Someone commented “Que hubiera pasado si Mariana le hubiera leído las cartas a Armando”. Now I can’t stop thinking about it. I wonder how different the story would’ve been.

One thing for sure is that Mariana would definitely see that Betty and Armando are soulmates 😌

This scene has always been funny to me cause Betty wasn’t only fantasizing about Armando finding her attractive but ALSO Mario, LMAOO my girl is so real for that

Not lying when I say I’ve watched this moment a bazzilion times, including frame by frame, yet I still have no idea how JEA managed to deliver the sexiest I’m So Mad 😾 door slam without accidentally killing himself. I’m not even sure how the hell he entered the office because yes, the door must have been closed-over for him to grab it like that but the way this is shot (cut from Betty in the dead-silent office to Armando already bursting in to the sound of dramatic music) really does make it seem like he was immaculately conceived in there by the God of Anger and Sexy.

(and then you learn the reason Armando activated his rage-powered teleportation skills isn’t even because Betty just deliberately cost him everything; it’s because she never confronted him about the Letter 😭)

PS:

So this door just has the least effective closing mechanism in existence. Armando really wasn’t lying when he said he enjoys living on the edge by making out in that office

Fucked myself up thinking about the fact that during the events of most of the movies Sulu and Chekov both just. Have kids back home.

Do you think they bonded over that? Talked about how much more terrifying everything is now, because dying isn’t just dying anymore, it’s your kid losing a dad? About how much more important their work feels too, to make sure their world is safe and worthwhile for their kids to grow up in?

Do you think, in near-death moments, they thought about their children? Hoped Demora and Anton could forgive them if they never made it home?

Do you think Demora and Anton were friends? Do you think they went to school and proudly told everyone that their daddies work in space? Do you think they got to talk to their dads on subspace like some kind of FaceTime call?

I like to think so.

Recently I have been daydreaming quite a bit about fics involving Chekov and Sulu being dads together (and Uhura is the kids' auntie of course). I think Chekov and Sulu are uncles to each other's kids, and Demora and Anton consider themselves cousins. Also poor Pavel is an absolute mess once Anton is born because he has no idea what to do with a baby, so Sulu helps him out quite a bit.

I also desperately need to write the fic where Chekov decides to name his son Anton and somebody (probably Uhura) has to break it to him that there's already someone named that. I might be the only person on the planet that finds that funny, but it's hilarious to me.
