Granny Weatherwax
She's good but not nice, she's a witch, in the maiden/mother/crone trio she's the crone, she's powerful and intelligent (although not booksmart), she's an inspiration and a terror to everyone in Discworld.
The Hag ‘o Hags, she is the leader of her small coven in Lancre holding the role of “crone”.
She’s saved the world many times, with tea and bees and other haggish delights.

Propaganda under the cut.
Granny Weatherwax:
Granny Weatherwax is a witch. Witches don't have leaders, because Granny Weatherwax never allow that sort of thing. She knows that she is the most dangerous thing in this dark forest. She is extremely good at what she does. She is kind, but not nice. She helps her community, cures people with potions and psychology, and she is an extremely practical person. She watches herself very closely to make sure she never strays from her own moral compass. There’s no harsher judge of Granny Weatherwax than Granny Weatherwax. Here are some quotes from the books: Granny’s implicit belief that everything should get out of her way extended to other witches, very tall trees and, on occasion, mountains. Granny Weatherwax was not a good loser. From her point of view, losing was something that happened to other people. Many people could say things in a cutting way. But Granny Weatherwax could listen in a cutting way. She could make something sound stupid just by hearing it. “I did start out in witchcraft to get boys, to tell you the truth.’ ‘Think I don’t know that?’ ‘What did you start out to get, Esme?’ Granny stopped, and looked up at the frosty sky and then down at the ground. ‘Dunno,’ she said at last. ‘Even, I suppose.”
Starlight Glimmer:
She ran a whole cult town on her own! She learned a complicated, powerful time travel spell to get her revenge, taking down the world in the process! She later becomes headmare of a large school! She was better when she had bangs. She has a girlfriend! Go listen to ‘say goodbye to the holiday’!

Havelock:
Lord Vetinari, I'm sure, requires no introduction. A man who slithered through government like the adder slithering towards your ankle. A man who took a harsh, brutal city and turned it into a harsh, brutal city that works. No matter how much you love him or hate him, he is indispensable.
He prefers reading sheet music over listening to it. He keeps Leonardo da Vinci prisoner in his attic. He keeps an axe stuck in the middle of the council table and calls it a 'conversation piece'. He makes a con man fix the post office so he can play long-distance chess with a vampire milf. He weaponizes politeness, staring and sarcasm. He gets drunk once and talks about skunks. What's there not to love?
Samwise:
According the appendices of The Return of the King, Sam was elected Mayor of the Shire for almost fifty years straight (!) after his return from the quest to Mordor. And why not? As anyone can attest, but his companions in the Fellowship of the Ring would insist, you couldn’t ask for a better leader of Hobbits or a more loyal friend. When Sam was tempted by the most powerful evil force in the world, all it could come up with was a vision of him growing the most wonderful garden ever seen. Over his seven seven-year terms as mayor, no doubt Sam did this, keeping the Shire peaceful and bountiful.

Vivi:
When her country was drifting towards civil war, she infiltrated the organization responsible to find out more and spent 2 years rising through the ranks (she was 14 when she started, 16 when she stopped). When she was eventually found out, she recruited a group of pirates to help her take down the leader instead. She always puts her people first and would do anything to protect them, even sacrificing her own happiness and the chance at the adventure of a lifetime.

#this is from a discworld blog so I wouldn’t expect them to know everything
For clarity, I reblog any poll someone sends me that involves Discworld in some capacity, my own opinions notwithstanding. I don't go here in FMA but I know my friends who do like her :)

Propaganda under the cut.
Riza Hawkeye:
The best sniper in the Amestris military and the common sense of Team Mustang. Would be a war criminal if there was a geneva convention equivalent in Fullmetal Alchemist. Her goal is to make the things she did in the Ishval civil war illegal and face trial for them. Fights with guns in a setting with monsters and people with alchemy magic.

Jiang Cheng:
he was raised as a heir from childhood, but for the times of peace. So when the war started and his home was razed to the ground, nobody the fuck expected this teenager (late teens but still) whose Clan was almost completely decimated to be able to rally people and bring them under his banner and become a major force in the war. How did he convince people to follow him? Who knows! Not our POV character so not us either, but the fact is that he did. He managed to make people believe in him and join his cause when he had nothing to his name, not even the territories that should've been his, as they had to be retaken from the enemy first. And retake them he did!
So he comes out of the war with his Clan restored to the status of one of the major players in the cultivation world, though they still have the weakest position among the four Great Clans due to having lost, yknow, everything they had before, unlike the others. In the next few years, lots of shit happens to Jiang Cheng, including losing even more of his family - his sister and the man he considered brother (the latter kinda caused the sister's death, adding to how much of a blow this was for Jiang Cheng). Nevertheless, 13 years later, when the POV character re-enters the world, Jiang Cheng is not only still a leader, he also went from the youngest and most inexperienced Clan Leader with the weakest political position, to someone of such renown and power that he is considered the person one must avoid offending at all costs. He had completely restored his Clan, its land, and its reputation. While also semi-parenting his orphaned nephew on the side.
