It was a sunny day outside mirabel was 8 years old she put on her dress glasses shoes and said good morning to her mom and dad her Tia and tio and They where the MADRIGALS they had a routine  Since mirabel didn’t have a gift she would play with the other kids and her mom and dad would get her “ hey mirabel wanna hear a joke?” Said one of the townskids “sure I would like to!” Said mirabel “ sometimes I wanna YEET myself out a ciff” “heheeheheheeh” mirabel was young she didn’t know what it meant!!

It was dinner time as soon as they all sat down and said their grace “ hey guys wanna hear a joke?” “Go on hunny” said juileta “ sometime I want to YEET myself off of a ciff!!” The whole family looked at her with shocked expressions Pepa was started to thunder Felix was trying to calm her down Agustin was terrified juileta was trying not to cry alma was full of fear the whole family was SHOKE Camilo was didn’t understand him and mirabel was the only ones laughing after dinner mirabels parents walked to her room “ mirabel mi vida” said juileta no answer “miraboo!” Said Agustín and there was mirabel “sí mami papi?” We need to talk Mija said Agustín they entered her room the sat on her bed and mirabel asked “ what is it?” It’s about the “joke” you told at dinner “ what about it I thought you liked it” her parents watched as tears stared to form in her eyes “mirabel it hurt me and you papi to hear you talk like that about yourself” said juileta “yes it really does my and mommy where VERY hurt by that comment” mirabel started to sob and and juileta picked her up and put her on her shoulder and Padded her back in a fast motion “ mi amor promise me and papi that you will never talk like that ever again “ I promise!!” Mami sobed mirabel “ do you wanna sleep in me and mamis room tonight?” Asked Agustín “sí” said mirabel as she sobbed more that 5 minutes later mirabel was tucked in her parents bed nice and cozy.
