of the kids she saw move through the system, Tatiana did not return. The couple who adopted her, Luke and Naomi Barron adored Tatiana and she adored them in return. Tatiana took on their surname and became Tatiana Barren.
Her parents ran a dog handling business that sourced and trained working dogs for prison work, police work, and on occasion, personal security. Tatiana was raised outdoors, working alongside her parents with the dogs, and caring for them. She was only twelve when her parents let her run as a decoy for the first time, and she had such a natural way with dogs, that it came as a surprise both to herself and her parents when she developed an interest in writing, and more specifically; journalism.
While not especially wealthy, Tatiana’s parents paid for her to study to become a reporter, and when she moved to the UK to work as a trainee journalist, they covered her NCTJ qualification fees. Despite missing her parents and the world of working dogs, Tatiana was an especially tenacious and brave journalist, and she was devoted to her career.
When the vampires came out of the closet, Tatiana began to specialise in supernatural investigative journalism. She wrote thousands of articles on equal rights for vampires, attended several marches and made a few very well received documentaries about the lives of vampires and their political struggles within the human world.
When werewolves came out, Tatiana was the most experienced freelance journalist working with Supernatural’s, so she was the obvious candidate to interview England’s first MP to come out as a werewolf. Career wise, Tatiana was doing incredibly well, but things took a turn for the worse, when a story about her parents hit the news.
Her parents were training and selling dogs to some of America’s most infamous Vampire Hunters. Within a week, her reputation as a Supernatural’s advocate was destroyed, no one would work with Tatiana again, and she received multiple death threats from Vampires and Werewolves who assumed she was a closeted vampire hunter. In the end, Tatiana was forced to flee the UK and return to her familial home.
Tatiana’s adoptive parents felt terrible for not having told their daughter what turn their business had taken, but they would not stop working with the Hunters. The money was good, and they were no fans of the Supernatural world that Tatiana had spent years defending. Disgusted with her parents and disgraced by her industry Tatiana cut all her hair off, changed her name back to Providentia, the one she had been left with as an orphan and moved to Wolford after a job at the Wolford Gazette became available and by some miracle, no one recognised her. Or at least, no one brought her reputation up.
Prior to moving out of her adoptive parent’s home, Tatiana stole two of their best Malinois’s and brought them with her to Wolford. Tatiana is still a passionate advocate for equal rights for the supernatural, despite her false reputation as a hunter.

Name: Maximilian “Max” Dawson Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 41 Birthday: September 1st Occupation: Doctor at Wolford Memorial Hospital Species: Seelie Fae Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Chris Evans
Bio: (TW: Illness, death, grief)
Born only a year after his brother Felix, Maximilian Dawson is the second member of the large Dawson brood. While Felix was ostensibly in charge and the self-proclaimed fun brother, Max was the responsible one. Their siblings went to Felix for fun, and came to Max for support and comfort when they were hurt. Max was always a little quieter, much less boisterous, and when he got older he was the one making sure everyone got out the door to school on time with full stomachs and their books in order. From early on, he liked to help, to heal where he could, and developed a knack for using his Fae powers of perception manipulation to take pain away. When the little ones scraped their knees or bruised their knuckles, Max actually could kiss it better, or at least make it hurt less. Max wasn’t that popular in high school, he had probably an average social standing, but he worked hard, got good grades, and was well liked by his teachers. He did join the football team and since it was the only sport he played he made sure he was good at it. His perfectionist tendencies served him well in terms of sports and school but it did mean that he took things exceptionally hard if he failed or didn’t do well and tended to metaphorically beat himself up about it.
Max knew from an early age that he wanted to help people and when he realised he could use his powers to take away or lessen pain becoming a doctor only seemed to make sense. University and med school in general were ruinously expensive, however, so he worked as well and as hard as he could to win as many grants and scholarships as possible. These helped pay for his undergraduate degree, at least, which he did at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. It was a good school and also only a couple of hours from Wolford so Max could stay connected to his family and the younger siblings that were just growing up or hadn’t been born yet when he moved out. Doing very well in his first degree, Max got accepted into a pre-med program at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. While there was some financial aid available, in order to pay for med school Max had to take out copious quantities of student loans but it seemed worth it to him in order to get the education he needed to help people the way he wanted to.
While in medical school, Max met Virginia Clemens, though she mostly went by Ginny. Both med students, they initially started out as study partners and friends. She was just as dedicated as Max but somewhat less strictly organized so while he helped her with that she helped him to be a little more spontaneous. It wasn’t long before they started dating and fell in love. They waited until they were both finished school to get married and even then it was a pretty subdued affair with only close family and friends attending. She wore her grandmother’s dress with some alterations and with a bit of tailoring Max was able to wear a suit of his father’s. While nothing seemed to go right that day (it rained, there was a mix up with the flowers, the food was late) which nearly drove Max insane, as soon as he saw Ginny coming down the aisle towards him he forgot all about it and only had eyes for her. Max was 26, newly married, and about to start his medical residency with the love of his life. He couldn’t have been happier.
Residency was hard for both of them, grueling and taxing and terrible, but they supported each other as best they could. Sometimes they took it out on each other, since no relationship is perfect, but more often than not they found ways to get through it together. They both wanted kids but agreed that it didn’t make sense until after they were both finished residency and had gotten jobs. Finally finished, Max proposed moving back to his home town and Ginny agreed so Max finally moved back to Wolford when he was about 32. They got a house in Sycamore Heights and jobs at Wolford Memorial Hospital and had plans to finally start that family. It took longer than either expected, years longer, but Ginny finally got pregnant and they were both over the moon about it.
Max became a father at 36 when his daughter, Beatrice, was born. He fell in love with her immediately and assumed the next chapter of his life was starting. They didn’t have a lot of money, sure, but he knew from how he’d grown up that if there was enough love and support in a household that didn’t matter. For a while, things went well, as well as could be expected with a newborn baby in the house and Max still trying to work a lot with not a lot of sleep. But after about six months or so, Ginny got sick. She was diagnosed with cancer and for the next year and a half battled hard against it, with Max at her side, trying to both support her as best he could and look after Beatrice. It was a very difficult time for him and while Max was always reluctant to ask for help, preferring to support rather than be supported, he couldn’t manage it all and needed his family to come in and support him, which they did in spades. In spite of the treatments and the research and everything everyone was doing, the disease finally took Ginny and left Max alone with Beatrice. Heartbroken, he did the best he could to keep going and to be as good a dad as he could to his little girl who now only had him as a parent.
It’s been three years since Ginny’s death and Beatrice is a bright, hilarious little 5-year old who doesn’t remember her mother or the struggles surrounding the first couple years of her life. Max, still burdened by medical and student loan debts, still put the life insurance money he got from his wife into a trust for Beatrice so that while he will likely have to be working poor for the rest of his life, she might someday not be. Naturally quiet, Max is even more so now as a widower though he powers on and deflects or distracts when people try to inquire about him. He throws himself even more into taking care of other people, both at the hospital and in his personal life, and continues to put not quite last but well after most everyone else.

+ Supportive, helpful, kind
- Workaholic, stubborn, perfectionist

Name: Gwendolyn Dawson Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 24 Birthday: October 9th Occupation: Floor Girl & Performer , Lucky Seven Casino Species: Fae Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Dove Cameron
Bio:
Gwendolyn loved being one of the youngest Dawson’s, maybe she should have been annoyed at only getting hand-me-downs but she didn’t just get her older siblings clothes, she also got all the interests they abandoned, the books they were too old for, all their CDs. In reality being on the younger side seemed like a benefit because she was inheriting things from seven siblings. It was having all of these options that helped Gwen pretty early on discover what she enjoyed doing, and that was singing. She’d stand in front of the TV whenever a song competition came on and sing loudly for her whole family, which was not always enjoyed, and would write silly songs on an old keyboard - which at her young age were mostly about how she liked going to the beach and how kissing was gross and she’d never do it.
In middle school she signed up for the school play and that was when she realized, it wasn’t just the singing that she liked, it was the attention. When everyone clapped for her Gwen felt happy. Probably not the most healthy way to attain happiness but Gwen didn’t really care, she was going to be famous. Famous with no real connections was hard though so Gwen, the determined young woman she was, made a plan. She get any job she could, use the money for singing lessons and anything extra would be put away for a demo and to move to LA where she *knew* she would be discovered, she promised her parents she would finish school before she did anything though.
So that was her school life, getting Cs so she was passing and would graduate, working her arse off, and being in any school play or community production she could be in. At nineteen, graduated and set in her goals she was packed and ready to go until he showed up. Desmond Byrne, an icon in the music industry. Gwen may not have had his poster on her walls but she knew his name like a heart song, if anyone could make her famous it was him. But she realized something then…she had no fucking material.
How was she meant to approach someone like Desmond Byrne with songs about working at the drive in and babysitting? Experiences had been lost on her, so Gwen knew if she wanted to be truly famous, like Ariana Grande famous, she needed to actually live a little. That was her new plan, she’d get a job singing somewhere, work on her music and do whatever crazy shit she could and fortunately she had amazing siblings that either helped her live those experiences safely or…would help her when that got too dark. She would get six perfect tracks to get recorded in the city and show them to Desmond. He would make her a star.

Name: Diego Navarro Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 39 Birthday: January 17th Occupation: Owner, Lucky Seven Casino Species: Unseelie Fae Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Manny Montana
Bio:
It’s said his parents were Seelies but given his adoption he never knew if that was true. Diego lived as an Unseelie his whole life and although he found no real joy in things he didn’t go out of his way to be anything else. His family weren’t exactly out going with affection, his mother was incredibly deep in her beliefs and superstitions while his father barely kept them afloat. It often made him question why they ever took him in.
His mother’s parents happened to step in during his later teen years, members of the court they were pressured by rumors spreading of the unhealthy environment they were allowing their grandson, adopted or not, to grow up in. Loving among the grand Navarros only made him withdraw further, he did step up in his studies with his grandfather breathing on him but he had no interest in being a whatever a ‘Navarro’ entailed. He left Wolford when he was accepted into a university in the north. There the young Unseelie stumbled into the underground rings; fighting, raves, drugs. Name it and Diego found it. No surprise when he returned to Wolford the life followed him.
He worked his way into the ownership of Lucky Seven, somewhere he set up for his extra activities to go without trouble. At this time he’s focused on fighting and setting a large space below the casino for those looking to participate have somewhere safe to do it, it’s exclusive and only those he personally approves are allowed to even know about it.
This eventually came back to bite him, Diego’s grandfather finally showed up looking for him to return to the favor from when he took Diego in. Of course he’d never see it like that, so Diego’s grandfather revealed he was aware of Diego’s extracurricular and to keep quiet Diego needed to take his seat on court.
Navarros have always had a place at court and that was final. Two years passed and the youngest member has never once showed interest in his activities with the court, the only time he seems to show his face is when they give him no choice.
Diego’s focus has been his own, he despises the position his family put him in and has been planning since it’s happened on how to leave Wolford once more.
PERSONALITY:
+ perceptive, hard-working, true-hearted
- blunt, sarcastic, self-controlled

Name: Persephone “Seph” Yeva Sarkissian Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 34 Birthday: April 27th Occupation: Owner, Hollow Hill Mortuary Species: Fae, Unseelie Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Angela Sarafyan
Bio: (Triggers: Cults, mentions of abuse, arranged marriages, allusions to murder)
Persephone was born into a large religious family in Sitka, Alaska. The winters were cold and harsh but her close-knit family made it work. From a very young age her father, the leader of their church, taught his children one very important rule- do not talk about their religion to outsiders. As a child Persephone never questioned her father’s rule. But as time went on she began to wonder why they weren’t allowed to discuss their religion. And the more she learned about the churches that her friends went to the more she began to realize how strange and restrictive her religion actually was. But she had been taught not to question their religion because to do so was to damn her soul- and to disobey her father was unheard of.
By the time Persephone was seventeen she had come to realize that their church wasn’t exactly a church but a cult. And her father ruled over them with manipulation and the threat of physical pain. And with that Persephone began to question her church and so-called family as a whole. While she was the exalted child of their church’s leader she wasn’t allotted any more freedom than anyone else in the group. And soon she began to realize that if she stayed? Her life would never be her own and all choices would have to be approved by her father. Because the profit knew what was best; the profit was to be obeyed.
Shortly before graduating from high school Persephone began to plan her way out of the cult. It would take time and dedication- and a lot of manipulation on her own part. She bided her time; she got permission from her father to get a job in town and secretly squirreled away money she earned beneath a floorboard in her room; she pretended not to notice when other members of the cult either showed up wounded or disappeared entirely. She played the part of the perfect daughter her father had always wanted and it broke her down a little bit more each day.
It took three years for Persephone to save up what she thought would be almost enough money to leave- but her time was quickly running out. Because her father was determined to marry her off to a young man he considered worthy of her from their “church”. Knowing that she couldn’t outright refuse her father’s wishes and that if she was married off she would lose the freedom she had to go into town and make more money would be completely gone. And so, though she hadn’t completely reached her goal, one day in the dead of night Persephone packed up only what she would need in a suitcase, removed her money from beneath the floorboards and left her family home never to look back. So, a few weeks shy of her twenty-first birthday Persephone found her first taste of freedom.
For several years she traveled through Canada, stopping off from time to time and temporarily joining small communities on her way as she made her way across the country. Some of them were lovely; some of them were welcoming. Some of them even felt like a place she could belong but the moment that feeling began to sink in Persephone was off again, too afraid to linger too long, too worried to be found.
She eventually crossed the border from Canada into the United States, once again only staying anywhere just long enough to gather herself, to start to feel the tiniest bit at ease. She would join little communes, small insular communities of people just trying to escape their lives and then would leave once more. Staying too long always felt like too great of a risk. Instead she kept moving south, moving west, a slow and steady progression- until she reached Wolford. She finally felt far enough from her father and her church to settle into a home. But every day, even years after arriving, she worries that someone from the cult will track her down in her new home.
She bought the local funeral home a few years back from the old owner and has been running it ever since.

+ adaptable, patient, resourceful

Name: Desmond Byrne Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 481, looks 40 Birthday: August 17th Occupation: Music producer and radio host, Rock-N-Roar Species: Vampire Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Daniel Gillies
Bio: ( TW: Death, violence, blood )
Born Desmond Ó Broin in Ireland in 1540, Desmond came into the world during a period of strife. This period in history was when England was conquering much of Ireland and as a clan chieftain’s son Desmond was expected to fight. He learned how, certainly, and defended his familial territory as best he could but when he wasn’t fighting he always took more of an interest in music and culture. He composed some rhymes as a young man, for which his brothers teased him, but he didn’t mind and tended to be a quieter member of the family unless he was singing or playing an instrument. Time and battles passed until he met a woman named Caitríona, a skilled fiddle player, which is what initially drew him to her. The two were soon married and started a family. In spite of the strife surrounding them, they managed to construct a happy home and by the time Desmond was about forty he had three sons and a daughter, the most content he’d ever been. Since one of his brothers had taken over as chieftain from his father and things were a little more settled, he rarely had to fight anymore and could indulge in as much culture with his little family as he wanted to.
When Desmond was away from home one night, late into the evening, disaster struck. Upon his return, Desmond found things in absolute disarray. Someone had attacked his family and as he moved through the house, horror struck, blood everywhere, he found the bodies of his children. Half mad with grief and rage, he picked up his sword and hoped to find the person who had done this and found a creature at dear Caitríona’s throat. He charged what he assumed was a demon and the rest is mostly a blur. Perhaps out of some perverse desire to see him suffer further, the creature didn’t kill Desmond but instead transformed him into what it was. He awoke with a horrible thirst amidst the ruin of his home and something in him broke for a while. Desmond ripped through his clan’s territory, feeding to drown out his grief and slake this terrible thirst that had been woken in him and his life went on like that for a handful of decades. He had to learn everything about being a vampire on his own and he struggled with that for a time. After about fifty years, around the year 1630, Desmond came back to himself a bit and wondered what his family would have thought of him so tried to turn things around.
Desmond worked to control his blood lust over the centuries as he traveled but he was still bitter over the life that was taken from him. Whatever belief he’d had in God had died with his family and now he wandered amidst the hopeless and the destitute, offering them immortality. If God had forsaken him (or indeed, if He didn’t even exist) then Desmond was going to play god. Desmond vowed to be different from his maker, however, so he always offered immortality as a choice and never turned someone who didn’t want it. Perhaps to replace the children he’d lost or simply, again, to be better than his sire, Desmond also spent time with each of his fledglings and taught them what he’d learned of being a vampire and how to avoid becoming either apathetic or psychotic, which seemed to be the two traps vampires often fell into. While his fledglings always eventually went their own ways, Desmond made an effort to keep in touch and is incredibly protective of them. He’s done his best to make it clear that they can always come to him for anything and that if anyone hurts or attacks his fledglings and he hears of it, they’ll have to deal with him.
He eventually broke out of this phase and returned to music, which had always truly been his passion, and started to move in circles where he could meet promising musicians. Desmond started to become somewhat obsessed with preserving musical talent and offered some of the best musicians throughout history the chance to become vampires. Some took him up on it, some refused, and Desmond never forced the issue if they were truly against it but he at times went to great lengths to convince them about the benefits of it. One such person, at least in Desmond’s mind, was a gifted violinist by the name of Dora Lind who he had heard play in Paris in the late 1800s and began following her career. They never met officially until he heard she’d been sent to the seaside to treat her consumption and he followed her there, determined to save her life and preserve her musical talent. She accepted his offer and they spent the next fifty years together, Desmond teaching her how to be a vampire, but also interested in siring other fledglings as he had done for centuries now. Dora’s jealousy about this eventually drove them apart though they remained close and in touch.
Having learned how to play and collected dozens of instruments over the course of his long life, in the mid-20th century Desmond moved to America and got into producing music. He was around for the biggest musical trends of the time and even turned some very famous musicians who the rest of the world thought were dead. While he set up music studios in various areas of the United States he always inevitably had to move every decade or so to avoid suspicion as to why he wasn’t aging. Once such move happened about five years ago, when he purchased a large home in Wolford, Tennessee and converted half of it into a music studio. He also began hosting an early evening radio show at Rock-N-Roar radio station where he discussed current music trends and played either classic favorites or new music he found interesting. Having been involved in various vampire councils in whatever cities he’d found himself since Desmond had an enduring interest in seeing vampires as a species survive, he also became a council member, though he certainly does not always agree with everything Mordia says and does.
Only a year after his arrival in Wolford, vampires came out of the proverbial closet. This actually made Desmond’s life easier since he no longer had to be cagey about why he preferred to record at night or why, if he was recording during the day, all the windows had to be covered with blackout blinds. He seemed to have accidentally chosen wisely since Wolford as a town decided to accept its supernatural inhabitants and attempt to carry on as they had before only now aware of at least the vampires and werewolves among them. Desmond’s been watching this process with mild curiosity, continuing to do his work and seek out new musical talent as he has for centuries. At least with people being aware of the supernatural he won’t have to leave Wolford any time soon.

+ Calm, protective, wise

Name: Antonio “Toni” Velasquez Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 41 Birthday: January 24th Occupation: Owner/Firearms instructor , OK Corral Gun Club Species: Werewolf, lone wolf Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Oscar Isaac
Bio: (TW: military service, mentions of war time, allusions to PTSD)
Antonio Velasquez was born on January 24th, 1980 to a Cuban mother and a Guatemalan-American father in Miami, Florida. His father was a military man, a Vietnam War veteran, and had rather specific expectations for his son, the middle child of three and the only boy. Antonio, or Toni as he soon came to be known, was mostly fine with these and strove to make his father, and his whole family, proud. The household, and extended family of the pack, was strict but loving and Toni tried to make people laugh when he could, goofed around on the guitar his mother gave him when he was twelve, and tried to be both supportive and protective of his sisters with varying degrees of success. Coming from a long line of born werewolves, Toni’s paternal abuelo was the Alpha of their relatively large urban pack and Toni spent significant amounts of time with the older man during his teen years when he was starting to shift. He always intended to enlist in the military and follow in his father’s footsteps so when he turned 18 he did just that, joining the Marine Corps.
Toni had already been in the marines for three years when 9/11 happened. He was shipped out to Afghanistan relatively quickly and would end up spending a large majority of the rest of his military career doing tours both there and in Iraq. It was chaotic and harrowing but Toni was good under pressure and calm when it counted. Though not an officer, he became someone other marines could look to in difficult situations, quick on his feet and able to organize and lead when it counted. He already had a couple of tours under his belt and had been promoted to the rank of Sergeant by the time he met Grayson Bolton. It was Grayson’s first tour and as one of the new members of his squadron, Toni took it upon himself to take the young man under his wing. They grew close quickly, not only because of the dangerous situations they survived together but also because Toni was naturally friendly and had a knack for being able to lighten the mood. They served together for years and Toni understood when Grayson left service, able to see the toll those years had taken on the younger man even if he couldn’t see the same in himself. It was certainly there, though. Toni was overly restless and short tempered when not actively serving tours, not realising this was a symptom of the trauma he’d experienced. It was almost like an addiction, having to go back into life threatening situations because that was the only thing that felt normal to him. His werewolf abilities were a definite asset since they made him a better marine and it didn’t seem too difficult to have to hide them from everyone else though at times it was trickier than others.
By the time he’d finished his twenty years of service, it all started to catch up with Toni and take more of a mental strain than he could accurately take. While he excelled at being a soldier, other parts of himself seemed to be shutting down. At 38, he retired from the marines with a full pension just as vampires and werewolves revealed themselves to the world. Already reeling from his military trauma, it was even more of a mind fuck to know that he didn’t have to hide what he was anymore. The combination of the two things nearly lead to a breakdown where he didn’t sleep for long periods of time and he ended up having to seek professional help. Toni took a couple of years to get his head right and get used to the fact that he could be openly proud about the fact that he was a werewolf. That came with its own challenges since not everyone was accepting of that and there were a lot of places that were closing their doors to the supernatural. Having kept in touch with Grayson over the years, Toni knew he was from a place called Wolford and had heard that that town was willing to try business as usual with both humans and supernatural beings living side by side. That sounded like a place where Toni needed to be so he moved there recently, not only to check in with his old military buddy, but also to see if it was the kind of place where he could settle down and figure out what he was outside of being a soldier. To that end, he bought the OK Corral Gun Club, figuring he can train others in firearm safety and a house in Sycamore Heights that he intends to spruce up and make real nice.
PERSONALITY:
+ Friendly, loyal, generous
- Short-tempered, resentful, stubborn

Name: Diana Jones Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 38 Birthday: May 17th Occupation: Mortician and Grief Counselor at Hollow Hill Mortuary Species: Human Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Anne Hathaway
Bio: (tw: near death experience, prejudice)
Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt. For the Jones family, they could not have poised their daughter for greater success in their beliefs than in bestowing such a name to her. Had thing turned out the way they’d have wanted, Diana might have become a fearsome hunter of all sorts of creatures, supernatural or otherwise. However, Diana quickly fell in line with Ferdinand the Bull more than any sort of fearsome hunter. Being the eldest, much was expected of Diana and she did her best to follow her family’s expectations to the letter. She was an exceptional student, a beloved volunteer, and a hard-working employee at her town’s florist.
Despite her passive nature, Diana was not immune to the prejudice of her parents. Instead of it manifesting in her becoming a hunter, it grew into an almost irrational fear, one that threatened to keep her from attending college after high school. She’d grown so safe and complacent in her little hometown life that the thought of her going out into the big world full of literal monsters was downright traumatic for her. However, her parents wouldn’t hear of her not going off, and soon enough she found herself kissing her brothers goodbye and heading off to college.
Being away from home on a full ride changed Diana greatly, in more ways than one. The most notable of these changes was that she had her first real encounter with a supernatural creature. Being the eternal momma bear she was, she’d agreed to go as her friend’s plus one to a bonfire and act as a DD, as well as wingwoman. Her friend had stumbled off into the woods with their paramour and after a while, Diana had begun to get extremely nervous. Swallowing her fears, she ventured into the woods in an attempt to find her friend. Following what her naïve brain registered as potentially noises of carnal pleasure, she instead found herself within pouncing distance of about three coyotes that were currently gorging themselves on a deer. Upon her attempt to backtrack, Diana somehow managed to get their attention, and all three animals turned on her on a dime. She swears that her life flashed before her eyes in that moment and she reckoned for sure she was a goner. But their yips and snarls were deafened by something far larger…and deadlier.
Diana still isn’t clear what she saw that night. She can only clearly recall two things: the sound of the coyotes being ripped to shreds and the eyes that stared back at her from the lumbering figure of her savior. Those eyes…That damned, haunting gaze. Even nearly twenty years later, Diana still wakes up in a sweat dreaming about the savage eyes of her savior. While she wasn’t certain about who saved her, she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was some sort of supernatural being. That right then and there changed her entire outlook on much of her life.
Not only did her view on the supernatural change, but her little brush with death also triggered something in Diana, a hyperfixation of sorts. One thing lead to another and she graduated with her associate’s degree in mortuary science and found herself a job as a mortician in a town far away from her family. She started seeing a therapist, which had a profound effect on her. This would soon blossom into her receiving her Master’s in Counseling to also work as a grief counselor for her little funeral home. She puddled along for a little while in this position until she got the call from her folks. Luka had been bitten…by a werewolf.
Diana’s perspective was once again thrown into whack. While she’d been saved by some creature, could they really be so bad as to turn her brother? Was it with his consent or was he truly the victim his parents were screeching about on the other end of the line? Regardless, she knew she had to be there for her baby brother. The idea that her brother could be one of them was something that Diana was entirely unsure if she was able to stomach, but she’d be damned if she wasn’t going to try. Furthermore, knowing that their brother Auggie (Augustus) would be there too made her realize more than ever that she had the chance to make things right for all three of them. How she was going to do that, though, was yet to be seen.

+ Fun-loving, Compassionate, Good-Humored

Name: Paloma “Lomi” Desjardins Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 42, appears 27 Birthday: January 17th Occupation: Speakeasy Owner, The Black Rabbit Species: Vampire, Council Member Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Camila Mendes
Bio: (TW: death, crime)
Paloma Desjardins had always been described as intelligent; even as a young child. It was hard not to notice, especially when she began to excel in things she shouldn’t. Everyone in her small hometown had known her for monthly newspaper articles that detailed the sheer shock when she began to win competitions aimed at older childern, surpassing children in her year and showing a maturity that was unseen and unheard of.
Paloma was born to Marie and Juan Desjardins in the small town of Great Malvern, just a thirty minute drive from Worcestershire;her parents had met on travels in Russia fourteen years prior. Her father worked as an intelligence officer for a small company known as Beautech. While her mother, worked for the United Nations. Her mother, an American, had always loved that her husband Juan, was British. The connection had been instant and fourteen years later they were married, living in Juan’s home town and welcoming their baby girl into the world.
From the moment she was born, Marie knew that their child would be special, she’d already planned on making sure that they gave Paloma everything they could do she’d excel in everything. Juan knew he’d always be the laid back parent compared to his loving wife, he liked the idea of doing fun things with his daughter like taking her out for ice cream and spoiling her. As soon as Paloma was three years old, Marie had her in piano lessons teaching her every possible thing she could, by the time she was five she was in Russian, Korean and French lessons. Most people thought Marie to be mad but she knew what she was doing — preparing her daughter way before the other kids had even began to think for themselves.
She wanted her to have every chance to be anything she wanted.
It was no doubt that Juan was Paloma’s down time where he’d sneak her away early from lessons, treat her to things her mother said she couldn’t have. But even though Juan was the one most children would classify as their favourite, Paloma always found herself wanting her mother when it came down to things.
Paloma for a six year old child was adult-like in her choices, decisions, and thinking. She liked to think that she was preparing for the world that most of her friends were shielded from, the fact that things were being handed to them instead of them doing things that could help their career. It was then that Paloma became goal-orientated, assertive and extremely intelligent.
However, her intelligence didn’t stop with languages and music, as she grew so did her capability to learn. Books became Paloma’s best friends, sports became her hobby, and knowledge became her everything. If Paloma wasn’t reading, at the gym, or learning something new then she was either sick or tired.
As soon as high school rolled around, things slowly began to change. Everything that Paloma had been learning seemed to become too much, focusing on certain things and tuning others out became a problem. She couldn’t seem to concentrate on one thing without asking a billion questions around something simple, she quickly brought up the problem to her mother; concerned, her mother took her to see a doctor.
After many tests, physical and psychological, it came back that she suffered with two things: Eidetic memory and Low Latent inhibition.
Low Latent Inhibition, a psychological condition in which one sees the world as pieces, rather than mere objects. This allows Paloma to create plans and make thorough decisions rapidly but also when seeing something, she’d notice all the things that go with it instead of just a stand-still object. With her having a high IQ, it aided towards her ability; and after getting it under control, was deemed that the world would likely refer to her as a technical “genius.”
After her parents found out about this they decided that maybe a change of scenery would do the family good, and to their luck Juan was offered a job in the states; where he was originally from. Taking the opportunity straight away, with Paloma just being eligible for High School they knew it was the right thing to do- so they moved. High school became her sole priority after this always wanting to use her mind to learn more, posses more information, and be able to create things that others thought impossible. Still completely in love with music and languages, Paloma began to fall more and more into music; taking as many chances as she could to get local gigs when she wasn’t studying.
Her parents, however, were not the most supportive of that line of work. They’d often end in arguments around the dinner table; they believed she was more suited to a job in languages, as it was guaranteed money. This only drove them further apart, slowly causing a rift.
For the first time in her life, Paloma was not close with either parents.
Senior year came around quickly and when that happened everything in Paloma’s life fell apart. While out with a few of her friends, to which she’d decided to sneak out to attend a local gig at the firefly, she received a phone call stating that she needed to come down to the local hospital. Upon arrival it was announced that both her parents had been in a car collision and both passed away. In that moment everything in her life died.
After her parent’s untimely death, Paloma dropped out of school in order to look after herself, but when she met Harrison Kemp everything once again changed. Harrison, a wanted criminal known for Art theft, bond forgery, racketeering, money laundering, Identity theft and a list that only continued when you got to know him, took a poor beautiful girl under his arm. Paloma became his protégé with her quick silver like mind and intellect she was a perfect candidate to train and use in his game. And Paloma succeeded as she relished in the life of different names, hotels, scams and living the high life. Now she’d parted ways with Harrison, a man who popped up from time to time, she had to look for something, a protection, until he came back
That was when she found her way into that place; a speakeasy playing her favorite kind of music; jazz — and even better that it was an open stage night. Her life had changed since she’d last graced the stage of a place like this. Felt that old feeling trickle through her being. It made her miss her parents, even if she knew they’d roll over in their graves at the turn her life had taken and what she’d become.
But when she stepped onto that stage and opened her mouth; the room silenced. She’d never felt such pure contentment and everyone in the room was experiencing it with her. Fingers moved over the keys of the piano as she belted a classic; Billie Holiday’s rendition of ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ and when the house band began to play along with her, the room erupted.
What she hadn’t expected was to meet Desmond Byrne that night, and that was the night her entire world changed forever.
She’d been a lost and lonely soul; it hadn’t been hard to see if people had bothered to look close enough, really look. She often felt that her life as con artist allowed her to move like a ghost, and slowly but surely she’d allowed it to become part of her personality. Like it’d stolen the light from within her, but she wasn’t sure if it’d even been there in the first place; only when she’d played music and allowed that bit of happiness to come home. She’d often wondered if Desmond had changed her for that reason; to try and give her something to live for, or if it really was just for her talent. After her turning, Paloma had spent time with Desmond to hone herself; she didn’t want to be a feral beast like the stories she’d heard, and Desmond had seemed anything but that. She wasn’t sure why she’d agreed to become a vampire; she’d often find herself awake wondering this. She was a classic over-thinker, and it was something she’d never been able to turn off.
Now in Wolford, Paloma had taken residence here. After purchasing a run down building with an underground area, she’d decided to create ‘The Black Rabbit’ - A jazz speakeasy with a house band every night of the week. It was the first time in years, even since turning, that she’d found that thrill again. She was happy, she was alive.
And maybe she wasn’t so lost anymore. But could all that change in the drop of a hat?
Paloma Desjardins, also nicknamed Lomi, was sophisticated, charming, abrupt and seductive, with a wide range of knowledge from music, art, foreign languages, and culture. All of which was self-taught, a beautiful face occupied the intelligent mind. Paloma was very good at talking her way in and out of things, her beauty something she used often to get her the things she wanted.
Including bank cards and the best of the best in luxuries. Paloma was first and foremost a musician, stating that it ran through her very being; but deep to her core, she was a scam artist. She was good at covering her tracks, very much into the high life, her refined tastes fit more to the likes of fine bars, underground casinos and clubs where she could find her next target. Paloma isn’t trustworthy but she’ll make you trust you with a bat of her eye lashes and her perfect smile.

Name: Caspian Taliesin Dragoumis Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 24 Birthday: September 23rd Occupation: Potioneer/Apothecary Species: Warlock, Order of Nyx Neighborhood: Outskirts of town Face Claim: Froy Gutierrez
Bio: (TW: trauma, death)
Cas was brilliant, in the way that small children were after never speaking a word then suddenly spewing a fully formed sentence to politely ask their parents for breakfast, brain like a sponge, nothing and no one could get between him and the pursuit of knowledge. He soaked up everything his parents taught him about the Dragoumis name and the importance of legacy. The second youngest of four with health that wasn’t the best, content to be left in a corner with a book while he darted looks around the room.
The oldest, his brother, was the golden child and said to one day play a pivotal part in an old prophecy of the elders of the Order of Nyx. His sister had her own life and they respected their distance as Cas stole select tomes from the family library and she escaped out of the nearest window. There was nothing the boy enjoyed more than experimenting with a cauldron and a pestle and mortar, content with ink smudged fingers and reading by candlelight.
Caspian’s magic whilst undeniable had always been equally unpredictable, almost tempestuous in nature. The decision to do something about Cas’ little problem was made once he turned fourteen, the instability was a danger to the Coven no matter how hard he worked or how much he studied. A consultant was brought on, a friend of Nyx who suggested a binding ritual that would stabilize the excessive volatile power, allowing him to play his part with the rest of the witches and warlocks. Unbeknownst to him the secret illegitimate circumstances of his birth would change everything.
The binding failed, very nearly killing him, the collective vortex of destructive magic struck out at all present and left Cas in a coma for two weeks. Runic chains are scored into his left wrist as a testament to the failed ritual; wounds that will never fully heal through mundane nor magical means, each time he uses any magic the binding causes him severe pain whilst taking a physical toll depending on the size of the spell.
The following summer spelt more tragedy for the family. It happened on their mom’s birthday in June, they don’t think his eldest brother ever felt the sting but he died in minutes. No grand destiny, just a bee and bad luck. Two black marks in as many years for the Dragoumis’ and home never quite felt the same again.
Once he became an adult the real world beckoned with sun-warmed hands, the narrow world view he’d been forcibly sheltered by shattered in all directions, suddenly he was exposed to scores of new people rather than the handful his family selected. Sick to the teeth of being a damaged chess piece in a murderous game he’d never asked to play, at a snail’s pace he began pulling free millimetre by millimetre. Slowly enough his family hardly noticed. Adagio.
Though Ian is still technically part of the Coven to save face, he is almost never called upon due to the unfortunate nature of his condition. He likes it that way.
On the outskirts of town by an old A-Frame cabin amongst the trees, a garden spills over almost everything in sight, huge barrels of climbers burst forth to drape down from the deck and create a curtain below where vegetables, herbs, flowers and all kinds of flora extend in all directions. This is where you’ll find Cas, if you know who to ask you can find all manner of ingredients, poultices, powders, embrocations and tinctures.

+ Attentive, resourceful, inquisitive

Name: Seth Hollis Jansen Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 40 Birthday: May 5th Occupation: Professional Photographer Species: Human Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Jesse Spencer
Bio: (TW: car accident, death)
Seth Hollis Jansen was born and raised in Wolford, Tennessee; the son of a pig farmer and a Sunday school teacher.  He and his older brother grew up working the fourth generation family swine farm; hauling feed buckets and shoveling hog pens from the time they were old enough to walk. There was a clear expectation that the two of them would follow in their father’s footsteps–marry good Christian girls, build homes on the property, and raise the next generation of hard working farmers just like they had been brought up–barely scraping by on the simple man’s American Dream.  While his brother seemed content enough to do just that, Seth struggled to reconcile such a future for himself.  The life of a small-time pig farmer isn’t a glorious one; full of grueling labor, early mornings, long days, longer nights, and the kinds of things most people prefer not to think about as they shove a strip of bacon into their mouth.  Seth wanted more.  With talent, wit, a good head on his shoulders, and the determination to make something better for himself than what he’d been born into, he seemed poised to find it.
From the very first time someone handed him a camera, he’d fallen in love with photography.  Seth learned early on that he had an eye for composition, and a passion for capturing the beauty of Wolford’s small town charm in timeless images.  It began as a hobby; hours spent ducking around the town snapping photos left and right, or getting lost in the untamed wilderness on the outskirts.  Searching for the perfect shot offered a sense of escape, if only for a little while, from what awaited him back home on the family farm.  A particularly supportive teacher spotted the young man’s burgeoning talent, and before long Seth Jansen’s work made its way into the hands of a local magazine editor…and eventually onto the pages of several nationwide publications.  Only then did it occur to the farm boy from Wolford that his camera might be his ticket out of the pigpen.
The young self-taught photographer started his own business straight out of High School, specializing in lifestyle portrait photography and local landscapes.  His success eventually allowed him to open a small studio in downtown Wolford, though most of his work is shot with attention to the various on-location backdrops the town has to offer.  For years now Seth has captured priceless memories for the residents of Wolford; weddings, celebrations, families, newborns, first birthdays, and so much more.  His photographs adorn the walls of many a living room across the neighborhoods in town, and some of his more iconic images of Wolford can even be found hanging in the town hall.
While Seth had found professional success, however, his personal life has not taken such a charmed path.  He married his High School sweetheart, Grace, shortly after they graduated, and the two of them settled in town.  They eventually welcomed two children; Ezra, and then three years later, Sophie.  Seth was a devoted family man, and his two young children were his whole world.  Ten years ago, both were fast asleep in their car-seats as he drove his family down one of Wolford’s winding country roads late one evening.  They’d spent the day at the Jansen family farm, and were heading home.  The full moon was bright overhead, eerily illuminating the night sky, and yet to this day Seth swears he never saw the thing that jumped out of the trees in front of his vehicle.  The SUV rolled halfway down the mountainside.  Grace and Sophie died instantly, while Ezra lived for a few days on life support before his small body succumbed to his injuries.  Seth walked away with only a concussion, a few broken bones; and a gaping hole in his heart that has oozed and festered with spite for every day since.  The EMTs said it was a miracle, but after burying his whole family, that outlook was hardly enough to make a difference to him.  Only with the support of his family has he managed to navigate a few well-earned mental breakdowns and a mountain of medical bills.  Still, every day is an uphill battle and at times he’s found himself sinking into depression; often turning to alcohol as a balm and otherwise engaging in reckless behavior.  With his focus on his work and a camera in hand, Seth is struggling to rebuild some of the life he’d had before the accident.
Seth was as shocked as any other human when the whole world was shook with the revelation of the supernatural’s existence.  At least, until he began to look a little deeper into what he’d always taken for granted about his hometown.  Mysterious deaths, unexplained memory loss, strange animal sightings, even the livestock on his family’s farm that had a way of going missing on a full moon; so many things began to make sense, raising as many questions as answered.  Wolford, as it turns out, has long been something of a haven for non-humans.  A year ago the photographer received an invitation to participate in the Wolford Historical Society’s efforts to catalogue vintage photographs of local vampires, with the aim of creating an exhibition to showcase these historical photos alongside current portraits.  Seth has met several vampires around town since the onset of the project, researched their histories in Wolford and beyond, and taken their photographs.

Bio:
The eldest and first born son of Vasileios’ line of Dragoumis, Colman was treated very much like the heir and prince his father considered him to be. He grew to see himself, as well as his younger sister, as superior. After all, who could live up to a Dragoumis?
At fourteen, his parents separated. Col considered who he’d live with, and ultimately chose to stay with his father. He could tell, even at a young age, that he had some of the same characteristics as his father, and those characteristics would hamper his sister’s ability to have a normal life, away from their father and away from him.
Col would take trips to visit his mother and sister in Los Angeles when he could, missing that half of his family. But as he grew older, he recognised that it had been right to separate himself. Rory was having as normal of a life as a witch could. And he… well, he grew to live up to the expectations of the Dragoumis name, becoming an accomplished warlock, using dark magic to his own benefit.
In his late twenties, Col bought a collection of abandoned cabins just outside the Whispering Pines. He remodeled them, turning them into luxury cabins for tourists, or even locals just looking for a little getaway.

Name: Aurora “Rory” Dragoumis Gender pronouns: she/they Age: 34 Birthday: February 22nd Occupation: Songwriter & aspiring Music Producer Species: Witch, covenless Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Phoebe Tonkin
Bio:
Rory was the second and last child to be born carrying the Dragoumis last name in her branch of her family. Granted, in terms of Wolford, said last name was not exactly unknown, and everyone made sure she and her siblings (as well as cousins) knew how important it was to be a Dragoumis. It gave Rory some confidence growing up, which, as a child with their head in the clouds, they definitely needed.
Things weren’t always bright and shiny on her side of the family, and when she was fourteen and about to start her first year of high school, her parents had a finally decided to put an end to their marriage, thus beginning a nasty divorce process that resulted in her being taken as far away from Wolford as possible and settling down in Los Angeles alongside her mother, while her older brother remained with her father. Despite having had a saying on who she would like to be with, Rory didn’t think she wanted for things to have ended that badly.
At least, she was able to keep her last name, but unlike her childhood home, no one knew who the Dragoumis were in LA, and so, she also lost her privileges as well as her friends, her family, her coven and the access she had to studying magic along with them. Col visited whenever he could, so that eased her mind in terms of losing him, too.
The years were a little rough on her, but Rory was able to rediscover herself as her own person. New school, new friends, new everything. They became lonely, sheltering themselves in the castle they had began to built with the words they were putting on paper. Magic, Rory learned, could also happen as far away from home, just with the bare touch of their pen on an empty page; and magic and music also walked hand in hand.
She started investing in that side of herself, diving deep into the music industry by pretending to know producers, hanging out with rising stars at parties she’d successfully crashed along with a friend, all in the name of her own truth. She wasn’t as charismatic as these pop stars were on stage, but she could write songs that would get them awards if they let her. And for quite some time, they did.
But, after her 30th birthday life started getting dull for Rory. The people were too fake, the parties were too loud, the artists were too annoying… and she couldn’t get the inspiration she once had for Grammy Award winning songs anymore. That, mixed with an old calling coming from Wolford, brought her back to the small town one year ago, in hopes that coming home an getting in touch with her old self, she will be able to rekindle that flame of inspiration that has been burning low for the last few years.

Name: Eloise Dougherty Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 31 Birthday: August 31st Occupation: Casual staff, Twilight Apocathecary Species: Witch Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Elizabeth Olsen
Bio: (TW: parental neglect, mental health struggles)
Eloise didn’t have an idealistic childhood, with her father in and out of the pictures, a mother who wasn’t super interested in raising her. For a while, she found solace in school, where she made friends, had some stability, pretended like she had a semi-normal life.
However, that fell apart when she entered her late teens, when troubling symptoms began arising. She couldn’t hold onto her relationships any more, her behaviours became more dramatic, impulsive and even self-destructive. Feelings of worthlessness and anger that she’d always had just beneath the surface weren’t as easily pushed down any more, bubbling to the surface in ways she couldn’t control. Despite a recommendation from the school psychologist to seek the help of a psychiatrist for a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, Elle wasn’t in the position to do so, still a minor with a mother who didn’t approve so such things, nor wanted to waste money on them.
Barely graduating, Elle was all too happy to leave home, taking jobs where she could get them, though she rarely lasted anywhere for long. She got by selling her magic where she could, making questionable things for whoever requested them, having little regard for how they were used. She got hooked on being a feeder for vampires, taking a fix wherever she could get it, and often took things too far, ending up in hospital on several occasions.
It was someone from her high school who finally found Elle, finally recognised what was going on with her, and made her seek help. Medications helped a bit, and she was able to mellow herself out a bit, find a job and actually keep it. It was during this time that she met Salim, and he was nice. He was stable. It was foreign to her, a feeling she hadn’t felt since she was in high school.
They dated on and off for several years, though it wasn’t all smooth sailing, Eloise’s mental health always a struggle for her. There was a relapse here and there, but for the most part, Elle wanted to get better, wanted to be better.
The pregnancy wasn’t expected, and honestly, Elle wasn’t sure she was even going to tell Salim about it, tempted to terminate without ever mentioning it to him. But she couldn’t do that. And she wouldn’t have kept it, except for the fact that she knew he would be a great father. Pregnancy wasn’t easy, and the extra hormones made things even harder, but Elle pushed through, for the innocent child’s sake.
On the day of the birth, Salim wasn’t there. It all happened so fast, but it traumatised Elle in a way she couldn’t put into words. As soon as the baby was taken to the nursery, she ran, leaving nothing but her admission bracelet in the bed.
And then she relapsed. Relapsed hard.
The next year was a blur, but there was underground feeding clubs, some close call hospital visits, and a bunch of stuff that Elle would rather not remember. She went back to selling magic, got in with some bad people, but she thought they’d take care of her. That, of course, wasn’t the case.
It was a mandatory psych hold that finally got her back on her meds, got her stable again for the most part. She started group therapy, which helped, and she talked about her daughter for the first time. A daughter she hadn’t seen since the day she was born. Even now, Elle wasn’t sure she wanted to be a mother, or would be any good at it. But eventually, Elle decided she wanted to see Sal, wanted to see their daughter.
So she tracked them to Wolford. And saw her daughter for the first time, playing with her father in the park. She was so big. How long had Elle been lost to herself?
She still hasn’t had the courage to face either of them, but it’s only a matter of time.

Name: Kang Taeyeon Gender pronouns: cis woman, she/her Age: 28 Birthday: June 12th Occupation: Bartender, Red Moon Species: Werewolf, packless Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Bae Suzy
Bio: (TW: death, manipulation, psychological abuse)
Taeyeon was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea to working-class parents, although she doesn’t have many recollections of them. After losing them in a car accident back when she was only six years old, Taeyeon was sent to live in an orphanage, which is where most of her memories come from… both good and bad.
She didn’t have much growing up and a lot of what she did have, came from this patron’s donations to the institution. Min Ko Ryeong was perceived as an extremely private man, who’s son was almost of the same age as hers and happened to take a liking to Taeyeon. She didn’t mind it though, and actually welcomed the attention that was given her. In a way, it felt like having a family again… although they never gave any signs of wanting to adopt her, they’d always take her to their house in the mountains every full moon.
Once she hit puberty, Taeyeon finally found out why the patron and his son Woo Young cared so much about her: they were both werewolves like her.
After the discovery, the Mins took her under their wing. She received the best education, she was taught how to control her wolf, how to behave near the full moon, how to be part of a pack and still be part of a society that wanted nothing to do with her kind (in every way). Growing up, she also got close to the patron’s son, who’s attention towards her grew more into feelings as they moved through adolescence into adulthood. Even though she didn’t quite know how to reciprocate them, Taeyeon accepted those feelings because it was nice to feel cared for. To be wanted.
It wasn’t until she met Seung Jin a few years down the road, that she actually began feeling something for someone. Things were nice with him… easy, even. Dare she say, she was happy.
But her past didn’t leave her alone, and Woo Young kept finding ways to reel her back in whenever Taeyeon tried breaking things off with him. Woo Young would often make her feel like he was the one responsible for taking her out of the orphanage and so she owed his family her loyalty, he would often tell her that Jin would never accept her, that he would never understand her, and by doing so, it clouded her mind and her judgement, keeping her both by his side and Jin’s.
When the marriage proposal was made by Jin, Taeyeon was determined to cut ties with Woo Young for once and for all. She wanted to be able to reciprocate Jin’s feelings fully, but the rich man had other plans in mind. Unable to take his loss in all of this, he told Jin about Taeyeon’s secret relationship to him and ruined the woman’s chances of being happy with a loud fight. Looking back, Taeyeon didn’t realize then that Jin’s anger was towards her infidelity, but Woo Young made it look like it was because she was a werewolf.
Angry and heartbroken for what had happened, Taeyeon refused to take Woo Young’s side after the break up, which only ended up infuriating him even further and, the rich man driven mad by his jealousy and hurt pride, took as far as causing an accident to put an end to Jin’s life and prevent Taeyeon from ever going back to him. By some sort of miracle, Jin was able to survive.
Taeyeon spent the following year sorting things out to leave South Korea quietly and to leave her life behind. She did everything she could to leave no trace behind and fled to the US, hoping to find herself a new life away from the claws these rich people had on her. She ended up going to Wolford, a place she’d heard welcomed supernaturals, and to her, it felt like a good place to start a new life. Little did she know that her ex had also chosen said town to settle down.
PERSONALITY:

Name: Andrea Cromwell Gender pronouns: she/her & they/them Age: 170, appears 30 Birthday: February 14th Occupation: Security, Stoker Species: Vampire Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Rose Leslie
Bio: (TW death)
Andrea was born into a Seelie Fae family, the beloved younger daughter. She had an older brother, and the pair got on really well, always teasing and joking with each other. It was a pretty normal Fae childhood, Andrea spending her time between the supernatural world and the human world. Her parents were very accepting, and knew that the supernatural and human worlds couldn’t stay separated forever, and wanted their children to be ready for whatever came their way.
No one could have expected, however, that Andrea would be turned. Barely past her thirtieth birthday and while Andrea knew she wasn’t drunk, she has no memory of that night. She just remembers stumbling home, covered in dirt, a desperate hunger in her stomach.
Her family helped her as best they could at first, but she knew she didn’t belong with them any more, and knew that eventually she would outlive them. And she didn’t think she could bare to watch that. So she had to find her own way.
The redhead trailed a few other vampires at first, learning the ropes of her new life, learning how to feed safely. And eventually, just like her parents predicted, the supernatural world was exposed, vampires dominating every headline.
Andrea had never had any prejudices against other species, but now she had a new understanding, a new perspective. And with the human and supernatural worlds colliding, that led her into activism. It wasn’t exactly a safe job, making herself a target from human vigilantes and hunters alike, but Andrea wasn’t one to just sit back and do nothing.
During this time, Andrea met Tatiana, and the two hit it off immediately. It wasn’t long before they were dating, which surprised some people. But as the saying goes, opposites attract, and Andrea enjoyed every minute with Tatiana, whether they were putting their heads together on the political front, or debating one topic or another.
But then the truth came out about Tatiana’s parents, and she was practically outed from the community. Andrea stuck by the other woman at first, but the threats just kept rolling in, and eventually the pair parted ways, Tatiana going home to confront her parents.
Andrea stayed in the UK, the only home she’d ever known, but people didn’t seem to forget her association with the other woman, accused of leading the undercover hunter to more vampires. A target for hunters and ostracized from the vampire community, Andrea had to go underground, something that she hated. Eventually, Tatiana reached out to her again, telling her the Wolford was a safe place, and so Andrea left everything behind to relocate there.
She took a job working security at Stoker, somewhere she felt safe, being among vampires once again, having easy access to blood donors, and doing her part to keep other vampires safe. It wasn’t the world changing career she’d hoped for, but she was making a small difference, and that was enough for now.

Name: Genesis Gannon Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 30 Birthday: May 30th Occupation: child care and education/ baker. Species: Werewolf (Gannon family pack) Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Emily Ellen Rudd
Bio:
Born on one of the craziest days of her parents life, Genesis entered this world on May 30th to the love of her parents. When she first opened her eyes, they knew she was special.
Her parents weren’t the richest but they were seemingly well off. As their pack dealt with a few things: Logging, Horses and hotels. They loved what they did, being the only daughter amongst two brothers ( Virgil & Mack ). It was hard, especially when people feared what they didn’t know.
At the age of sixteen, was when she first experienced her first shift. When it happened the entire pack gasped at the color of her fur, it was a mix between a light blond and black color. To them it was a myth and here she was with the fur no one has ever seen before.
She  was more outgoing than her brothers, but that was just the kind of person she was. Always helping out at her parents businesses, especially at the ranch when needed. A few years in, they sold the business to a neighboring pack. So they could solely focus on their logging and hotel business.
Being a wolf helped her in her athletic career in high school, she loved sports, softball, volleyball and track. Those were her top three, during her sophomore year, she met a neighboring pack male and they hit it off but nothing ever came of it because they had to move. She graduated top of her class, then went on to college.
Fast forward to her college years, she met and fell in love with someone but it ended amicably. Hearing about a town that welcomed supernatural, that’s where she went once she finished her degree in child care and education. Moving to Wolford, Tennessee in hopes of finding and or owning her own business that is near and dear to her heart.

Name: Clinton “Clintt” Barron Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 34 Birthday: June 5th Occupation: Owner of the Silver Creek Mines Species: Warlock, Coven Of the Raven Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Chris Wood
Bio: (TW: Death)
When you’re born with the last name Barron there are good and bad things people would expect from you. The Barron’s are a family of wealth, owners of the Silver Creek mines, who lived around Wolford for decades. Originally from Scotland, Nicola Barron and his wife were quite known in the area, as were their three kids, Diana, Clinton and Lorcan. They were all different people, but had huge respect for their father, the supreme warlock from the Barron coven.
Diana and Lorcan were both very connected to their father, while Clintt was closer to their mother, he was the only Barron actually born in Wolford and lived there since he was a kid, always watching his mom. She was a good woman, with a good heart from a good family of witches, who somehow ended up with Clintt’s father, a man not that friendly.
As Clintt grew up, he would always listen to people having second thoughts about him and his siblings as rumors about some illegal work and exploration of workers at the family mines were going around town, in school some kids liked him, others would prefer not to trust him, and it was really hard for him to actually connect with people. Clintt wasn’t like his father who valued money, power and reputation above all things, he was just a 15 year old kid trying to have some friends who would invite him for lunch time, and that’s where Leo Dawson entered his life. Leo and Clintt started off as friends, but soon something else started there. It was weird, terrifying and exhilarating at same time. The first time they kissed Clintt held his breath for a second while his mind would go “is this really okay?” as the lyrics of Queen’s ‘I want to break free’ would play in his mind. That was the first time he kissed a boy, and it felt great that it was with someone he actually liked. They dated for a while, so some of Dan’s friends were also Clintt’s friends, while others were suspicious about the Barron kid. Even with this dating part being a secret, it was one of the very few great times Clintt had in high school.
For Clintt’s parents, there were nothing more important than family and business, so he was taught about the mines since a young age as he would be the one to help his older sister with the family business and it’s connections one day, but the rumors of the dirty business around the mines and the traditional ‘anti-gay son’ vibes of his father were getting on his nerves, soon starting to bring bad karma to Clintt himself. Some people expected him to be like his father while others the complete opposite, this pressure added to the sexuality thing, the ‘secret’ relationship, the family business and it’s reputation soon became too much and just like a snowman in summer, Clintt soon watched everything melt through his hands. He lost his boyfriend, his friends, his social life and his mind. At that moment, his father noticed how disturbed Clintt seemed to be and noticing the opportunity, he used his weakness to persuade him into going back to Europe where he could study to become a business man exactly like him, Clintt was lost on what he wanted for him, but he still wanted to make his family proud, so he accepted the offer, and right after graduation, he left.
The young man lived in Scotland for over 10 years with his older sister and father, dealing with family business while his mother and younger brother Lorcan were taking care of the mines, trying to fix the bad reputation that were growing around them and their business. In Scotland, his father and uncle were training them, both as witches and business experts. At some point in time Clintt came out, and as expected his father forced him to keep his “dirty secret” a secret from his daily life. Diana was turning into a woman more like Nicola, while Clintt just wasn’t sure. The family were stronger than ever at that point, and then, something chaotic. From Wolford, the news, Lorcan Barron was found dead in their home.
The loss of their younger brother hit very hard both siblings, They wanted answers, and Clintt went back to Wolford three or four times in the weeks after to check the investigations but nothing were coming out of it, almost like the own local police were involved. Their mother were in shock and didn’t wanted to see or talk to anyone, their father were always busy and Diana was being dragged by him. The community sympathized with their pain and soon the family reputation started to improve, honoring Lorcan’s efforts. Clintt went back to Scotland and kept his life going for a while, trying to get over their loss when he got news from home.
He got a call from one of his friends in Wolford in the middle of the night in Scotland, telling him about a baby, said to be Lorcan’s son, left at the local orphanage just a few hours ago. By then it had been almost three months since the death of his brother and both Lorcan and Clitt were pretty close but he never heard him said about getting any girl pregnant, still, he investigated, it was a good way to try to honor his memory. When the results came out positive, Clintt didn’t knew what to do, his mother were still depressed, sister too busy, father didn’t cared and he was just trying to have a life, and maybe that little boy were the answer, not the question.
He didn’t had much of a dating life, but had a couple love stories going on, always with people backing away when they realized Clintt can’t have a normal relationship because of his father, and the ones who stayed were the people interested in his status. That didn’t bothered him much, at that point he was focused on trying to dedicate his life to the family, his new little ‘nephew\adopted son’, witchcraft and business.
The year after losing Lorcan Clintt got involved in deals he wasn’t proud of. He knew about all the dirty business the Barrons had going on behind the mines, everything from workers exploration, drug trafficking, illegal negotiations and even associations with dirty politicians. He knew it all, and were doing what he was told to do, not really proud of it, but trying something. Everytime he would go back home and look at little boy Quill sleeping, he would regret every action of that day. The real family bomb only dropped that year, almost two years after the loss of his brother, when private investigations revealed a great amount of money being sent to America from one of the family accounts right before and after Lorcan’s death. Both Clintt and Diana dug a little and that’s when the truth came to light. Lorcan Barron’s death was planned by Nicola Barron.
The family business back in Wolford were getting bad reputations with all the gossip related to Nicola and his business, so he took his older kids to Scotland, leaving the mines for his younger and more likeable son to take charge alongside their mother, who were also a likeable woman, he thought that would be enough to keep things laying low but it just wasn’t. Some people were considering to ruin the Barron’s once and for all before their involvements come to light, and that’s when Nicola had the idea. A dramatic and chaotic turn into the family life so the public would have something tragic to talk about and honor the good man who was Lorcan Barron.
The realisation of what happened to Lorcan broke him, Clintt looked himself in the mirror and could no longer recognize the man he becamed. He never wanted that life, he never wanted that for Lorcan, Quill, or his mother who were living with cronical depression ever since. He was so tired of that man ruining everyone’s lives in order to keep his money and business. In a moment of anger, Clintt attacked Nicola, the two of them had a fight and Clintt knew how to stand his ground, like any Barron he was a really powerful warlock, but in that his dad was just a step further. Nicola didn’t cared about losing another son, he could make more if he needed, but he wouldn’t let Clintt ruin everything now so he started to torture him.Right when he thought he failed into stopping his dad, the man started to choke. Nicola couldn’t breathe like air was being pulled from his lungs, his veins started to swell and turn purple as Clintt was released from the spell. Right behind them, there was Diana, the oldest and most powerful of the three Barron siblings, saving her brother’s life.
Nicola Barron died that night. Diana found ways to make it look like an accident, and just a week after that, the secrets of the supernatural came out to the world. That moment was the real game changer for the living members of the Barron family. Without their father they might have right there the chance to start over. And so they did. Few months later, Clintt moved back to Wolford, now taking full charge of the Silver Creek mines and the family business, him and Diana are currently working together with the police on investigating all their father’s contacts and the business they had in the past with Nicola Barron, so far had been lots of threats, but things are working out. Clintt is trying his best as a parent for Quill, always making sure this kid is safe, there are still lots of steps for the Barron’s to correct their story but they are trying, sometimes making enemies of some powerful people, but also having new powerful allies on their side. It’s been four years now living in Wolford for Clintt, Quill is growing up fast and he’s sure that somewhere up there his brother is very proud.

Elsa was born in Australia, but didn’t have a good childhood. When she was born her mother died on the same day, her father was really aggressive and spent good part of her life blaming her for her mother’s death. He was a junkie and alcoholic, instead of having a normal childhood like any kids of her age, she had to babysit her father, also had to endure his beating if she didn’t do things he wanted. She always wanted to know how her mother was and her father hardly spoke about her, the only thing she had was pictures.
During the high-school times she moved to Wolford, but she didn’t have many friends. She was very coy and reserved and sometimes her impulses attacked when she sees a person being mistreated, she acted a bit violent, in which led her to the coordinator room’s. She didn’t have any other family member other than her own father, that was more like a son to her. She was great at sports, in which could lead her to gain scholarship in various universities.
She did began university, but had to stop because over the years her father was getting from bad to worst. She never had a serious relationship with anyone, because she didn’t want to people know about her complicated and messy life. She thinks she didn’t deserve good things, but always felt some darkness within her in which she didn’t know what to do or what was it.
Elsa worked a lot of odd jobs, since young age to put food on the table but every time wasn’t enough, so she took a decision to work as a stripper in a club, in which she could live a bit ‘comfortably’ maybe put her father in rehab.
When the world found out about the supernatural world, she was so shocked, thinking she went insane and a bit afraid of them and curious at the same time. Unfortunately, one day Elsa was so unmotivated in her life, and deals a bit her own mood swings at times, that tried to attempt to kill herself, this when a vampire appeared and saved her, giving her a chance to reborn and get new life. Nowadays, she lives on her trailer alone with a turtle pet named Obi and a cat black cat named Boo.

Name: Shin Seo Jun Gender pronouns: demi-man, they/him Age: 35 Birthday: September 30th Occupation: Rue Botanicals store manager Species: Fae, Seelie Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Lee Soo Hyuk
Bio: (tw: death, alcoholism)
Seojun’s story began before their birth. Shortly after having gotten married, Seojun’s grandparents moved to Raleigh, North Carolina during the Japanese rule over Joseon Korea in search for a better place to live. Stories of fae folk were spreading like wildfire in the village they lived in and life was getting more dangerous by the day, so, moving away seemed to be a good option. They didn’t have much back then, but the young newlyweds were taken under the care of a sweet vampire lady, who helped them settle down and start their own apothecary, which they named ‘Dalmin’s Garden’ at first. Two children came, one of them, being Seojun’s mother, who took ownership of the apothecary when she came of age, and, after getting married, she moved to Wolford, Tennessee and opened a second store of Dalmin’s Garden there.
She had big plans for it, so, after carefully consulting with a specialist, both herself and her older brother decided to make turn Dalmin’s Garden into something more profitable, thus the birth of Rue Botanicals, a personalized shop that would cater to people’s special needs with their skin and hair care products, perfectly crafted for them. Being fae made this particular feature extra profitable, for it actually delivered what it promised, whether it was hair loss or a little bit of extra luck for your day.
Seojun is the eldest of three children and by being the eldest, they had always had to be the responsible one. From a young age, they vowed to bring home perfect grades and stellar behavior both in academic scenarios and not, because they strongly believed that it would be their ticket out of Wolford and into the world that they so longed to see. Their grades took them to MIT, where they graduated suma cum laude in both Biology and Chemistry and were on their way to medical school when their mother was mysteriously killed by a cursed object, thus shattering Seojun’s dreams and forcing them to return to good ole Wolford to try and keep their family from falling apart, because they felt like it was their duty to do so.
They couldn’t.
Grief turned their father grim. It brought him to the steps of alcoholism, for alcohol was the only thing that seemed to numb the pain of the loss of his wife. The responsibility of taking care of their younger siblings and the store fell upon their shoulders, after all, the two were both younger and definitely not interested in keeping the family business alive, and in a matter of months, they caught themselves sitting behind a counter, either taking people’s orders or manufacturing the products themselves. It’s safe to say that the sudden shift in their lives changed Seojun’s ways completely. They were no longer the hopeful person they used to be. Instead, they now seemed to live on autopilot, which was not overseen by the ones closest to them. Deep down, however, they are still the sweet and nice person they used to be. It’s just hard for them to let people see that these days.

Name: Araceli Ochoa-Villalobos Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 36 Birthday: April 19th Occupation: EMT Species: Werewolf, Greywind Pack Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Jessica Alba
Bio:
When her eyes were first open to the world, to see it not for what it was or would be but to see it at first glance it would be across the Mexican landscape. The world would show its teeth soon enough but a girl would bare her teeth back soon enough. For as long as one had the capacity to remember the Ochoa and the Villalobos were especially gifted and given to protecting their small sliver of Mexico with tooth and claw. Before that one supposed they originated in the Spanish countryside somewhere between the basque and castillian countryside but in a reality where they were from mattered little in the grand scheme of things. Rather what they were and where they would be going would be the difference. Werewolves. A girl and her siblings one of the first things they learned after that first glimpse and the first breath was of their uniqueness. Abuela would take them to the mountains there in Orizaba, in Veracruz, and tell grand stories of how the wolf-blooded came to Mexico and that it was a privilege to be.
It was bittersweet leaving behind the place that held their history but papa felt it was necessary for a plethora of reasons. His work was moving, and the life they led was needed to change and adjust. Earning citizenship was not easy of course but once it was granted, the Ochoa-Villalobos family moved to a small town. Wolford was not home but it would become the place that Araceli built into one. She knew little English as did her siblings but it would come. Araceli was fiery and strong, feisty and people liked her for it and she found that perhaps while it was not the place she was born or even grew up in mostly it could be a place to call home one day. Wolford would be the place she would see her first shift and in that moment after the horrible pain of a first shift, seeing the world through true eyes of the beast it was hard to be in love with anywhere else. The forests there became like her mountain and while no paradise the young woman could create a small slice here for brothers and sisters. Parents had joined the Greywind pack at that time, father taking up a position as enforcer, and it was only natural that Araceli would too. Thirteen years old and new into this town with an okay grasp of English and now the girl was a wolf. Araceli would help her brother and later sister to transition into becoming what they were always meant to be even if it was charged to an older adult to do this – big sister would join them on their first run so they would not be alone. She would mature, and become more and more the fearless woman Araceli is known to be now over time. The teen years were fun to see where you saw the utter confidence shake the world, her honesty and passion she was refreshing and the spice that reminded the world at large to be alive; to find a life worth living. The summer Araceli turned sixteen and took her first job as a lifeguard at the Wolford Country Club, Wolford boys and some girls came to damn near falling all over themselves. Sure it was mostly attempted at getting her attention but it was then while saving another kid from drowning that Araceli knew what she wanted to do secularly for the rest of her life. It wasn’t to be a lifeguard, personally, she didn’t care to be Wolford’s answer to bay watch. Araceli wanted to be an EMT.
Araceli if anyone knew a single thing about her did march to the beat of her own drum and while a faithful pack member she wouldn’t do something the easiest of ways or because she was told to without believing in the order. The girl was determined. The same with college and her schooling. Rather than go the traditional course and head directly into an EMT training program, Araceli got incredibly lucky getting into Vanderbilt and for a small time commuting back and forth to Nashville for six years to earn the required degree to become licensed in the state of Tennessee. For a moment Araceli looked as if the strong woman might simply settle for being an RN but she wasn’t done yet. Just a little bit after her 25th birthday after having been an RN for roughly a year, Araceli put in her notice at the hospital and entered the fire academy with designs to become a certified EMT. Due to her degree and the license she already possessed the young wolf of a woman was able to test out of most required training for EMTs and in the time it took to complete the academy she was at the top of her class. The dream was achieved, a hope realized and Araceli was hired easily days later. Ten years since then there hasn’t been much to report and for a spirit of a woman who liked the action and to be captivated and have her talents used and acknowledged it was and has been fairly busy in Wolford even if it read often like the same day over and over. The job is hard, honestly much harder than the full firefighting department has it and she’s seen things that even for a wolf in regular life Araceli is haunted by. Still, it is what she loves and she’s valued in the pack for her help. Days are starting to grow restless and even the terrible thought of challenging the alpha wiggles around her mind but perhaps her own sense knows something else is coming, something new is about to happen that will change it all.

Bio:
When the Rojas learned they were pregnant again, expecting their second child, and that of a baby girl, they were overjoyed. Their family had been formed with the birth of their son, but they saw it fully completed with the presence of Elina. Unbeknownst to her during her early childhood years, a lot of attention and direction were directed towards her in comparison to her brother. The vision and optics the Rojas desired for their son seemed to plateau rather quickly and more time and energy were placed into the development and future of Elina’s life. It wasn’t until halfway through college that she finally could see the variation in treatment and attention she received from her parents differed greatly from her brothers. Unfortunately, at the point in their relationship they were cordial at best as he had become the black sheep of the family.
With her parents constant tallying of her engagements and activities, Elina was propelled and expected to perform well in everything she did. From ballet and cello lessons to basketball and volunteering at the town’s hospital, a precedent was set for her to succeed well. It all equated to much pride and joy when she got accepted to med school at one of the top universities in the country. A lot of long hours, training, and coffee propelled her to complete her residency in emergency medicine. An amazing opportunity brought her to the island of Puerto Rico where she has been working her first full year as an independent physician between a local hospital and clinic.
An old friend of hers from Opulence who now was working at the town’s hospital informed her of a vacancy that existed and how amazing it would be to have her back home. Plus, knowing that her niece was being raised by her brother, had brought the opportunity to rebuild her relationship with him and for the sake of the young girl. Family was important and although Darren may not have received the same amount of love and support she received, Elina wanted to make sure that he did not go unnoticed. That his daughter knew what family truly could be and not this distorted facade the both of them grew up in. It’s only been a month since she’s permanently returned home. Many of the streets have remained the same since her youth, but the people have evolved and changed. Elina is looking forward to giving back to the place she grew up in and hopes to make a lasting impact for however long she decides to remain home once more.
PERSONALITY:
+ pragmatic, loyal, and ambitious

Name: Kassia Hale Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 33 Birthday: November 28th Occupation: Private Investigator and Owner of The Empty Cask Species: Hunter Neighborhood: Downtown Face Claim: Melanie Scrofano
Bio: (tw: Death, Violence, Mentions of Depression and Cancer )
The Hales, natives of the town of Wolford, have been hunting the supernatural for over a century - the family are renowned, in particular, for being incredibly skilled vampire hunters. The more recent generations of Hales, however, are, as a whole, known for their honourable nature, acceptance of all supernatural creatures (just as long as they pose no threat to humans) and for their desire to keep the peace and maintain order between the species.
The first born daughter of Owen and Vanessa Hale, Kassia is the second eldest of four children born to the couple. Born and raised in Wolford, like almost every Hale before her, Kassia considered her early childhood to be a happy one. The definition of a tomboy, she loved nothing more than playing rough with her siblings, exploring the land around their farmhouse on the far outskirts of town and going on family camping trips with her parents. Kass and her siblings were trained in the art of the hunt and taught about the different supernatural species by their father from a young age. They were instructed to practice regularly and hone their abilities, granting them the potential to become powerful and skilled hunters.
When Vanessa passed away after a battle with cancer, only a few years after the birth of their youngest daughter, Owen was left to raise their four children alone. He made a modest living as a carpenter and maintained the business Vanessa had set up selling produce home grown on their land. Owen supported his children the best that he could with extra help from his older sister Alyssa, who also lived in Wolford and owned the local bar, The Empty Cask. She had no kids of her own but treated her nieces and nephews as if they were hers. Despite the loss of their mother at such tender ages, Kassia and her siblings remained happy and contented children, thanks to the unconditional love and affection from their devoted father and aunt. Owen, with Alyssa lending a helping hand, continued to teach his children about the supernatural and the intricacies of hunting, helping them to advance the skills he hoped could one day save their lives and the lives of many others.
The relative happiness of Kassia’s childhood was shattered, however, following an attack on their home one night by a group of vampires that were seeking revenge on the Hale patriarch and his family for the countless deaths of their own throughout the years. The vampires forced the children from their slumber, having compelled Kassia’s younger sister to grant them prior invitation into the home, and dragged them outside where they watched as their father was physically restrained by the leader of the group. Fourteen year old Kassia, fearing for the life of the only parent she had left, fought free from the grip of her own captor and managed to grab a crossbow that had been left outside from a training session earlier that day. She fired a sharpened wooden bolt from the crossbow in the direction of the bloodsucker that held her father captive, but instead of killing the vampire as intended, Kassia’s father fell lifelessly to the ground as blood spilled from the wound in his chest – her attack had missed, and Kassia had caused the death of the man she was trying to save. Her mind went blank as she dropped to her knees, unable to comprehend what she had just done, grief and despair completely overwhelming her. The vampires fled the scene, their goal of killing Owen Hale having been completed, though not in the way that they had planned.
Following the death of their father, the Hale children went to live with their Aunt Alyssa in Downtown Wolford. She continued to train her brother’s kids to become better hunters and gain control over their abilities, as well as providing them with a stable home to grow up in. Kassia was committed to a psychiatric hospital for a year and a half after falling into a deep depression, unable to cope with her grief and the guilt of what she had done to her father. Once released from the institution at the age of fifteen, Kass went on to have a particularly tumultuous adolescence; she became self-destructive and rebellious, lashing out at the people closest to her, namely her family. She’d sneak out of the house at night in order to meet with wrong kind of people, get blackout drunk on booze before waking up either on a stranger’s couch or on the street the next morning. She became something of a pariah, ‘The girl that killed her father’, yet her reputation as an outcast was something Kass found herself feeling proud of. Getting arrested would sometimes be the outcome of Kassia’s more dangerous activities, namely picking fights with anyone that even looked briefly looked at her the wrong way, however, she made no attempt to adjust her behaviour, even after a stint in a juvenile detention facility, fuelled by the anger that she felt towards her father’s death.
The only thing that Kassia wholeheartedly threw her energy into was her training, bolstered by a desire to be a skilled enough hunter that another mistake with a weapon would be impossible for her to make. With time, Kass became an expert markswoman and hand to hand combatant, a true force to be reckoned with. She always made sure to carry a knife in her boot, holy water in her pocket and her signature weapon on her belt; a custom made enchanted Colt Buntline Special revolver, loaded with pointed wooden bullets for the bloodsuckers, pure silver ones for the shifters and werewolves and cursed bullets for the magic users. One thing the Hale children had always been taught, drilled into their heads by both their father and their aunt, was to never attack until provoked, and only seek to kill the supernaturals that were hurting innocents and upsetting the balance. As hunters, they are keepers of peace. For the most part, Kassia agreed with this, but her vendetta against vampires sometimes made it hard for her to exert self control when coming face to face with a bloodsucker.
At the age of twenty one, Kassia left Wolford behind, the place that had once been a true home yet now felt more like a prison of her own making. For several years, Kass spent her time travelling from town to town, city to city, country to country, all in a futile effort to outrun her past and the grief that came hand in hand with it. Sleepless nights, empty alcohol bottles and one night stands became fixtures in her routine. Living pay check to pay check, she took odd jobs here and there when she began struggling with cash, earning just enough to keep gas in the tank and food in her belly. Occasionally, Kassia would take trips back home to Wolford, such as for her sister’s high school graduation, or for the funeral of her Aunt Alyssa, who had left her beloved bar, The Empty Cask, to her nieces and nephews in her will. But for the most part, Kassia’s life was on the road now. She was on a road trip that had no end destination, with whiskey, rock music and her weaponry being her only lasting companions, but the huntress stopped anywhere there was a sign something supernaturally evil may be afoot that she felt obligated to put a stop to. After a while, Kassia made a decision to open her own private investigation business, and took on cases of a supernatural nature, as well as the more mundane. She wanted to help others, to atone for her past mistakes and do some good - even if it only meant busting a cheating husband or an insurance fraudster.
Not long ago, Kassia received a call from her older brother; a gruesome scene had been discovered outside the residence of the youngest Hale siblings. The vampires that had attacked their home and caused their father’s death all those years ago were back. They’d killed Kassia’s younger brother and abducted her sister, who was nowhere to be found. Immediately, Kass traveled back to Wolford as fast as she could, unable to stay estranged from her remaining family any longer and hell bent on hunting down whoever had kidnapped her sister and murdered her younger brother. She’s been home for only a few days but has already thrown herself into an investigation to find her sister, determined not to let anything stand in her way - Kassia’s going to bring her sister home alive. Of that, she’s certain.
Vivacious and charismatic, it’s not unusual to find yourself so blinded by Kassia’s charm to realize that she’s actually just insulted you or taken advantage of you in some way. With her razor sharp wit and sarcastic tongue, she can often come across as blunt and confrontational, not afraid of speaking her mind or letting her opinions be heard, and rarely giving a shit about how she’s perceived by others.
However, despite appearing confident and ferociously independent, underneath Kassia’s tough and hardened demeanour lies a deep-seated insecurity, an emotional vulnerability and a desperate need for love and affection. Kass is entirely ruled by her emotions, and an anger has been steadily burning beneath her surface since since her father died; she’s bitter for being the one to cause his death, despite it being an accident, and is furious at those that put her in that situation. In the years since her father’s death, she’s become impulsive and heavily reliant on alcohol, enjoying nothing more than a reckless, drunken night on the town where she can become nothing more than just another face amidst the hedonistic crowd and, hopefully, end up in the bed of a stranger the following morning.
Kass has an unwavering sense of loyalty and is fiercely protective of her family and friends, the select few that aren’t her siblings that she deeply, truly cares for. If you’ve earned Kassia’s trust and respect, you’ve got a faithful warm-hearted and comical companion on your team. But cross her or someone she cares about? With the lengths she’ll go to to protect her loved ones, let’s just say you best remain on her good side, or you’ll have an intimidating and ruthless adversary to deal with.

There wasn’t a time when Stevie didn’t remember being Daddy’s little girl. Even when she an infant, she always loved her father, and even as an adult, she still does. Stevie’s memories of her mother, however, have gone fuzzy with time. She hasn’t seen the woman in almost sixteen years, and even then, she wasn’t particularly close to her. To say Stevie always gravitated towards her father would be an understatement.
When she was twelve years old, Stevie started to realize their little household was missing that mother-role that her friends at school all had. She watched her father exhaust himself with his job with the police and then coming home and making dinner and cleaning up, then sleeping and starting all over again. So Stevie taught herself how to cook, taking that burden off her father’s shoulders.
She continued that habit even into adulthood, more often than not ending her day at her father’s house, making dinner as she did when she was younger. The only time that didn’t happen was the time when she was in college, only coming home on the weekends.
With her degree in hand, Stevie does freelance art to earn her own living, doing commissions online and painting mural-ads for local businesses.

The first born of the Dawson clan, Apollo is the dependable & convivial older brother with a few chips and cracks on his shoulders. Nonetheless, he’s always prepared to fight for his family and do what’s right — even if others may tell him he’s in the wrong.
Being the older brother, Apollo felt as though he had to live up to his parent’s — mainly his father’s —standards from a young age and that affected him negatively. As an adolescent, he would constantly rebel and push the limit of what he could do, always bending the rules a bit to where he had freedom and what was told of him couldn’t be completely set in stone. Apollo wasn’t necessarily a rule breaker, but he wasn’t a rule follower either.
At 21, everything had to change. His girlfriend at the time, Felicity, gave birth to their daughter, Stevie. Apollo quickly let go of the remnants of rebellion and slivers of adolescence and stepped up to be the greatest father he could be; he got a part time job on a local farm, caring after the animals for a hefty price. While he would usually spend the money on moonshine and a cigarette, all of it went to his daughter’s care.
When his daughter turned four, Apollo set out to train to become a police detective and quickly wooed his mentors with how responsible he was. After months of learning with the best, he graduated from the police academy and became a rookie at Wolford’s Police Department.
Now, at the age of 43, Apollo is an esteemed detective at the station and works hard to provide for his daughter, as well as his siblings and the rest of his family. He and Felicity are no longer together, as she left him  when Stevie was only six, seeking out adventure — and another man — in Paris.

Name: Maria Luiza “Malu” Lobo Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 40 Birthday: May 8th Occupation: Owner of Emerald City Strip Club Species: Werewolf, Harvest Moon Pack alpha Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Tais Araujo
Bio (tw: slavery)
Maria Luiza, or Malu, like she’s always been called by the ones the closest to her, descends from a prestigious line of werewolves that originated in Africa but were taken to the Brazilian colony a few centuries ago, and it was there that Malu’s ancestors gained their last name, for it means wolf in portuguese. The Harvest Moon pack, at first, had members residing in both Africa and in cities across Brazil, however as the times went by, countries were formed and cities grew more dangerous to supernaturals, they’ve decided it would be safer to remain together in one place, and immigrated to the United States at the end of the 1960s, then making Wolford their home. At the beginning, the pack also went by a different name, but once they all moved to an English-speaking country, the name also changed to make it easier to welcome new members.
Growing up and carrying the family’s responsibilities of moving up the ranks in the pack, Malu knew she would someday be taking the place of her mother as the Alpha. She studied diligently, trained hard and tried her best to ensure that she created bonds with these people, after all, they had chosen to make a home in this pack. They mattered. As she grew up and became more aware of the other packs she came in touch with, Malu realized that the Harvest Moon was different from anything else she had ever seen before, and in a good way. Women, not only were respected, but they also carried a different importance there, for pack had a female and matriarchal nature to itself.
Leaving home for college was harder than she’s ever thought it would be, but every summer Maria Luiza was back from Knoxville, where she attended to Vanderbilt University, to catch up with her friends and family. With a Psychology degree under her name, Maria Luiza made it back to Wolford to start working at the Memorial Hospital, while also doing some work at clinics in the cities nearby on some days. Her interest for the communities nearby grew as she kept on traveling from city to city, but obviously, her heart had always belonged to Wolford and the people who there lived.
The decision of taking charge of Emerald City came a few years ago, when, after attending to some of the dancers, she learned just how poorly they were being treated and couldn’t stand the injustice anymore. Her family already owned some establishments in town, including that one, and she told her parents she would be giving up on her career as a psychologist in order to be in charge of the club. It has been her baby ever since, and she has been trying to keep it as a safe environment for all the workers there, especially the dancers. She has also started attending to Law School online, to make sure her employees are protected by the law.
Malu has a ten-year old son, Felipe who she loves very much. She and his father dated for some time a few years back, but have decided to part ways amicably. Although Felipe lives mostly with his mother, the two have a shared custody of him. They’re both part of the pack.

+ Motherly, ambitious, gregarious

Name: Cyrano ‘Cy’ Montpellier Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 68 Birthday: October 22nd Occupation: Owner of the Church Hill Drive In Species: Human Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Jeff Goldblum
Bio:
Cyrano was born and raised in Manhattan as the only child of a Broadway Producer and Choreographer
He had a fabulous, supportive upbringing surrounded by some of the most famous (and famously bizarre) personalities one would imagine
While he could have absolutely gone into production like his pops, Cy was quick to discover that his talent was in the realm of criticism, namely for films. He cut his teeth on writing critical reviews of various broadway productions and films for his high school’s newspaper before transitioning into college and continuing to gain notoriety there for his acerbic wit and discerning eye
It was during this time that Cy would meet the man of his dreams: Beauregard McCallum. To say that Cy fell head over heels in love would have been an understatement: Beau was Cyrano’s entire world. Beau’s vampiric nature was quick to come forward, but that just endeared Cy to him all the more.
Unfortunately, with such a disparity in mortality came the conundrum of Cy aging while Beau…didn’t. Cy began to press Beau about changing him. It made perfect sense to him: after all, they were meant for each other, so why not spend eternity together being beautiful and so in love? Evidently, Beau didn’t see things the same way, because one day Cy woke up and Beau was gone without a trace.
His heart absolutely shattered, Cy closed his heart off for good and went about his life as a Film and Arts Critic in New York. He continued to lead an ultra-fabulous life, but as the years wore on, it all became increasingly pallid in comparison to his younger years.
At the age of 65, Cy went into retirement, only coming out to write pieces on select occasions and essentially resigned himself to a reclusive existence in New York. He was in desperate need of a change
Fortunately, that change came in the form of a deed to a drive-in in some middle-of-nowhere town called Wolford. Seizing the opportunity, Cy collected every aspect of his life and relocated to Wolford, hoping to start anew.
PERSONALITY:
+ Jovial, Quick-witted, Surprisingly kind

Name: Catherine “Kitty” Francia Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 511, appears 25 Birthday: May 17th Occupation: A little this, a little that Species: Vampire Neighborhood: Shimmering Oaks Face Claim: Jodie Comer
Bio: (tw: imprisonment, death, corpses)
In 1536 the second wife of Henry VIII was found guilty of adultery and treason, her marriage to the King of England was declared null and void, and many a courtier associated with her, or loyal to her were found guilty of similar offenses and put to death.
Imprisoned in the Tower of London, a twenty-five-year-old human named Catherine Beckett watched from a slit in the wall of her cell as both her husband and her brother were put to death for aiding in treasonous attempts against the King. The blonde watched as the two men she loved most in the world, second only to her father, lost their heads mere yards from her.
In a bid to save himself and the rest of the Beckett family, Catherine’s father had provided false proof against her, as well as her brother and her husband. Catherine had always been his favourite child, and she had adored her father more than anyone in the world, loyal to a fault.
Half-starved after months in the tower, delirious from grief and fear, she felt she might lose it entirely. And yet it did not. When a guard took pity on the once pretty and popular courtier and threw her a bone with some meat left over on it, Catherine kept that bone. She stripped it of its meat and using the stone walls oh her cell to whittle it into a weapon. There was no plan really, just a determined resolution to fight as hard and conflict as much pain as possible on those that would drag her to the chopping block.
Through some sick twist of fate, Catherine’s father felt compelled to say a final goodbye to his favourite daughter. In spite of it all, the blonde embraced her father, and the pair sobbed together. She forgave him when he apologised and said her goodbyes as he did, staring into his tired guilt-ridden eyes as she plunged the bone shiv between his rib cage.
What followed next was a chaotic attempt to escape a tower guarded by hundreds of soldiers. Catherine was half starved, half insane from despair and rage, and only equipped with one small lamb bone. She did not make it far, only killing one guard and wounding one other before she was caught. She never made it to the block, instead meeting the cold end of a soldier’s sword just one month before she turned 26.
So busy were the guards during this time, that no time was spared to ensure that Catherine was in fact dead. She was thrown amongst the corpses of other prisoners who had either met the axe or had died due to injuries sustained on the rack. Even dying, Catherine kept fighting; she gripped onto the calves, hands, heads of the deceased and tried to drag herself out of the pile waiting for burial. Minutes from death, Catherine felt cold, stone arms wrap around her, lifting her and carrying her away. Through bleary eyes, she looked up into the kind and loving face of a vampire Æðelric “Elric” Francia.
“What would you do with immortality?” the strange man asked, cradling her limp body, supporting the weight of her head as the life slipped slowly away from her.
“Everything” Catherine swore, through a mouthful of blood.
The correct answer given, Elric drained his new daughter of what little human blood she still retained and fed her his own. Baptised in soil and blood, Catherine awoke beneath the earth next to her sire and together, they clawed their way to the new night.
Catherine – since renamed Kitty – was a fast student of Elric’s. She adapted quickly to her new life, not taking a moment for granted, wasting no time quibbling over her new species or worrying over the status of her soul. Kitty embraced vampirism under Elric’s tutelage and in return she kept her promise. She fell in love, several times, she fought in wars, she picked up every hobby that tickled her fancy and dropped it again when she grew bored. She threw herself into social campaigns that moved her, travelled to countries just to try the cuisine, even presented as a man for almost a decade just because she was curious to see the difference in the gender experience.
Despite her advanced age, Kitty presents as a very wide-eyed youthful creature. She has a thirst for life and is easily over excited. In the same way, she is also very prone to temper tantrums and bouts of sadness. Although she has spent time away from her sire over the years, taking time out to pursue whatever fancy took her interest, Kitty prefers to reside with Elric, presenting as a typical daddy’s girl.

Name: Rhys Wren Kerr Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 30 Birthday: April 24th Occupation: Tattoo artist, Blue Moon Tattoos Species: Fae, Seelie Neighborhood: Sycamore Heights Face Claim: Joe Keery
Bio: (tw: child abandonment)
Born on April 24th, 1992, Rhys Kerr is the youngest of his parents’ three shared children. He was never truly given the chance to have a bond with or even actually know his father since he left their family to start a new one shortly after Rhys’ arrival. His mother remarried several years later, so Rhys wasn’t exactly fatherless growing up. As far as he knew, his stepfather was his dad, and he would never consider anything different for even a second. Although he had moments growing up when he would question why his biological father left and never made any effort to be in their lives, he tried hard not to care. Still, it would be a lie to say that he didn’t harbor a great deal of resentment and bitterness towards the man that left and never had the desire to want to know him, considering how obvious it was that his new family seemed to be good enough to be worthy of his time and attention.
Even though he was exposed to a healthy family and loving relationship in the form of his mother and stepfather, his father leaving the way that he did still managed to leave a mark on Rhys. He became slightly cynical and disbelieving in love over the years. In school, he was never the most popular in class, but he wasn’t an outcast by any means, either. He simply struggled when it came to forming connections, not for lack of people wanting to be involved in his life. Quite frankly, he had trust issues which trickled into commitment issues, so he would push away potential relationships and run off at even the first sign of strife.
Against the odds, his heart and nature made an exception in his early twenties and he became involved with a girl that he knew from high school. It started as something casual, but a part of him always knew that the two of them would never be able to be “just friends”. Spontaneously, they took off in the middle of the night and ran away from Wolford together to travel and have an adventure. They were only gone for a month, but before Rhys knew it, he was thrust head over heels in love, completely wrapped around her pretty little finger. With each day, week, month, and year, things grew more serious.
Initially, he had gotten a degree in journalism, but by the time he was twenty-five, three years into his relationship, he decided that he wanted to take a different path in life. He sent in an application to go back to school, this time for art, but his desired school was hundreds of miles away and given that his girlfriend was already working towards a degree here, it wasn’t possible for them to go together. Because of this, he never told her that it was something he was considering, much less that he’d applied. So, when he received his acceptance letter, he didn’t tell her about that, either. Given his fears and reservations when it comes to long-term relationships, he was terrified of it all going wrong. This sentiment ended up screwing him over in the end anyway, since she came across the letter on her own. Understandably so, she felt hurt and confused that he kept her in the dark regarding such a big life decision. Ultimately, not wanting him to miss out on the opportunity and grow to resent her because of it, the two mutually decided that they should cool things off and take a step back from their relationship until they both finish their degrees as attempting to maintain a long-distance relationship could put a strain on things and cause more issues than simply taking a break.
Heartbroken and trying to ignore the gaping hole inside of him caused by leaving a piece of himself behind, Rhys once again left Wolford as he worked on his degree and began an apprenticeship under a professional tattoo artist. After he graduated and completed his apprenticeship, he started his work there at the same tattoo shop. This went on for several months as he gained more experience, however, as soon as he heard from his siblings that their father was reaching out and trying to put forth an effort to be involved in their lives, he was immediately skeptical. Even if he wanted to be in their lives, why should they allow him to be? After all these years, he would never deserve that. His suspicions proved to be true when he learned that his father was forcing his older sister into an arranged marriage, and this angered Rhys beyond belief. Without a second thought, he returned back to Wolford to both support and try to help his sister deal with the situation. He would always put all of his own problems aside to protect the people that he cares about, whether there’s much he can realistically do or not.

Name: Serafina Blackwood Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 29 Birthday: August 6th Occupation: Pharmacist, Twilight Apothecary Species: Witch, Stardust Coven Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Halston Sage
Bio:
Although the truth surrounding her birth parents alludes her, Sera has known the warmth and love of a family for as long as she can remember. When she was two she was adopted by the Blackwood family. Gaining not only loving parents, but many soon to be siblings. Growing up she took solace in the warm chaos, loud halls and constant chatter. It was as soothing to her as the swaying of the trees, the dirt beneath her feet.
For the majority of her childhood, Sera was a kindhearted girl who loved to spend time outdoors. Learning, experimenting, or getting into typical Sera shenanigans. Diving into sketchy bodies of water and getting her and her siblings sick for a week. Breaking her arm not once, but twice on her make shift swings. Running off to spend the day studying at the apothecary. Or you might find her sat, back pressed against the tree as the branches shielded her from the sun’s harsh rays while she read whatever novel she was currently consumed by.
Once puberty hit, however, she was faced with a newfound and not entirely embraced status — she became popular. Maybe it’s because it happened so suddenly that she couldn’t fully give in and conform. She felt it was for superficial reasons and not because everyone genuinely wanted to be her friend. She would still go to the gatherings she was invited to and had many people surrounding her during free periods and lunchtime, but that didn’t mean that she never felt out of place. Despite being a hopeless romantic, Sera had very few relationships throughout the years. Then again, maybe it’s because she was a romantic. She kept waiting for the right guy to sweep her off her feet, and perhaps she already had her eye on the person she hoped it’d be.
Cut to two years of college done, taking a well deserved break and wondering where life would lead her next. It is during this time that she happens to run into her crush from high school. It seems like the universe is constantly bringing them together, and this time it resulted in both of them packing up some things in the dead of night and venturing out into the unknown, wanting to see new things and make some memories outside of Wolford. The month-long road trip would go down in history as her greatest adventure as the two of them fell madly in love along the way.
Returning home, Sera and her boyfriend got a place together and were happy for the next three years. She started going back to school at this point to finish up what she needed to do to become a pharmacist so she could work at the apothecary. Everything seems totally fine until one day when she unexpectedly finds an acceptance letter to a university that is hundreds of miles away that belonged to her boyfriend. This left her feeling shocked, confused, and hurt that he would keep this a secret from her. Ultimately, this led to the two of them deciding to go their own ways since she wanted him to follow his dreams and didn’t want to stand in his way and cause him to resent her later down the line. Even though it was a mutual agreement, it devastated her and her soft heart. Having her love slip right through her fingers was a pain she never saw coming.
Five years down the line and she finished all of her schooling and has been working at the apothecary ever since.

Name: Marco Antonio “Tony” Rivera Gaitan Gender pronouns: he/him Age: 29 Birthday: November 3rd Occupation: Employee, Secret Realm; Self-made Entrepreneur (drug dealer) Species: Werewolf Neighborhood: Ace’s Trailer Park Face Claim: Tyler Posey
Bio: (tw: drugs, dealing drugs, children neglect, kidnapping, force crime)
“Trashy Tony”, or the moniker the kids in during his primary school years liked to lay down on him, and the blame was all on his mother. Tony was the second of six children, with the younger four from three different fathers, and such shenanigans were not easily forgiven by the small Texas town he was born in. The family lived in a two-bedroom, low-income apartment, where he had to share the living area with his true brother and one of his half-siblings. His mother kept a bedroom all to herself, though it remained empty for most of the day and night between her various multiple jobs, and even with all those hours, she could hardly support her children. Many nights, Tony and his siblings had to share Stouffer’s frozen meals, and while some of his other siblings were more caring and would give bigger helpings to the younger ones, Tony was quicker to steal theirs.
His nickname followed him through the years, especially during the times he never bothered to shower or to wash his rotation of a single shirt and two Goodwill pants that were too big for him. He never found embarrassment in it, and mainly because it seemed like that was all he knew of life until CPS was called in to check on the Rivera Gaitan family when he was thirteen. It was then that he found out that the reason why his family was stuck in ill-fated poverty was due to his mother’s gambling addiction, and her multiple jobs were to pay off her various debts. He began to understand why random men with greasy hair, slick grins, and yellow-tinted aviators would knock on their door every so often.
After CPS deemed that the children were not being abused or harmfully neglected (saved for a bout of a little malnutrition), his mother packed the kids up and moved them to another low-income housing network in Austin, Texas, hoping to find better work. And while she did, it also meant that her children had free reign in a larger city, with a bigger crowd, and even more shit to get into. And Tony took advantage of that.
His new friends at school were a rough group. These were kids who had started smoking weed at age nine, had watched their uncles get murdered by masked assassins at barbeques, and whose fathers were just as absent as his. He wanted to be cool like them, to be scary and intimidating and to shed that name of “Trashy Tony”. To capitalize on it in his own way, and so, he pretended to like cigarettes until they began to taste good, and he stole his first thing (a Spiderman comic and a backpack at Walmart) when he was fourteen.
High school was another whirlwind on its own, where Austin’s vibrant, college kid-heavy 6th Street beckoned him into his most detrimental phase. There he met girls who would invite him back to their dorm to try cocaine (which he loved) and to break into the school’s covered pool to skinny dip (which he loved more). He began crafting his own fake IDs to weasel into bars, and since his mother was never home, he never had the fear of getting caught.
By the time he was seventeen, he was heavily addicted to alcohol and the thrill of partying, even going so far as to not return home for days, and between his junior and senior year of high school, he dropped out to try his hand at dealing acid and Adderall with some random dude he met at the Jackalope bar. However, his short, fast way lay of living caught the attention of his mother’s debt collectors, and one night, he remembered ordering a drink at the bar and the next, he was waking up in a literal locked dog cage.
His captives were holding him for ransom, and when it was apparent his mother had no money to save him. She sold him to pay off his debt, where he then became a dog for the syndicate. And that’s not in a figurative sense either. What he didn’t realize was that the syndicate was a pack whose territory spanned through half of eastern Texas and some of Louisiana, and he was “initiated” into the group after being viciously attacked by some of the members, practically escaping within the inch of his life.
For the next five years, he was forced to do the legwork of the pack hierarchy, ranging from sharking debts, soldiering the territory lines, and even hunting down fled pack members. It helped that his werewolf form was unusually big, and while he prided himself on that, he hated having to be everyone’s bitch.
During a routine territory scout, Tony ran. His mother’s debts were her own again. He had no idea where he was traveling to or what sort of scents he left behind, but he landed in a small, hidden town that housed other creatures like himself. He has been living in Wolford for the last year, and he’s not getting comfortable. The moment he even senses an old syndicate pack member, he plans on abandoning everything.

Name: Marjorie “Jorie” Elle Dawson Gender pronouns: she/her Age: 38 Birthday: June 15th Occupation: Chef/Restauranteur, Southern Jewel Species: Fae, Seelie Neighborhood: Silver Meadows Face Claim: Katheryn Winnick
Bio: (tw: mentions of death)
Born and raised in the sleepy little town of Wolford, Marjorie–or Jorie, as most everyone knows her–is the third child and eldest daughter of the Dawson clan.  While her large family is renown to this day for their close-knit, loving bonds, growing up one of nine children came with challenges, as well.  Being the oldest girl in a traditionalist family, much of the domestic overflow that Mama Dawson couldn’t handle on her own fell upon Jorie’s shoulders; housework, errands, childcare for her many younger siblings, and so much more.  While other girls her age were having sleepovers and parties and first dates, Jorie was at home changing diapers, helping with homework, or trying to keep up with a seemingly neverending supply of dirty laundry.  Her responsibilities at home too often took priority over the budding young woman’s social life, and though she seldom complained openly, it was an isolating and exhausting way to grow up.  With few friends and little time to pursue her own interests, Marjorie struggled to find herself in her formative years as most teenagers do.  As much as she loved her brothers and sisters, she felt trapped and often resentful that her own childhood had been sacrificed by virtue of her parents decision to raise such a sizable brood on a pauper’s paycheck. Despite it all, one thing she never minded was helping her mother in the kitchen.  Feeding a veritable army of Dawsons three hearty meals a day in a budget conscious way had been something of a full-time job in and of itself, and the matriarch of the family taught her daughter well.  So well, in fact, that after Jorie graduated from High School she sought out a future in the culinary world.
While still living at home to continue helping with her siblings, Marjorie began working at a local restaurant in town that was owned and operated by the Layton family.  It was a small outfit, and it gave her the opportunity to do it all–front of the house, back of the house, everything in between–and she quickly found herself immersed in the business.  Mr. and Mrs. Layton were good to her, and Jorie became fast friends with their daughter, Grace.  As time went on the two were inseparable; working together, playing together, and discovering adulthood by one another’s side.  For the first time in her life Jorie felt like she was really living it.
The best friends decided to expand the Layton’s restaurant business; starting to offer event-planning and catering services on a limited basis.  Gracie took care of the planning and decor, and Jorie handled the food; leaning on the much beloved southern fare she had grown up preparing with her mother in the Dawson family kitchen, and elevating it for appeal to modern standards.  The venture was a roaring success, with clientele expanding as far as Blue Falls.  Later that year Grace married her high school sweetheart, Seth Jansen–a professional photographer–and with his talents added to the mix their little side hustle became Wolford’s one-stop shop for all things celebration adjacent.  Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas Parties, Quinceaneras, Bar Mitzvahs; they did it all, and they did it exceedingly well.  The business grew so quickly and successfully that Grace and Jorie broke away from the Layton’s little family restaurant, and Southern Jewel Events was born.
The next few years brought professional success, and with it enough profits that Jorie was able to put some money in savings (with a bit of investment help from her little brother, Leo), help her parents out with their finances, and finally move out of the Dawson family home.  She bought herself a modest house in the Silver Meadows neighborhood, just a few doors down from the one her best friend and business partner shared with her growing family.  Unfortunately, Marjorie’s newfound success failed to extend to her personal life.  After falling into a string of bad relationships, she met someone who seemed different.  He wasn’t, of course–Jorie always did fall for the worst kind of people–and things soured just like all the rest.  She found herself faced with an unexpected pregnancy a few weeks after ending their failed relationship.  Not ready to step back into the roles of motherhood and domestic caretaker that she’d only just escaped, much less tether herself to a man who was no good for her, Jorie considered termination.  Grace talked her out of it, promising all the support she and her child would ever need.  She was six months along when Grace and her two young children were killed in a horrific car accident.  Seth survived, but he wasn’t the same.  Nothing was the same.
Southern Jewel Events died with Grace Jansen.  Marjorie went back to work at the Layton’s restaurant, doing all she could to support Grace’s grieving parents as they mourned the death of not only their daughter, but also their two grandchildren.  A few months later, she gave birth to her son, Charles.  Jorie leaned heavily on her family in those first few years, and just as she had done for them, her parents and siblings stepped up to help her in every way they could in her time of need.  Dawsons, for better or worse, are always there for one another.  Once Charlie was old enough to begin school, Jorie refocused herself on salvaging what remained of her career aspirations.  The Laytons, who had become like a second family to her, made Marjorie an offer she couldn’t refuse; they wanted her to take over the family restaurant.  She did, and though it felt bittersweet to inherit the mantle that should have gone to Grace and her children, Jorie resolved to honor her dear friend’s legacy.
Three years ago the Layton’s restaurant officially re-opened under its new name, an old homage to Grace’s memory; Southern Jewel. Serving up contemporary southern fare in a charming, elegant country atmosphere, it is well regarded by locals and often considered about as close to fine-dining as one is likely to find in Wolford, Tennessee.  Marjorie is a near-constant fixture, working behind the scenes in the kitchen and mingling with guests in the main dining room.  She’s known around town for her bright, effervescent southern charm; always appearing prim and put together, and has a penchant for remembering names, faces, and everyone’s correlating gossip.  Jorie is characterized by a generous, hospitable nature, but is fiercely protective of her family; Charlie in particular.  Like any proper southern belle, she’ll wear a smile and mind her manners even as she verbally eviscerates someone.  Mama Dawson raised a lady, after all.
