i only come on here to spread propaganda that u should let ivy adopt your muse but it got long so it’s mostly under the cut!

perks:

dracanar do not leave their children even after they have had their own / moved out of their home and will always be a call away for support, help or anything else. she is the first person you should call if u need to hide a body, literally anything u need help with!! world domination or whatever else. shes here for u and will help you!!

you get baby dragon siblings who love you?? and are essentially small felines that love cuddling and want to listen to any stories you offer them, mundane or not it’s all exciting to them because they’ve never met a mortal before!!

ivy would sooner die than kick you out for coming out to her for anything, trust me when i say that you can trust her with anything and she will take it to her grave if you want her to && offers any support she can, money is nothing to her anyways with the wealth she has procured over thousands of years.

incredible storyteller and can sing / play any instrument you want and provide so many cuddles. the dracanar knew the secrets of the best hugs was just more arms. why do you think ivy has four in her hybrid form?? huh?? anyways. she will never shame you for wanting affection no matter how old or young you are.

you need a rare natural resource? done, be it an ore or a plant - she can make it and will even give you rare plants and ores she made for ssetsìay’s landscape.

ultra protective to a fault. maybe kind of possessive should you not want a soul bond so she can find out when you’re hurt/in danger and come to help, but she really is just. concerned and wants to be there for you, always.

big dragon thats like 300ft and will roar at people if they’re rude / speak over you.

you get dragon rides, free of charge and the means to braid and mess with ivy’s hair whenever you want, even if you make a mess out of it she loves it and will leave it like that for the entire day. thank you *actually in tears, probably*

downsides:

you have like. well over a thousand siblings. who some of which are probably a little jealous, but they’re also going to hunt you down if you hurt or use ivyanne.

soul bonds are kind of mandatory the older you get, as she really does fear losing her loved ones to time and will be incredibly sad if you decide not to, but will understand - even if she is going to be distraught for ages over the rejection and inevitable death.

dracanar culture prioritizes physical affection like cheek kisses, cuddling and nudging eachother with stuff like wings or tails and even went as far as to sleep in piles for safety.. while she does understand if you are uncomfortable with such and will never push your boundaries once they are established, she still has a tendency to hover nearby, unfortunately.

ivyanne will undoubtedly make mistakes and misunderstand certain things because she is not human but she is trying her best to be there and help you, no matter what.

Gender identities are entirely nonexistent among dracanar.

That isn’t to say that the dracanar don’t use them, more a rather just that they as a species are genderless and never had gendered terms in their language, for the vast majority of them fall underneath the nonbinary category or simply do not care whatsoever and use any.

For example, the proper titles for Ivyanne would be ‘delafarin’ which would loosely stand for, empire flora. as she is neither the emperor or empress, she is the entire empire’s namesake and legacy as it’s ruler. Despite this commonly neutral status, Ivyanne herself, identifies as demigirl and uses neutral & feminine terms.

This also extends unto her fondness for the feminine human terms, such as mother / mom, but not particularly for the neutral terms that dracanar often employ and she asks her kids to use them instead.

also if you refer to a dracanar with the wrong pronouns intentionally after they’ve given you their pronouns, regardless of what they look like, in their culture it’s fully within their rights to kill you for the insult.

        almost immediately she smiles as her attention is caught on the collection of flowers. she has always loved the flora that Teyvat has to offer throughout it’s lands. ( they remind her of simpler times. ) but also of a way to endure hardships offered by the world, to best any environment and still be ever so delicate & beautiful.

       finally does her attention divert from the vase to evie. “Thank you for the gift, I will treasure it.” a pause as her hand hovers near a bright red flower, lifting it up to place it carefully into the girl’s hair, cautious of brushing into her scalp. “There, I believe it looks just as beautiful as you are.” and both as priceless as the other in lifebringer’s eyes.

Ivyanne’s role and history within Genshin Impact!

All of this is subject to change, but I want to be clear for interactions!

Touches upon death as a content warning.

Ivyanne was likely believed to be a god during the archon war as very little was known about the dracanar and even less of their true nature & particularly what wasn’t a god. She was known as Avrarin, a word for destruction in their language. This also plays into the creation of a weapon to kill gods in the archon war, long forgotten in her care.

Eventually this results in her supposed death at the hands of a god, but in truth she simply goes into hiding with the rest of her kind & ends her parents to take over as one of ten leaders among dracanar, ensuring the safety of her offspring and family to prevent any further tragedy taking place when they had lost so much in the archon war.

The dracanar have split off into factions as a result of this, even now.

Ivyanne holds the current largest faction due to their reclusive nature and simply as a result of her children being taught to be cautious of outsiders & to never to settle down in any of the lands ruled by gods.

While for the time being, there has been no conflict over the fact some do not see it as fair that they should be forced into hiding as a result of their loss in the archon war / wish to start another despite the destruction it would likely bring to the landscape & elements.

These dracanar are among the abyss order’s ranks, waiting for now.

Now she has a choice as the era of archons ends, to either allow the era of mortals to flourish - or allow her children freedom that they want and to not live in fear of any who would dare harm them, ever.
