personal update + why I haven’t written anything or answered asks.

Er…long time no see. I’m going to be upfront. I’m sucky with keeping stories going, I know. I’m so sorry.I’ve not been updating due to my GCSEs - which I finished about two months ago, so I can’t really use it as an excuse.Well, that’s why I wasn’t updating at first.The second reason, and the reason I haven’t updated for months on end - years, for some of my works, is due to unresolved depression and suicidal issues that have been eating me up. I can’t even get the motivation to get out of bed. I’m only just 16, and I know it’s no excuse. But it shouldn’t be this bad, right?It’s getting better, though. I told my parents about the depression and suicidal thoughts last month, and they agree that I have it. My mother is a nurse and my dad suffered from depression too, so I can trust their judgement. I’m lucky that they’re supportive. I’m in a better place now, and I want to start writing again. It was always the one thing that gave me joy, the joy of creation. I don’t want to let any of you down, everyone here who has been so supportive and such avid readers. I’ve been suffering for at least 5 years. I found a journal from when I was twelve where the pages were just scribbled on saying ‘I want to die’ over and over again. I self harmed at the age of thirteen. I need to get myself together, and I’m on the track to doing that. I love you all a lot and I am so sorry. I can’t even express it.Some of my works were written when I was 14 and they need revising completely. I’m going to update everything ongoing I have with this message, including blogs.Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me. You’re all wonderful and I’m so sorry I let you all down. I hope none of you are mad at me, or think I’m faking. I’d like to hear from you all. I’m going to make more of an effort. Thank you <3

Alright so

I know that most people think that Laurens was strictly gay but (it be self centred for me to say) maybe he was demi instead and ham was one of the only ones that he ever actually had that strong of a connection with? Because of his upbringing and his manipulative father he probably didn’t trust that many people so it would make sense that he didn’t trust enough people to make that connection with and then comes the war and he and ham end up just clicking and they like help each other in battle and at camp and stuff and Laurens used to think he probably couldn’t actually love or feel like that towards anyone and then he makes the connection with Alexander and he just sort of pauses one day as he looks at Alex writing his little heart out across the tent and mutters “well shit”

i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

southern europe is burning. 

my country is burning.

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?
