Like, Saracen Rue has no magical ability, he’s just super good at lying and like crazy smart so his guesses are always right… You can’t change my mind.

Theory that Valkries new magic is just that; magic. I believe that true names are more like lenses ,rather than channels of magic, that focused magic into more distinct forms, hence different disciplines. Valkyrie now has a gaping hole where that “lense” used to be and that now magic is jus flowing through that hole, raw and unrefined. I think that Valkyrie is channeling pure magic, which might explain why she could combat darquess’s magic. But this is just an idea.
