“You should’ve, yes. I mean, I could be a minority of people, there could be loads of who their homework. I’ve just been… Pre-occupied.” The brunette replied. “Let me guess, some kind of detention or punishment for not doing it?”
Tumblr media
“Giving you a detention is such a strange concept, as then it takes up more of my time. I’ve never understood it.” Helene shrugs. “While I can’t take back my syllabus posting on there being no late policy and deductions, I must remind you that if it isn’t turned in, the zero is going to affect your more.”

Asher nodded as he listened prior to giving a small shrug, taking a few moments of his own to think over what can be used to get that assignment unstuck. “Odds are, I’m probably just having a minor lapse in memory and can just use water. After all, it’s called the universal solvent for a reason,” he answered.
Tumblr media
“And the paper will survive water?” She gives a little laugh, although she is also interested. If he has managed a bigger breakthrough in the lab than she thought, then she was duty bound as his teacher to encourage that breakthrough forward.

“Thank you.” He smiled tiredly. “Rising the fact that I might sound like a third grader, I’m only saying this once. I can’t find my mom.” He grinned, he had been all over the place and can’t seem to find person who know or even had an inkling on where Natasha was. Maybe He should find Clint. “Other than that- I think it could be worse.”
Tumblr media
“Can’t find her as in immediate concern, or just a general need to talk to her.” She pushes her book aside, leaning forward. A little bit of an interest, and a creepy worry by the virtue of his worry. “Perhaps I can be of assistance, if you’ve got a little wiggle room in just when you need her.”

“Okay, what if I was to say that I did a random science experiment for fun, accidentally made an adhesive that I forgot was really sticky and now my assignment is pretty much stuck to my desk for a few days until a solvent can be safely applied?”
Tumblr media
A deep breath, a moment with her eyes closed, focusing on those threads of the future, of the visions that she could see. Imperfect, but she could trace her coming interactions with him, to flashes of light and moments.                     “I’d say that’s very much likely a solvent that you won’t be able to find.”

“How believable is it if I say that I lost my bag, homework included?” She asked, knowing it sounded made-up but it was the truth. Not that there was really any way to prove it had happened, but chancing it seemed like the only option.
Tumblr media
“That’s quite unfortunate.” On other lips, it would have seemed sarcastic and unbelieving. But Helene can believe the excuse, because of the glimpses she’d had of this moment. “How about you just tell me about it instead? Let me know what you thought about the reading?”

Emily startled and hummed as she searched her mind for a good excuse. “I… forgot where I put it but I swear it’s done?” she tried, giving the history teacher a sheepish smile.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Well then,” with a sweet smile and a gentle voice, Helene shrugs. “You should be able to give me an oral summary of the reading, yes? Why don’t you tell me what you thought was the most interesting point?”

“Clearly you don’t know the story and I came here to get some piece and quite like hell that did” he replied with a shrug of the shoulders as he huff the last of his cigarette “whatever, you must know by now I don’t do as I’m told” he blankly said with an eye roll.
Tumblr media
“And you must know I’m oh... What’s the phrase I've heard used? A stubborn bitch who won’t leave students alone?” In more, there was always students who needed a little bit more of a push. And Helene was willing to be the bleeding heart who gave them constant chance after chance.

“Brooklyn.”           A long sigh, and a drawn out breath in which she tries to balance herself. “You’re a legal adult. I can’t make you do anything. But why, may I ask, do you attend this school if you hate us all?”

“Yeah no thanks I rather pass and just sit here in the white but you can clearly piss off, I don’t need you or my parents nagging at me right now” Brooklyn stated as he rolled eyes staring into space as he let out his cigarette and sighed “you’re still here? Didn’t I already tell you to piss off” he said as he stood up and faced the older women who was now in front of him.
Tumblr media
“You did. But frankly, the only person I’ll ever listen to when he tells me to fuck of is a whole lot scarier than you.” Looking away, she turns her eyes to the sky, almost ignoring him if it wasn’t for the fact that she keeps talking to him. “Now maybe call me ignorant, or annoying, or just another adult trying to tell you how to live your life, but really Brooklyn? Skipping school to smoke? Isn’t that a bit too anti-drug video cliche?”

“Sorry.” Ben was in an over his head- he just hated the fact that somehow he couldn’t find the people he was looking for and was not resigning to just giving up. He pulled out a pack of smoke in his pocket. “Do you mind if I smoke here?”
Tumblr media
“Go right ahead.” She waves her hand, and sits back. A magnanimous queen, choosing to share her space with someone who so clearly has interrupted. The moment of enjoyment has been broken anyways, she’s lost the thread of the translation. “Tough day?”

Lately, Brooklyn had found himself in more trouble then he bargained for, right now he was supposed to be in dentation but instead he’s currently sitting on the field smoking to calm himself down, he sighed as he felt a presence nearby him “If you’re here to lecture me about behaviour and skipping class, then please kindly piss off I’m not in mood to be lectured right now” he said to the figure that growing closer to him.

Chasing after students was easy when you saw a day before hand that they were going to skip out and head to the field. “Well now, I’m not sure about lecturing,” she says, and her voice is light and friendly. The smell of smoke makes her nose close up, unpleasant scent that it is, lingering in the air, ad enforcing a certain distance between them. “How about a debate about whether this is a high school or a university with mostly adults, who can make their own choices about class? Most of my students seem game for that.”
