ooh la la //mackaaron
surprising mack with a train ticket to paris had been one of the best ideas he’d ever had. aaron’s plan was very simple, they would spend christmas eve at their hotel, making cookies and eating something from room service. and christmas day would be spent in disney paris. their hotel had the best view to the eiffel tower and that much was clear as they stepped into their hotel suite and it was visible through through the glass door that the tower was almost right outside their balcony. “okay, paris for a few days. if we want to do new years here though, we can totally stay.” he murmured with a small smile as he set their suitcases down on the ground.
mack was on cloud nine. she'd made a habit of pinching herself because even after all this time, she truly couldn't believe that she had actually gotten this lucky when it came to aaron windsor. she was on a train to her favorite place in the whole world, alongside the man that she loved most. it didn't get any better than this. mack grinned widely at his words, shaking her head slowly as she admired everything around them. almost like a child in complete awe in a toy store. "if you leave it up to me we'll never leave."
aaron laughed a little at her words, leaning down to kiss her cheek gently. “well, i’d love that but i would have to find a club around here.” he said as he grabbed her hand to begin leading her to the balcony so she could see their view. “i wanted you to have your favorite thing on earth as close as possible. hope you like it.” he murmured softly, opening the door to their balcony easily and letting her step out.
mack hummed thoughtfully at his words, placing a hand on his chest as he leaned down to kiss her cheek. "now, that's an idea," she murmured with a small smile. she immediately laced their fingers together when he took her hand, beginning to follow him out into the balcony. she was ready to reassure him that she would love it, but as soon as she stepped out onto the balcony she gasped. "oh my god," mack breathed out alone at how close they were to the Eiffel tower. "oh my god."
aarón stepped out with her, moving to stand behind her and kissing the back of her head before he slipped his arms around her. “i know. it’s beautiful, right?” he smiled softly, leaning his head against hers and sighing in content.
mack nodded easily, immediately leaning back into him as his arms slipped around her. "aaron, its incredible." mack breathed out. she could remember being young, in her tiny room that was hardly even the size of their closet now, with dreams of traveling the world. they'd all come true because of aaron. she turned around in his hold with this in mind, immediately wrapping her arms around her neck to hug herself tightly to him. "i love you. i love you so much. thank you for everything. every little thing, my adonis."
aaron grinned widely as she turned around in his hold, resting his hands on her hips. “of course, babe. merry christmas, becks.” he mumbled as he leaned in to kiss her lips quickly before he pulled back to get a good look at the tower in front of them. “all of this doesn’t compare to having you in my life.”
mack reciprocated the brief kiss before leaning in for another and humming softly in content. "merry christmas, love," mack whispered, kissing him one last time before she turned back to look at the tower once again as he did. "hm, not even a little?"
“nope. not at all. are you kidding?” aaron nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck, hugging her tightly and dropping a few kisses against her skin. “you’ve made me the happiest man on earth for more than five years now, princess. in paris, in london, in new york, in california, in maryland. i could be anywhere, but i’m never my happiest if i’m not with you.”
"well, good. that means that we're on the exact same page, then," she assured him, humming softly in content as he nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck. she shivered slightly as he placed a few kisses to her skin, her hands moving to rest on top of his arms. "babyboy," mack breathed out breathlessly. paris, his words against her neck, his arms around her? mack would have died happily right then and there. "i'm --" blushing. after all this time, he still managed to make mack blush. she giggled at herself, shaking her head slowly as she dropped her head. "i need you to stop or i might cry."
aaron pulled back a little to look at her as she cut herself off. he cupped the side of her neck and then chuckled as she hid in his neck again. “hm. don’t cry, baby.” he nuzzled his nose against her hair and breathed her in. “come here, i wanna kiss you.” he said in a small whisper, smiling a little.
it wasn't even a second that passed before mack turned around in aaron's hold and pressed her lips to his. her hands moved to rest on either side of his neck as she took her time with the kiss, trying to make up for where words failed her. often when to aaron these days, she was at a complete loss for words.
aaron smiled softly as soon as she kissed him, reciprocating the kiss eagerly as usual. they had been together for so damn long, but it still felt like the first time every single time. like he couldn’t get enough of her and aaron knew that would never change, there was no way. “i love you so fucking much.” he whispered into the kiss as he pulled her even closer to him of that was possible at this point.
mack let a soft hum emit from her lips onto his as she let her head fall to the side, wasting no time deepening the kiss. it wasn’t foreign to mack to do so these days, which was surreal in itself. mack was simply very adamant about giving aaron the love she felt he deserved. and then some. “i love you, baby.” She breathed out breathlessly after he had, jumping up onto him as he pulled her even closer, her legs wrapping around his middle.
honestly, five years ago, mack would have never done anything like this. it was so important to aaron that she felt so good about them that she took initiative regarding everything now. even if it was something as small as deepening a kiss or jumping into his arms without a warning was enough to make a shiver run down his spine. groaning playfully as he easily picked her up, tilting his head to the other side to deepen the kiss even more one of his hands cupping her neck as he did so. “babe, jesus.” he mumbled against her lips, sighing in content as he did so.
mack always jumped because she new aaron would always catch her. always. not only physically, but mentally, too. so when it came to aaron, it was always easy for her to jump. it always would be. mack giggled into the kiss at his words, wrapping herself around him tightly as her head fell to the opposite side. “i —“ mack forced out, not wanting to break the kiss but also wanting to speak up. “i need to give you,” she paused again in between the kiss. “your present.”
aaron smiles into the kiss when she began to speak up, barely understanding what she was saying since they were obviously thinking about something else. he kissed her for longer and then pulled back to stare over at her gently. “i can’t believe i just stopped that. wow.” he mumbled as he leaned his forehead against hers. “you got me a present.”
mack couldn't even attempt to stop the groan that escaped her lips as he pulled back, although she didn't let any more distance come between them. she didn't plan on it for the whole trip. she giggled at his words, shaking her head slightly. "it's like we're switching roles here," she breathed out breathlessly before she nodded again. "of course i did. it's nothing compared to this but it's... it's one of a kind, for sure."
aaron laughed softly, shaking his head. “this isn’t your present, please. this is only our vacation.” he murmured gently against her lips as he brought her in for another soft kiss. aaron breathed her in and made sure to keep her safe in his arms as he looked her over. “where do i take you to get this present?”
mack groaned gently at his words, shaking her head. "you do too much for me, my love." mack breathed out, frowning up at him slightly. of course aaron would take mack to paris and tell her that this wasn't even the present. mack reciprocated the gentle kiss, hugging herself to him as she heard his question. "hm, to my purse."
“who else am i gonna do things for, huh?” aaron asked teasingly before he began carrying her back inside, but leaving the door open since he had no doubt that they would come back out sooner than later. he set her down on the couch so she could find her purse. “okay, your purse.”
“i thought this trip was the present, though. i don’t think i’m going to be able to compete.” mack breathed out gently. it was true. mack didn’t exactly work, so holidays were always a bit of a tug or war with herself. she always worried that maybe whatever she was getting him wouldn’t be good enough. it wouldn’t be grand enough. when he set her down she grabbed her purse, immediately retrieving his present and handing it over gently. “merry christmas, my love,” she breathed out, handing the wrapped CD over as she pressed a kiss to his cheek.
aaron frowned a little at her words, shaking his head. “baby, i don’t know why you’d ever think that. i could literally have anything that i wanted, but all i want is you, everything else that you give me is just extra.” he told her easily, smiling when she kissed his cheek. aaron was curious now, mack usually kept to very emotional things but this seemed small and cute. he shook it a little bit close to his ear and grinned. “damn. what is this?” he asked playfully before he moved to unwrap the present, eyes going wide. “ohmygod. is this a new song?”
mack’s features softened at his words and she moved to sit right next to him, facing him entirely. again, she had no idea how she’d gotten so lucky. “you really think so? i could never do anything like this for you, aaron,” mack almost whispered shyly, hating to admit that much as she peered up at him through her lashes. mack’s eyes widened as aaron shook the present for a moment, but she ultimately laughed when he unwrapped it. she nodded at his words, leaning over to press a kiss to his temple. “it’s called aaron windsor.”
“i married you and i knew where you came from and it will never matter if you have money or not, either way, i know that all i ever want for christmas is you, my love. besides, you’ve given me the best presents ever. all the time. because whatever you give me, it’s to prove you always know me better than anyone else.” he admitted softly, leaning in to peck her lips softly and then looking back at her intently. “it’s called what?” he asked as he blinked several times, looking back at the cd and then at her. “you named a song aaron windsor?”
mack’s smile grew that much more at Aaron’s soft words to her, knowing that they were sincere. she was lucky. god, was she lucky. she threw her arms around his neck and placed several kisses to  the side of his face, before leaning forward slightly to place on against his lips. “i love you. i feel the same way, though. youre the gift that keeps on giving, truly.” mack assured him breathlessly before pulling back slightly to focus on the cd. “aaron Windsor,” mack replied casual as ever, nodding easily. “i did. i can’t believe i didn’t do it sooner. we can put it in my laptop?”
aaron’s brain basically shut down when she repeated the name of the song. he’d never even heard of anyone calling a song after someone like that. he hadn’t even heard it yet but aaron already knew this would beat traveling to paris anyway if they were competing. “baby, are you kidding?” he whispered softly, unable to do much apart from staring at her until he finally snapped out of it. “yes, yeah. wow, okay. i’ll put it on.” he said easily, moving to get her laptop from its case eagerly.
mack bit back a smile as she saw aaron's reaction to her words, moving a hand to run it over his hair gently. "baby, i'm pretty sure you just went white. you're not going to faint, are you?" she breathed out gently, her dark eyes scanning all over his face at once. she pointed over to her laptop when he said he would put it on. honestly, mack's heart was feeling as though it were about to beat out of her chest. she could only hope the song would live up to what he was expecting.
aaron chuckled as he set her laptop down on the coffee table and shook his head. “yeah, my brain kind of stopped working for a second there.” he admitted playfully as he put the cd in and then moved to sit next to mack once again, honestly excited. he wasn’t sure if it was about the song or about the fact that mack had finished another one, that she was doing something that she loved to do again. that was priceless. having his wife be truly happy. he smiled softly and kissed her cheek several times as the song began.
mack giggled at his admission, immediately extending her arms out to him as he sat alongside her once again. she wrapped her arms around him, hooking on around his shoulders as she leaned forward to press a kiss to his cheek. from there, she rested her chin on his shoulder. the song had been one of her favorites. most of her songs were about aaron, but naming one after him was something else entirely. if anyone deserved it, it was him.
aaron smiles as she kissed his cheek and then song started, taking his time to listen to it intently while he leaned against her and his hand moved up and down her arms gently, eyes closed. honestly the song started and aaron didn’t even know what to say because she just. put it out all there immediately. he’d never heard anything quite like it, when she mentioned how thankful she was for him. she’d called him a blessing several times, but have it put that way in a song. aaron’s heart was about to get out of his chest, that’s how loud it was going. but the part that he loved most? it was hearing her say she was happy. genuinely happy. aaron knew how much her life had changed, how much she had changed. but somehow, hearing it like that, hearing it in words as easy as no more crying for me, or just being happy now. he could literally cry right now. as the song came to an end, aaron let out a shaky breath and then turned around in mack’s hold to lean over and kissed her deeply, his arms moving around her to lift her up into his lap as he did so. there were no words for what he was feeling right now.
mack held onto aaron tightly as they listened to the song together, her eyes fixating on his face. she couldn’t help but smile as he closed his eyes, taking in that moment entirely for what it was. she could feel his heartbeat as she leaned against him, hoping that it was a good thing. when it came to an end, she turned to him with soft eyes. she was just going to speak up and ask if he’d liked, but his reaction said it all. mack immediately reciprocated the kiss, moving into his lap with ease and wrapping herself around him once again. she let her head fall to the side to deepen the kiss even more, her fingertips tangling in his hair.
aaron tried to put as much into the kiss as he could. he wasn’t like mack, she was good with words. she had music to show him how he felt, but he always tried. he was at a loss for words as he kissed her with everything that he had, sighing in content and humming as she deepened the kiss even more. “baby,” he whispered against her lips, his words coming out breathy since he was so focused on their kiss. his hand cupped the side of her neck as he moved his lips against hers gently, then moved down kisses down to her neck. “fuck, i love you. i am...i don’t even know what to say, baby.” he said quickly between kisses.
mack pressed herself against him entirely, figuring that this had to be the best response there was. aaron, completely speechless and humbling over his own words. when he moved his kisses down to her neck, mack let a small breath emit from her lips as her head fell to the side to give him more space. “you —“ mack paused, entirely too distracted. “you like it?”
aaron breathed her in as he nuzzled his face into her neck, kissing her softly and bringing her even closer as he nodded. he leaned up to kiss her lips one more time. “i love it. i can’t believe you—wrote something like this about me.” he whispered softly. no matter how often mack talked about being lucky, aaron knew he was even luckier. he could never understand why she would pick him, even now. “it’s perfect. i fell from the sky into your lap?” he asked playfully, moving closer to kiss her quickly again. “you’re too much.”
mack rested her legs on either side of aaron so that she could press herself to him completely, sighing softly in content. she reciprocated the sudden kiss, always more than happy to do so. she laughed softly at his words, shaking her head slightly. "you're my muse, baby." mack breathed out gently. whenever it came to songwriting, she always came back to aaron. always. she nodded eagerly as he repeated the lyrics, leaning up to kiss him quickly several times after he did so. "*got me happy, happy. imma be happy, happy," mack sang easily, a wide grin on her lips as she did so.
aaron chuckled as she called him her muse, finding that too precious to begin with and then he slipped his fingers into the belt loops of her jeans to bring her even closer, kissing her back every single time. he groaned a little as she sang for him, shaking his head at himself because he really didn’t know how to react. “and no more crying?” he asked softly as he looked back at her intently.
mack couldn’t even move closer to aaron as he tried, but him pulling her that much closer made her heart melt. they could never get enough of each other. ever. “won’t get no crying from me,” mack sang gently, nodding once to confirm her own words. it was true. with aaron, what was there to be upset about?
aaron’s face was soft as she sang again and he smiled widely, leaning over to kiss her softly as ever. “that means everything to me, windsor.” he murmured softly, leaning his head against hers and sighing in content. “you’re perfect.”
mack’s smile couldn’t grow any bigger as he referred to her by her new last name, pressing several kisses all over his face. she shook her head slightly at his words, fingertips gently massaging his scalp. “i love you, sweetheart.”
aaron grinned widely at her words, his jose nudging hers before he kissed her again softly, slowly. “i adore you, baby.” he whispered gently against her lips. “i can’t believe you’re mine. i can’t believe you feel that way about me at all.”
mack nudged her nose back against his gently, her hands moving to Cup his face gently as he kissed her. her heart was melting at every single word that left aaron’s lips, trying to wrap her mind around it all. “of course i do,” she mumbled against his lips. “you’re he most incredible person i’ve ever met.”
aaron hummed a little and slipped his arms around her completely as she leaned up, feeling shivers run down his spine. unconditional love was never something that aaron had but for the past five years he’d learned how beautiful it was and it was because of mack. he leaned down to kiss her neck again, then her lips softly. he didn’t even know what to say. “you have made me the happiest man in the world.”
mack held onto aaron tightly with no intentions of pulling back any time soon. unconditional love had been something  neither mack nor aaron had received until they'd met each other. the fact that they had both been able to give that to each other was immensely special. they were so fortunate. mack met the kiss against her lips gently, a soft hum of content leaving her lips. "--and i'm the happiest girl in the world all because of you. that's something i never would have been able to say six years ago. everything is different now -- in the best possible way."
aaron smiles softly at her and nodded eagerly. he’d been just a boy when they met, but having mack by his side had been eye opening for him. he knew that he wouldn’t be where he was if it weren’t for her support and for her love for him. they’d been through hell and back and he was grateful for that. thankful that she always chose him, that they were each other’s priorities. “i love you, so so much.” he kissed her nose quickly and then nuzzled his face into her neck gently.
mack nodded easily at his words since she had no doubt about that at all. mack’s whole life had been filled with doubts but aaron had never been one of them. he had been the single constant in her life. god, was she lucky to be loved by such an incredible man. “i know you do,” she was quick to assure him, one of her hands moving to the back of his head gently. “i know,” she murmured again against his ear. “how could i forget the one thing that makes me the luckiest girl in the world?”
aaron chuckled a little at her words before he began kissing her neck gently, then moving to give her a soft kiss on the lips until he finally pulled away enough to look at her intently. “you’re so precious.” he murmured softly, soft eyes meeting hers. “i ordered some hot cocoa and room service for christmas eve dinner, should be here soon.” he told her gently. “and...i wanna talk to you about my job if that’s okay with you?”
mack couldn’t help but giggle as he kissed her neck, since it’d always ticked since day one. she reciprocated the gentle kiss, sighing softly in content as he pulled back slightly. she blushed only slightly at his compliment before she nodded. she was going to thank him for ordering the food when she froze at his words. her eyebrows furrowed and she shook her head slightly. “talk about your job?”
aaron leaned back against his seat when she questioned him about his words, nodding a little and biting down on his bottom lip. “yeah. it’s...been a rough season. as you already know. for the team, this new coach has really got it pretty bad. and i’ve gotten some offers from other clubs. in other countries and stuff.” he murmured gently as he looked back at her intently. “i just wanted to know what you thought about it.”
mack watched aaron intently with concern written across her features. she wanted to make sure that above all, aaron was happy. with his career, with everything surrounding him. his happiness meant everything to her. she frowned at his words,  nodding slowly. she loved madrid but if aaron was having a tough time, she wouldn't force him to stay. besides, their time in madrid had been phenomenal. she didn't want to ruin that. "sweetheart, you know i'll follow you anywhere. absolutely anywhere," mack breathed out, brushing his hair from his face gently.
aaron nodded a little since he knew that would be her answer. it was bittersweet to leave a city that had meant so much to them since moving to it. “i know. i just...this changes your life as much as it does mine, you know? i have offers from english and german clubs, as well as france and italy. but i want it to be a good city for you too, you know? especially now that you’re doing music.” he explained to her gently.
mack nodded her head gently, her free hand rubbing his back gently in an effort to soothe him. "baby, that's why i chose the career i did. i can work from anywhere. you know that. that's why i'm doing this again, my way, remember?" mack asked gently. it was true. mack would go anywhere with him. as long as she had a way to get to wherever she needed to be to eventually release an album, she would be just fine. "where do you want to play, hm?"
“yes, yeah, you’re right.” aaron nodded his head a little bit and then kissed him cheek as he thought about his answer since he wasn’t even sure to begin with. “i’m not sure yet. i have Liverpool and manchester united down as my favorites. i don’t know...but you know i’m from england maybe it’s my chance to play for a british team, you know?”
mack raised an eyebrow at aaron's words. she hadn't even known he was ever considering english leagues but honestly, it would be a bad choice. he would fit right in. either way, mack had always wanted to go to london. it was the land of harry potter, how could she not? "well, it would be super easy for me to do my music in london. besides, we wouldn't have to learn a new language, either." mack murmured as a smile spread across her lips.
aaron bit down on his bottom lip and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear carefully, smiling softly. “yeah, no more spanish. you’ve never been to london right?” he asked her softly since they’d never been in london since he’d never been since meeting her.
mack shook her head at his words. "nope, never," she breathed out gently, honestly getting more and more excited with every passing moment as she really thought about it. "you know in london, they have the warner brothers harry potter studio tour! you can see the great hall, diagon alley, the house he grew up in --" mack rambled quickly, her excitement getting the best of her as her eyes went wide.
“it’s pretty cold over there all the time.” aaron told her with a small frown. to be honest, he didn’t miss england a lot as bad as it sounded. he’d grew up basically in america for the most part and didn’t feel as british as he should. he laughed a little when she began going on and on about harry potter. “baby, ohmygod.”
mack nodded her head gently at his words, leaning forward to press a kiss to his forehead. "and rainy too, right? you know i love rainy days." the more mack thought about it, the more mack truly realized that with aaron at her side she could live absolutely anywhere. anywhere they'd end up for him to play for the best team out there. she grinned widely up at him at his words before her features softened. "you'd be close to where you were born, though. how does that feel?"
aaron nodded his head a little, shifting a little under her and pulling her closer since she was still in his lap. “too much rain. not enough sun.” aaron told her playfully, his hand moving slowly around her back and then he pecked her lips, taking a deep breath. “we would be living close to london but not there exactly.” he said gently, taking a deep breath. “it feels good but also not a good thing to have my parents so close.”
mack shook her head stubbornly at Aaron’s words since she was an absolute sucker for a rainy day. “Your tan will stay, Adonis. There’s never been a point where you’re not tan.” Mack was quick to assure him as a grin came across her lips. “You don’t have to see them if you don’t want to, my love, you know that.”
aaron chuckled a little against her lips and nodded. “football keeps me pretty tan.” he replied easily, shrugging. “you’re pretty damn tan too though.” he reminded her and then tilted his head to the side to look at her better. “do you like manchester or liverpool better though?”
mack pressed a quick kiss to his lips, really just taking advantage of their close proximity. she nodded gently at his words, pressing another kiss to his lips. she really couldn't help herself. "always have been, though." she reminded her gently. her eyebrows furrowed slightly at his words before she shook her head slowly. "i'm not really familiar with either. i've heard more about manchester, though."
“i know. it’s cute. you look really italian.” aaron said teasingly, pecking her lips and then smiled when she kissed him again. he nodded a little, not really knowing much about the cities either. “me neither. i propose we go spend new years week in england, check them out. and decide when we are there.” he said gently, kissing her cheek.
mack giggled at his words, reciprocating the brief kiss before she nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck. she hummed softly in content at his proposal before she nodded eagerly. "that sounds like a wonderful idea." she murmured gently, lifting her head to down at him -- having an advantage sine she was in his lap. "can you meet with each club, too? meet the coaches?"
“i haven’t been to england during new years in a little while but i’ve heard it’s got a really good party scene maybe it is time we do a lil party like we used to.” aaron joked lightly, his arms wrapped around her as he looked up at her. one of the few times she was taller than him. “yeah, of course. so far they’ve just offered some good money and real doesn’t want to let go of me yet, but once we met, and i ask for a change they will take that into consideration. you know it’s not entirely up to me, it’s the clubs decision if they want to sell me or not.”
mack couldn’t help but smile at his words. he had a point. they really didn’t party these days. on the rare occasion they did go out, they were typically entirely too caught up within each other to even pay attention to anything or anyone else. “like we used to?” mack asked teasingly, her features softening as he looked up at her. “i think going is absolutely the first step to making the right choice.”
“yeah, let’s get freaking drunk. let’s dance and let’s go back home and kiss a lot. like in maryland or new york.” he said playfully as he pulled her closer and brought her closer to kiss her again, his hands cupping the sides of her neck. “hm. i know. and whichever one we both like, we can do. i got an offer from juventus too. i mean, turin is an option too. and they have ronaldo now.” he admitted with a small shrug.
mack giggled at his words, her hands moving to his wrists as his hands cupped her neck. "can we just do the kiss a lot part?" mack questioned with a raised brow, moving herself even closer to him. she then snaked her arms around his neck to pull him that much closer, before nodding "thank you for always considering me in the decisions you make," mack breathed out gently. "i just want you at a club that'll make you happy."
aaron chuckled a little at her words, leaning in to peck her lips and to lean his forehead against hers carefully. “yeah? all you want is kissing and only kissing?” he joked lightly, because to be fair he wouldn’t mind just staying in with her all night. that was his best time always and all the time.”well, of course you’re my wife, babe. everything i do, i share it with you.”
mack hummed softly against his lips when he leaned in to peck her lips, nodding her head as much as she could against him when she heard his question. "mhm. that's all i ever want." she was quick to assure him, knowing that he wouldn't mind, either. "not all husbands are like that. not everyone treats their significant others as well as you treat me, you know."
aaron chuckled a little at her words. “i can do with us just making out a lot for new years, yeah.” he joked lightly as he made sure to hold her tightly as he rolled them over gently so she was laying on the couch and he was hovering above her. “well, ours is the way it should be.”
mack giggled at his words, nodding gently as if yo seal their deal. she let aaron move to lay her down on the couch, her arms remaining tightly around his neck to bring him down onto her. “i’m so lucky.”
“hm, i love you so much.” aaron whispered softly, leaning down to kiss her softly and to move closer to her. “i am extremely lucky. even more than you.” he admitted gently.
mack hummed softly in content against his lips, her hands moving to his sides as she reciprocated the gentle kiss. “i know,” she mumbled against his lips before she shook her head stubbornly. “i find that,” mack paused to kiss him again. “very hard to believe.”
aaron grinned as she kissed him again and then again, shaking his head. “it’s very easy to believe. you’re an angel, like literally. i’ve never seen anyone like you ever.” he whispered eagerly, biting down on his bottom lip before he smiled down at her. “do you wanna stay in tonight? kiss a lot, lose all these clothes and tomorrow, we got disney paris waiting on us?”
mack shook her head stubbornly, one of her hands moving to cup the side of his face gently. “i’d never seen anyone like you, either, to be fair. you’re an angel, too, even if you don’t believe it.” she assured him, leaning up to press a kiss to his chin. she couldn’t help but grin at his suggestion before she nodded. “i like the sound of that very much.”
“you are the one who says my head is always in the gutter, please.” aaron reminded her playfully against her lips since he’d barely moved from really close to her. he grinned as she kissed his chin, his hand moving up and down her arms carefully and then kissed her softly and quickly again. “hm, good. we are always in the same page, thank goodness for that.”
“doesn’t mean you have the best heart of anyone i’ve ever met,” mack whispered with such sincerity, desperate for him to believe her. “always.” she reiterated, slipping her arms around his neck and pulling him into her for good this time as she reconnected their lips.
“you’re gonna make me emotional.” aaron whispered softly and it was true. she always made him feel so good about himself and everything that he did. he smirked a little as she pulled him back in for a longer kiss, wasting no time to deepen it eagerly as he shifted a little to lay down between her legs.
mack’s smile grew that much more at his words and she shook her head slowly. “i mean it.” she was quick to whisper back, easily reassuring him of that much. mack let her head fall to the side to deepen the kiss as he had, pulling him that much closer as he laid between her legs.
“i know. thank you for that.” aaron knew no one ever saw him as good as mack thought he was. sometimes they had each other on pedestals but they felt okay. they felt good together. aaron barely pulled back to get rid of his own shirt and then easily picked her up to carry her to their bed, all of this without even breaking the kiss and instead kissing her slowly.
mack hummed softly in response to his words since he didn’t have to thank her at all. She ever would. not for her own honesty. mack’s eyes fluttered open for a brief moment as he pulled back to get rid of his shirt, grinning widely up at him. she giggled against his lips as they kissed once more, wrapping herself around him as he carried her to the bed. “i love you,” she breathed out breathlessly. “i love you so much, adonis.”
aaron smiled as much as he could into the kiss when she giggled. that was one of his favorite things about mack, always. how easy going she was. he couldn’t remember a time when they had been making out or having sex when they weren’t laughing and being loving to each other. he’d. never had than intimacy with anyone until she came along and now that he had it, he cherishes it with everything that he had. “i love you, becks.” he set her down on the bed carefully, lips slowly moving down to her neck as he reached down between them to get rid of her jeans, humming in content against her skin. “i’m fucking crazy about you, baby.” he whispered softly, his hands covering all the new skin slowly after he’d got rid of her bottoms.
mack had always hoped for a love like the one that aaron had given her. she’s been convinced, though, at one point she would never get it. then he came along. he was the most unexpected thing in her life and turned it upside down entirely, in the best way. when aaron set mack down, her head immediately fell to the side to give him that much more space as he kissed her neck. she let a soft sigh of content emit from her lips, her hands moving to massage his scalp. she helped him shimmy out of her jeans, her smile widening that much more at his words, knowing it was the truth.
* the next day *
next morning, mack and aaron were up and already at disneyland paris like he’d promised. he’d never been to disney as much as he had since meeting her but since it was all about spending time with mack, he always enjoyed it. they were sitting down and eating after getting in a few rides when aaron snapped a few pictures of them as they waited for their food. “smile, baby. i gotta show off.”
mack’s cheeks hurt from smiling st this point. she had aaron, she had disney, she had paris. what more could she possibly ask for? she adjusted the ears on top of her head which was when aaron spoke up, causing her to lift her gaze immediately. she grinned widely at him, then immediately leaning over to see. “do i look okay?”
aaron showed her the picture and grinned widely. “of course you do.” he said easily. in his opinion, she always did. leaning his arm on the back of her chair, he leaned in closer to her and looked around them trying to decide what they would do next until he began hearing a few cameras go off. “did you hear that?” he asked her gently as he frowned a little.
mack smiled at the picture, immediately reassured by aaron’s words. she pulled the map of the park out and placed it in front of them, trying to decide where they should go next. “hm,” mack hummed gently at his words before shaking her head. she opened her mouth to speak up, but that was when their order number was called up front. “want me to get it?”
“no, no. i will. don’t worry.” aaron said easily, pecking her lips before he moved to get their food eagerly. this was aaron, he was always hungry. walking back to their table, aaron set their food down and began eating. “so are you having a good time?”
mack couldn’t help but grin after he kissed her lips, nodding gently. she watched intently as he made his way to the counter, but being left alone, mack understood what he was talking about. she looked around to see where the sound was coming from, which was when aaron returned. “yeah,” mack breathes out breathlessly. “i love everything about paris. disney is another bonus.” she assured him with a grin as she began eating, too.
“cool.” aaron said gently. keeping her happy during this time of the year was always important for aaron because he knew she’d never had an easy childhood or an easy life and he always wanted to make sure she was happy, she was content. “and then we are getting to know england!”
mack grinned widely at his words, her free hand moving to his knee while her other hand focused on her food. “what an exciting time, my love,” mack breathed out gently, her hand moving to rest on his back where her hand moved up and down there for a moment. she looked around slowly, taking a deep breath. “i think.. people are taking pictures of us.” she murmured slowly, tensing up slightly.
aaron nodded a little. he was excited but he would also miss madrid a lot and he knew that mack would too. but he was thankful for how much he had learned in a team that he still considered one of the best in the worlds despite the rough time. aaron bit into his food and then looked up when mack mentioned pictures. “what?” aaron looked around hem and tried to figure out where the person was. “that’s-don’t worry, it’s probably just fans.”
mack followed his gaze as he looked up from his food, keeping her eyes fixated on him because she knew that the longer she'd focus on the cameras the more uncomfortable she'd get. she nodded slowly at his words, knowing that he was right but it didn't sit right with her. a part of mack felt like an animal at a zoo, really, knowing very well that someone was taking pictures of her without her knowledge. she shifted slightly in her seat, picking at her food carefully although she stopped eating. she'd lost her appetite.
aaron slipped an arm around mack’s shoulders as if to shield her from the camera but he wasn’t even sure of where they were coming from. with that in mind, he looked down at his wife to find her basically playing with her food. “you wanna go somewhere else?” he asked her gently, figuring if they went somewhere else they would get rid of whoever it was.
mack's eyes flickered from the food in front of her up to aaron and she considered it for a moment, all before she shook her head. "no," she murmured gently, looking around them for a moment before she leaned over to press a kiss to his cheek. "i'm okay. i have you. i'm okay."
aaron frowned a little and then leaned back in for a soft kiss after she kissed his cheek, not really caring that someone was taking pictures. he wouldn’t stop behaving how he usually did. “you sure?”
mack immediately relaxed as aaron kissed her. that was expected, she figured. aaron was the most intoxicating thing to her and she'd meant that in the best way. "certain," she assured him, placing a hand on his cheek for a moment before she went back to her food. she figured she should eat some more, anyway, so she focused on that.
aaron nodded a little and continued eating as she did so. sometimes that happened, getting recognized and having people take pictures of you. aaron knew that it wasn’t fair but there was not much that they could do about it. “sorry about that, babe.” he whispered carefully, keeping his arm around her as he tried to relax.
mack wasn't sure how some people did it. she understood that aaron was famous, sure, even if it sounded weird to her, but they were still people. mack shook her head gently at his words, humming softly as she leaned into him. "hey, no." she assured him quickly. "that is not your fault. it's out of your hands."
“i know, but i also know it sucks babe.” he whispered softly, taking a deep breath. he continued eating though, but kept close to makc just in case. he felt like they would be okay while in disneyland since it was supposed to be a safe place anyway. “let’s just eat and then go get on a ride and lose them, okay?”
mack shrugged her shoulders slightly at his words. maybe she was the one overthinking it, really. "it's okay," she murmured gently, flashing him a small smile in hoped that it would serve as reassurance. "okay." the small smile grew into one that was larger this time, since that sounding like a good plan if she'd ever heard of one. she finished eating quickly, accumulating their trash onto one tray. "hm, full," mack murmured gently, taking one last sip of her water. "ready?"
aaron grinned and kissed her cheek before he went back to finish his food. he always worried about how makc felt about all of it because he knew that she dealt with anxiety and several things that made it all more difficult so he always tried to make sure that she felt comfortable and good. “yeah? me too. honestly.” he patted his stomach playfully and then offered to take the tray. “come on. i’ll take care of that.”
mack grinned at his words, happy to hear it. "you'd never notice, looking at you." mack assured him, giggling as she did so. she thanked him as he took the tray. beginning to stand up. she grabbed the small purse she had for the day and put it over her shoulder, grabbing the park map that she'd placed down earlier. it was when aaron left her side to go to the nearest trash can, that the ones taking several pictures of both mack and aaron approached him. "aaron windsor? can we get a picture with you? we're all huge fans."
“please, my abs are proof of nothing of you’ve ever seen me eat an entire chocolate cake when you make it.” aaron retorted teasingly, moving to lean over to peck her lips as she have him the tray. aaron got rid of the trash and set the tray down when he heard someone call out to him. “hey, um, sure. i’ll take one, guys. i’m on vacation with my wife.” he explained gently as he moved to pose with them since he figured mack would be safe at the table.
the family quickly moved around aaron, despite his wishes all rotating out to ensure that they each got one with him. that attracted attention, though. they were in one of the restaurants for crying out loud, there were people everywhere and it didn't take long before people put two and two together. there was another family, then another, all asking aaron for pictures or even video messages, asking him to say hello to friends at home.
aaron was not happy. and while he was usually nice, aaron began saying no as soon as he saw a crowd around him. “no, sorry guys.” he said quickly as he shook his head. “i’m kind of busy right now. please let me enjoy the day.” he explained easily as he moved away from one person after they took their picture and trying to figure out where he was standing to try to find mack once again. “damn. excuse me, guys. i need to find my wife. no more pictures, thank you. no more pictures.”
it didn't take long for mack to notice the commotion. if she had to be viewed by fans as the possessive girlfriend for dragging aaron away from fans, she would gladly do it. this was ridiculous. he was person, he shouldn't be objectified in the way that he was. seeing it from the outside looking in, absolutely made mack panic. she made her way to the back of the crowd, trying to make her way through and failing. everyone was too stubborn, seeming to think that she was just a fan pushing her way to the front. "aaron," mack called out desperately, trying to maneuver around people to where they could see each other. the longer that went on, the more mack began to panic. it was written all over her face, especially when people came to realize who she was.
aaron was definitely annoyed now and to be honest, he’d given them time. if these were paparazzis he would have already called them out. but now as he asked people to let him get out and they didn’t, aaron let out a deep breath. “guys, i’ll have to call security. i’m asking you all to let me find my wife. so please, step away.” the tone of his voice wasn’t nice as he almost pushed through the crowd until he finally saw mack, almost desperately. “baby. i’m here baby. hey, i’m here.” he said quickly as he wrapped his arms around her to shield her from everyone else.
when mack finally saw aaron's face when he emerged through the crowd, she let out a deep breath. she immediately wrapped her arms around him, nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck as if to hide from everyone else. she took several deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down. she wasn't sure why she'd panicked so much. the feeling of trying her hardest to get through everyone to get to her husband and not being able to do so -- well, that was terrifying. "i couldn't get to you," mack mumbled against his neck. it was then that a few of the clear higher ups entered the restaurant, clearly quickly making their way to the couple after getting word that aaron had basically been mobbed. others quickly worked to rid the crowd from them. "mr. windsor, we sincerely apologize," the manager breathed out with a frown. "would you like to come with us? we believe security is perhaps in order."
aaron was relieved when he felt mack completely against him, hugging her tightly and keeping her as close as he could. “i know. i know. i’m right here. i couldn’t get to you either, i’m sorry.” he whispered into her ear, barely noticing that people were finally giving them some space. he made sure to keep mack close as security approached him and he shook his head. “no, no...just take me to our car. we are not doing this without our own security. i just need to get us home now.” he said as he opened his eyes and then looked down at mack. “are you okay? can you walk? so you want some water?”
mack nodded against him. with his arms wrapped tightly around her, his words against her ear, calming down was easy. it always was with aaron. he knew he so well, he knew exactly what she needed to hear. when her breathing returned back to its normal pace, she lifted her head to look up at him and only him. she frowned at his words, shaking her head slowly. "no, aaron. please," mack breathed out breathlessly. she didn't want to go. she didn't want to believe that this had really ruined their whole day here. she nodded at his words, taking a deep breath. "i'm okay. i don't... i don't want to go." mack whispered up to him.
aaron always thought that he could take care of mack but getting mobbed wasn’t something he’d ever thought could happen and he felt helpless even if it had lasted only a little while. “i—are you sure? baby, no one has our backs here i don’t want us to get hurt.” he explained her gently. he was definitely relieved to see that she felt better though. this was the first thing close to a panic attack that she’d had since her therapy sessions had ended and aaron was proud of her. she felt better so soon, he was in awe of her. “you wanna stay?”
mack moved her hands to rest on either side of his neck as she looked up at him intently. that was all she had to do. focus entirely on him and she would be okay. she would be okay. "they can get us security. i don't think it'll happen again if we have people with us," mack whispered up to him. she frowned up at him, nodding slowly at his question. "there's still so much we haven't done." it was true. she wouldn't let what just happened ruin their day. they couldn't.
aaron looked at her intently. he always believed everything that mack said especially regarding all of this if she felt like she could handle it then she would, no questions asked. “you’re right. okay.” he whispered for her ears only, kissing her forehead and then taking a deep breath. “okay, sir. if you can offer us some security we will be able to stay.” he murmured as he looked back the officer.
mack closed her eyes for a moment as he kissed her forehead, moving to hug herself tightly to aaron once again as he spoke with security. she rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes for a moment as she took a moment to ensure that she was truly okay. with aaron? of course she was. the problems always came when she didn't have him. mack opened her eyes only for her eyes to fixate on a small boy and his family, her features softening at the sight. the child, visibly upset and a clear fan of football, who clearly hadn't even gotten to get close to aaron amid all the chaos was being reassured by his parents. that was the part mack hated most, it was the selfishness of people like the ones that had crowded aaron that took away from giving real fans a shot, no matter how small. "aaron," mack murmured gently, lifting her head to look up at her husband.
aaron discusses security for them while he let mack calm down against him. he was in no hurry and honestly he was a little shaken up after everything. he looked back at mack as she called out to him, frowning a little. “what’s wrong babe?” he asked slowly.
mack's eyes remained fixated on aaron intently when he spoke up, shaking her head slowly. "theres a kid over there... he looks really upset that he didn't get to see you." mack let out gently, her eyes scanning over his face carefully.
aaron looked back at mack gently and then raised an eyebrow when she mentioned a kid. aaron looked around and finally saw him with his parents. he nodded a little and excused himself from mack and the security officer. “hey, buddy. do you want a picture with me?” he asked him carefully, offering him a small smile.
mack unwrapped herself from aaron so that he could make his way over to the kid, a small smile coming across her lips as she watched the scene unfold before her. the kid, after recovering from the initial shock of having aaron right before him, immediately lunged forward to hug aaron tightly. he then nodded eagerly against aaron, leaving his mother to shake her head slightly. "sweetheart, be mindful of his personal space.." she let out gently in a warning tone, wanting to be respectful of aaron's space after everything he'd just been through. "i'm so sorry, he's just such a huge fan."
aaron laughed a little as the kid hugged him, shaking his head at his mother. “please, don’t worry. i get it. we got a little overwhelmed early but i always make time for real fans.” he explained easily a he leaned down to pose for a few pictures with the kid. “thanks for supporting me, buddy. it was nice to meet you.” he said easily after hugging the kid.
the kid clung onto aaron for a moment up until he finally pulled back, smiling widely as he stood alongside aaron. anyone watching from a distance to tell that disney didn't even come close to what aaron had just done for the kid. "thank you!" the small boy replied eagerly. mack watched the scene from where she stood alongside security, the ordeal that happened only moments ago quickly forgotten.
“of course.” aaron said easily, watching as the family left before he moved back to mack. “you ready to get in other rides now?” he asked her easily, taking her hand in his as he did so and pecking her lips.
mack smiled up at her husband as he returned towards her, nodding her head eagerly at his words. "more than ready," she breathed out before kissing him back quickly. "thank you for doing that." mack murmured up to him as she pulled back, taking his arm in addition to his hand to keep close to him.
aaron smiled as she thanked him. “of course. thank you for noticing he was there.” he told her gently, grinning as she moved closer to him and then beginning to lead her to one of the attractions as security trailed behind them. “i’m gonna make some calls and get a couple of bodyguards for us, okay? i don’t think it’s safe to be alone all the time for us anymore.”
mack nodded her head easily at his words, squeezing his hand gently as she began following alongside him to the rides. she looked up at him at his words, raising a brow. it would be a huge lifestyle change for both of them, but she knew ultimately it was for the best. "you really think so?" she questioned gently.
“yeah.” aaron said softly. he wasn’t particularly looking forward to it. he liked having alone time with mack whenever he could but he figured security was a must now. between the fans and the paparazzi, he knew it was time. “it’ll be a big change but at least while we are in europe, we will have to do it while people get used to it. especially now if we move to england. football fans go crazy up there.”
mack took a deep breath upon hearing his words before she ultimately nodded. the last thing she wanted was for another incident like this to happen but on a larger scale. it wouldn't be good for anyone. "you're right," mack murmured gently, slipping her hand from aaron's as her arms slipped around his waist. "better safe than sorry, right?"
aaron kisses her cheek and slipped his arm around her shoulders. “i think it’ll be better to be safe yeah.” he admitted softly, biting down on his bottom lip and giving her shoulder a soft squeeze. “i don’t want you going alone anymore, babe. neither of us should.”
mack took a deep breath and relaxed against him as his arm came  around her shoulders, nodding her head against him. she looked up at him as he mentioned not going anywhere along, biting down on her bottom lip for a moment. "how do i... how will i know i can trust security, though? how will i know their intentions are good if it's just... me and some guy i don't know?"
aaron thought about it for a moment, licking his lips. “do you want us to find a female bodyguard? obviously, we will go to the best agency, run their records, make sure that they’re good citizens and ask for references and stuff.” he explained gently, knowing what she meant right away. he would never put mack in danger. he genuinely thought this would only help them out.
mack thought about his words for a moment before she ultimately nodded. "yeah, i'd like that." she breathed out gently. if there was a good approach to the whole thing, it would be that. she took a deep breath before she nodded a little, moving to get in the first line. "that's a good plan." she replied, more confidently this time.
“okay. good.” aaron wanted to ensure safety but also that they were both completely comfortable because this was something that they weren’t sure for how long would be in their lives after all. “we won’t pick someone until we are completely sure too.” he reassured her gently as they waited in line.
mack moved to wrap her arms tightly around his middle, leaning her head against him. "maybe i should just follow you everywhere, then i won't need a bodyguard." she mused, only jokingly, of course, before lifting her head to grin up at him.
aaron chuckled a little and kissed the top of her head. “i love that plan. but i’m getting a bodyguard too, sadly. after this, not even i feel as safe as i could.” he admitted gently, not making a big deal out of it but knowing he had to be honest too. he didn’t know if he could protect himself or her of something similar to this were to happen.
mack knew things were bad if even aaron felt that he needed security to assure his safety. she hated it for them both, but it was simply what came with the lifestyle. "i think it's a good choice. for both of us to have someone. that in time can know us well and... well, maybe stay with our family."
“mhm.” aaron said gently, his hand moving up and down her arm carefully before he kissed the top of her head and then smiled slowly. “you’ve been talking about family an awful lot lately. it’s cute.”
“we’re only getting older,” mack let out gently as her features softened. it was true. she would only be lying if she said she wasn’t considering that that meant for them.
aaron nodded a little as he chuckled, knowing that she was absolutely right. “i know. if you think about it, we aren’t parents yet cause we have been pretty damn careful, you know? most couples that are together for so long already have kids from what i’ve seen.” he admitted gently as he slipped both of his arms around her carefully.
mack nodded slowly at his words, definitely being well aware of that much. mack and aaron hadn't exactly been brought up in the best homes -- she wanted to be absolutely certain before they even considered having children. absolutely certain. "most of our friends are already working on kid number two," mack murmured gently, looking up at aaron intently.
aaron nodded gently, watching her reaction intently and looking her over to see what she was thinking about. “yeah. drew, mia, almost everyone in real.” he shrugged a little and kissed her lips quickly a few times. “but i mean, i’m not in a hurry. like if you feel like you’re ready then i am too, you know? i love you, i’ll love our kids, and i’ll love raising them with you no matter when that happens.”
mack laughed softly at his words, dropping her head back to meet each and every kiss that he placed against his lips. “of course we’re not in a hurry,” she assured him with a grin. “we have all the time in the world. whenever we’re both ready. you know?”
“good.” aaron knew that they were always in the same place. whenever the kids started coming he would be the happiest man on earth because he’d had kids with his favorite person in the world. with that in mind, he smiled widely and kissed her cheek right before they got into the ride.

winter warmth // hp babes
being in the castle during winter break had always been his way of feeling better about a lot of things. in a good way, hogwarts was what he considered home, not the place he returned to during the summer. so having gwen around this year was as pleasant as anything else. it was their first day off and alone, there no more classes, just empty hallways and a lot of snow and food to eat. he’d already talked to gwen about seeing each other by the exit of the castle towards to quidditch stadium so that was where he was, waiting for her, a red and gold scarf wrapped around him as he made a snow ball to surprise at her, a mischievous grin on his face as he hid behind a tree.
gwen quite literally skipped down the hall, nothing short of eager to go see fabian. she'd decided to stay at hogwarts during winter break for one sole reason: fabian. she didn't view it as a big deal, honestly, because at the end of the day, it did scare her thinking about the extent of what she'd do to be with him. once she made it outside, her eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion. it wasn't like she could miss fabian, considering how tall he was, anyway. "fabian?" she called out gently.
fabian was giddy to see her, that much was clear by the smile on his face so when he heard her voice he didn’t hesitate to poke his head out from his hiding place and before she could do anything about it, he threw the snow ball at her quickly before going back hiding behind the tree as he laughed.
gwen turned her head just in time to see the snowball coming right toward her, attempting to lift her hands to block it but it was no use. she didn't have a doubt in her mind who had done it, either. "fabian!" she called out again through her laughter this time, the smile on her lips growing more and more with each passing second. she began making her way in the direction of where it had come from, eyeing a certain tree in particular.
fabian came out of hiding as soon as she called out his name, a huge and dorky smile on his lips as he met her halfway. “hey!” he exclaimed excitedly as he lifted her up in his arms carefully.
as soo as fabian emerged from behind the tree, gwen was running. when she was close enough, she practically had to jump up in order to wrap her arms around his neck tightly. thankfully, he lifted her up immediately which made her job that much easier. "my love," gwen breathed out breathlessly, turning her head to press a kiss to his cheek before she nuzzled into him.
fabian’s entire face softened as soon as she called him that, he never said it out loud but he had never felt love. in any other way that didn’t involve her and having her in his arms now couldn’t even compare to literally anything that he had ever seen. “hey, you.” he grinned widely, leaning into her as she did so. “i missed you,”
gwen held onto him tightly as ever. in a way she never had before. perhaps it was because she knew the extent of everything that he was going through -- with that in mind, all she wanted to do was hold him. "i missed you so much," gwen practically gushed as soon as he had, pulling back slightly to grin widely up at him. "so, so much."
fabian nuzzled his face into hers as much as he could, kissing her several times when she finally pulled back. “i know, darling.” he whispered softly as he pulled back from her but kept her in his tight hold. “i couldn’t wait to see you. it’s been a long few days without you.”
gwen couldn't help but giggle as he kissed her several times, welcoming the gesture with open arms. she kept her arms wrapped tightly around him, a soft him of content escaping her as he did the same. "are you okay? everything okay?" gwen questioned gently, wanting to ensure that nothing bad had happened over that time.
“i am. i’m way better now that we are here together.” fabian said softly and he wasn’t even joking, dealing with everything alone was exhausting and she understood it. he had no one else to talk to or lean on because he’d always kept his distance from other students. “are you feeling okay? looking forward to the next couple of weeks of you and me?”
gwen nodded her head slowly in understanding, figuring that much. she leaned up to press a quick kiss to his lips, hoping it would serve as some kind of reassurance if any at all. "i'm alright. excited. very excited. that's an understatement, i'm afraid. i haven't been able to think about anything else." gwen spoke quickly, further confirming her excitement.
“really?” fabian asked teasingly, looking over at her with a wide smile on his face before he finally settled her back down on the ground carefully, pushing some of her blonde hair off her face gently as he grabbed her hand in his. “do you have anything in mind that you want to do?”
"really," gwen was quick to confirm, having no shame in the slightest about it. as she found her place back on the ground, she immediately laced their fingers together when he took her hand and sighed softly in content. "i do. i was thinking we could go to either common room. sit by the fire... enjoy the fact that no one is there?"
fabian began walking with her as she grabbed his hand, lifting them up to his lips to kiss her knuckles carefully. “that sounds amazing. there’s not a lot of people in my common room, most ravenclaws leave for christmas from what i’ve seen through the years. and i got some stuff from the three broomsticks that we can eat and drink of you want?”
gwen looked up at him with soft eyes as he kissed her knuckles, nodding her head gently. she eventually slipped her hand from his only to take his arm, wanting to be that much closer to him. "that sounds wonderful." gwen meant it, too. she figured it probably didn't sound like anything special to anyone else, but having the smallest bit of normalcy was a little piece of heaven. "when i told mum i wanted to stay she sent... a lot. several things for you, too."
normalcy was not the norm for them, in fact, they weren’t normal at all. so making plans like their classmates to hang out alone, it was rare. he wouldn’t take it for granted. “oh. she knows that you stayed with me?” he asked softly as he leaned into her more when she wrapped herself around his arm carefully, leading her inside the castle easily.
gwen nodded her head against his arm at his question. "yeah, i told her." she confirmed before immediately lifting her head to look up at him as something came to mind. "i hope that's alright." the last thing gwen ever wanted was to make things harder on him in any way. "-- she was going to be worried sick if she thought i was going to be alone. her and dad."
“of course, love.” fabian understood where she was coming from, she was already sacrificing several things and while it wasn’t ideal, he felt like he owed it to her to be honest about it to whoever she wanted to be. “i get it. i didn’t think she would remember me if i’m honest.”
gwen looked up at him in complete shock as soon as she heard what he said. "you didn't think she'd remember you?" she questioned as if he'd misspoke. "forgetting you would have been hard seeing as i never stopped talking about you. " she was quick to assure him. even when they hadn't been on speaking terms, she still gushed about him. "she sends her best... in addition to a million gifts."
fabian chuckled almost nervously at her admittance. “darling, we never talked what could you be saying to her about me?” he asked her softly, not really expecting an answer because he knew that she couldn’t have possibly be talking that much about him. “i say thank you and i will for sure send her a few things too. though i’m sure whatever i give her won’t be near her gifts.”
gwen shook her head slightly at his words. “everything,” she breathed out gently. mostly, how much she’d missed him during that time. gwen laughed softly at his words, nodding easily in agreement. “i know i won’t be able to compare, either. so don’t worry.”
“you’re too much.” fabian said with a small laugh, shaking his head at the whole thing and then moved his hand to rest on her shoulder a she led her to the gryffindor common room, kissing the top of her head. it was a relief to be like this these days. it felt so good.
gwen grinned at his words, knowing that he was right about that in more ways than one. she leaned into him as he kissed the top of her head, giggling softly afterwards. “you nearly hit your head on the way in, you know. are you sure someone in your family isn’t a half giant? somewhere down the line?” gwen questioned with a raised brow.
fabian turned his head to look back at at the door frame as she mentioned that he had almost hit his head. “did i? i didn’t even see it. i’ve never hit my head with that.” he said with a soft laugh, letting go of her hand to check out the chimney as he got rid of his scarf and threw it on one of the couches. “and yeah, i wouldn’t know. orphan here, remember?” he smirked a little, turning to look at her. “was that too soon?”
gwen giggled gently at how oblivious he was before nodding her head quickly. “i can’t believe you didn’t.” she huffed out in disbelief. this had been why it hadn’t been easy to just forget about fabian. he couldn’t exactly blend in. gwen’s features softened at his words and she shook her head quickly. “no, no. of course not.” she assured him. she was happy to hear him joking around about it all, honestly. “have you ever considered... digging into it all? figuring out who your parents were?”
“i am probably already used to the small distance between my head and the door frame.” fabian admitted playfully. he’d thought about looking for his roots for a long while, his parents, any siblings or anything that made him understood how he’d got there. he had only found out about who he really was to the death eaters months ago and a part of him couldn’t even believe it. he’d always just been a pawn in their game. “not really. i’m not sure what i want to know. chances are that they were murdered by them, you know?” he whispered softly, moving away from the fire and then sitting on the couch easily as he looked over at her. “do you think i should?”
gwen giggled at his words, nodding in agreement. "i believe that, too." she assured him, figuring he was probably used to ducking his head at this point. she made her way over to the couch as he took a seat, immediately taking the spot next to him. she shed off the layers she'd put on to keep her from the cold, until she was left in her sweater and jeans. she draped her legs over his lap and cuddled up to his side, frowning at the possibility of his own words. "i think it's worth a shot." gwen replied honestly. "i don't want you to get hurt either, though."
he smiled as soon as she cuddled up to him, leaning down to kiss her cheek as he rested his hand on her thigh gently and moved closer to her. “i don’t think i could get hurt more than i already am regarding that, love.” he said honestly, his thumb drawing small circles against hers jeans as he got los tin thought for only a few seconds and then looked back at her with a soft look on his eyes. “maybe i should. i just don’t know if i want to find out. someone being oblivious to things make things easier. like muggles and the wizarding world. there’s a war coming, they don’t even know it.” he said with a small shrug, leaning his head back against the seat as he watched her. “hey, i like your clothes. maybe you should help find something for me that isn’t all black.” he said with a grin.
gwen closed her eyes for a moment as he pressed a kiss to her cheek, moving even closer to him as he did so. they both did. a frown came across her features at his words and she nodded slowly in understanding. he had a point. she leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek before she hooked an arm around his neck, her fingers fumbling with the hair on the nape of his neck gently. again, he had a point. "there's no rush, you know? you don't have to do it today, tomorrow, a month from now. whenever you want. if you want." she reminded him gently. she looked up at his words and couldn't help but giggle, knowing her mother had knitted fabian a rather colorful sweater for christmas. "i think that can be arranged."
“i know, but i appreciate you saying it.” fabian admitted softly, leaning into her as she slipped an arm around his neck since he wanted to be as close as he could be. his eyes locked on hers and he smiled as he heard her giggle, smirking a little. “okay good.” he whispered gently. “not now though. i wanna stay like this for as long as possible.” he said teasingly, leaning down to press a kiss to her lips quickly.
gwen nodded her head gently at his words, running a hand over his hair gently. when it came to fabian, gwen definitely had trouble keeping her hands to herself. she needed that contact with him likely as much as he did. she grinned widely at his words and nodded in agreement, reciprocating the brief kiss. "i'm not sure we'll ever get you new clothes, then. i'd like to stay like this, well, for a long while." she murmured, nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck.
“hm. i know.” fabian hummed in content as she nuzzled her face into his neck. it had been so long since they could really be like this, almost since the yule ball because after that all that they could manage to do was steal a few glances here and there and meet up in empty classrooms for a few minutes to barely talk. this newfound freedom in the castle was so good for both of them, it was hard to believe. “if it were up to me, i would keep you here with me until we can get out of this place. you know, before we talked again, i always thought i’d run away from hogwarts and them...hide somewhere, go to america and find shelter over there somehow. but i can’t no longer think about that while you’re here with me.” he admitted softly as he closed his eyes.
gwen looked up at him, lovingly as ever, as soon as he began speaking about what his initial plan was. he'd hardly finished speaking before gwen spoke up. "i'll run with you," she breathed out breathlessly. it wasn't like gwen really needed a second thought when it came to that. if fabian wanted to go, she would go with him. now that she was with him, gwen never wanted to be without him. she never wanted to be without him again. she let the sentence hang out in the air for a moment before her head fell to the side slightly. "i'd go anywhere with you to get away from it all."
fabian opened his eyes to look down at her intently when she spoke up. she didn’t hesitate or stuttered and a part of him was beyond grateful for that. knowing that they both felt the same way. that they knew they belonged together. he let out a soft sigh and leaned over to kiss her softly, one hand moving to cup the side of her face carefully. “is that really what you want, love?” she had friends, she had her parents. fabian had nothing to lose but she did and he didn’t want her to give up anything else for him.
gwen leaned into him even more as he pressed a kiss to her lips, one hand moving to overlap his on her face. she kissed him gently, carefully at that. there was no other way when it came to fabian. she nodded her head as soon as she heard his question, flashing him a small smile. “it’s all i want.” she whispered. “all i want is to stay with you and for you to be safe.”
fabian leaned his forehead against hers gently and sighed a little. “i feel really safe when i’m with you. i have never felt like that unless i am with you.” he admitted softly, his thumb running over her cheek carefully as he looked at her intently. “maybe we will after graduation. or before. if thats what you really want.”
gwen’s heartbeat picked up against her chest as soon as fabian told her that he felt safe around her. god, that was all she’d ever wanted. to know that she had that was the greatest feeling in the world. she kissed him quickly, shaking her head in disbelief. “i love you so much.” she breathed out before nodding. “we’ll just go.”
“and i love you, gwen.” fabian said softly, smiling a little at her. he didn’t want her to feel like she had to do anything that she didn’t want to do. leaving everything behind was a huge deal and he would let her think about it before he told her what he was really thinking. if things went as planned, they couldn’t stay until the end of the year, they would have to run before the third triwizard tournament event. “we have this entire week and a few days for us though. just you and me and i have great news...everyone in my dormitory left for home. so you could stay there with me for the entire break if you want.”
“i know you do,” gwen breathed out with a smile that hardly fit on her face. she was certain of how much she loved him. of how much she wanted to be with him. he was the one thing in her life that was certain. the one thing she had no doubt about. gwen’s eyes lit up as soon as she heard his words and she nodded eagerly. “i would love that, fabian. truly. i can bring some of my things later.”
fabian nodded easily, kissing the side of her head as he brought her closer to him. “okay. no rush though. i like what we are doing right now.” he joked lightly, since they weren’t really doing much of anything aside from holding each other after a long time of not doing anything at all. “sometimes i remember when i used to go to your house on summer. and how your mom always had that...what’s it called, tv? she always had it on, right?”
gwen tightened her hold around him, resting her head against his. she closed her eyes, humming softly in content. "you're not getting rid of me that easily, love," she assured him playfully, although she meant it wholeheartedly. even when she would leave to get her things, she'd probably drag him along with her. gwen giggled at his questions, nodding her head in confirmation. "a tv, mhm. it's like a moving pictures here -- they just, tell stories." gwen murmured gently. a frown came across her lips as she thought of something, lifting her head to look up at him. "maybe we should have gone to visit my parents. both of us."
fabian laughed a little. “i wasn’t planning on that anytime soon.” he admitted easily, pecking her lips and then furrowed his eyebrows together as she spoke up. “that’s sweet of you to say, but you know they would know if i left hogwarts or not. i wanted to take you on vacation somewhere but i realized it was better to stay here.” he murmured softly, kissing her temple.
gwen grinned widely as she nuzzled into him even more. she reached over to grab a nearby blanket, draping it over the both of them carefully. it was something little, but it definitely reflected on gwen feeling the need to protect fabian. if she didn't, no one else would. gwen nodded slowly in understanding, knowing that was the truth. she wanted to question him further, but didn't want him to focus on that. not now. she leaned into him as he kissed her temple before looking up at him. "for now. we'll get all that eventually," she assured him. she just had to convince herself that they had time. they had time. "i think i like this option better anyway. just the two of us with absolutely no distractions."
fabian smiled softly as she covered them both with the blanket. honestly, it was cold outside, really cold even for an english winter, but being with her made him feel warm on the inside and outside. he'd never really had that before, what people ocnsidered family warmth, feeling protected. but now he did. "we will. i promise you that." if he didn't think that he had an opportunity to leave all of this behind and to make sure that she got what she deserved, fabian would never string her along. "i quite like it too. you and me, like this. in any way, really. what do you wanna do this break though?"
gwen grinned widely at his promise, nodding once as if to seal it mentally. with that, she leaned over to press a quick kiss to his lips before she rested her head against him, her eyes fixating on the fire in front of them. "in any way," gwen repeated gently since she felt nothing short of the exact same way. even the bare minimum was more than enough when it came to the two of them. "why don't you tell me, hm? we have no one around, we're free to do whatever you want, my love."
"oh, i don't know. i'm a simple man, i just need you and maybe some hot cocoa to make it through the day just fine." he said playfully, though it was true. he'd grew up not having much luxury regarding fun times, fabian rarely ever did anything but read and learn about new spells or even fiction sometimes. and history of magic, he wasn't sure of how people their age were supposed to act, really. "what do people do during the holidays? things that you like, obviously."
gwen couldn't deny that much. she was sure that fabian would be more than okay with the bare minimum, but a part of her still wanted to give him the christmas break he'd never gotten. he deserved that much, honestly, and that was saying the very least. "well, people normally --" gwen stopped herself as a smile broke out onto her lips. "you now what? every day is going to be a surprise, how about that? i'll come up with something each day for us to do. big or small."
fabian frowned a little before he smiled brightly and nodded eagerly. “okay. you’ll have to tell me it’s a tradition because i won’t know otherwise.” he joked lightly, leaning down to kiss her quickly and leaning his head against hers gently, looking back at the fire in front of them silently as he simply enjoyed her company.
gwen nodded her head at his request, kissing him back quickly before she spoke up. "i will, i promise. it'll be the best christmas ever," she whispered, leaning her head against his. she let silence surround them for a moment, simply enjoying their closeness until she finally spoke up again. "i love you, fabian."
“i love you too.” he whispered against her head, smiling softly. some time later that night after getting back from gwen’s dorm, they got into bed and finally fell asleep. it felt good, being able to have that normalcy with her. he didn’t know how or when but soon enough, he was shaking in his sleep, the images in his brain obviously getting to him as he began to sweat and to speak while he was still asleep.
gwen was on cloud nine. all the bad took a backseat to everything that she was currently feeling with fabian. she was sleeping soundly alongside him, tangled up within each other. she was convinced that this had been the best sleep of her life, until she felt him shaking in her hold. gwen hadn't been a particularly light sleeper, but this had been more than enough to wake her. she propped herself up slightly on her elbow, looking down at him intently with concern spread across her features. "fabian," she murmured gently, moving her hand to the side of his face gently. "fabian, my love."
what was happening? what the hell was he looking at, why couldn’t he do anything about it. he complained in his sleep, breathing hard and then groaned when his left arm began to sting. that was when he felt gwen’s hand on his face and it was enough to ground him back to his bed, immediately relieved to feel her against him. still cuddled up, but he quickly sat up to look at his arm, hissing because of the pain. “it’s moving. i-i’m not sure what i just saw but i was something gwen.” he said quickly, his words almost running into each other.
dude i figured no worries !!gwen's concern grew more and more with every passing second as she looked down at him. gwen felt helpless as ever, too. she wanted to take away whatever he was experiencing in that very moment. to take it all away and make it better for him. why couldn't she. she ran her thumb along his cheek slowly, letting a small sigh of relief emit from her lips as she saw his eyes open. she pulled back only slightly so that he could sit up, watching him carefully as she did so. gwen's eyebrows furrowed at his words before she put two and two together, her eyes drifting down to the dark mark. she frowned at the sight, shaking her head slowly. "it was just a nightmare, fabian," she breathed out  gently, moving to sit up herself. "you're alright."
fabian hissed again as the pain in his arm deepened, biting down on his bottom lip and leaning against his girlfriend as much as he could without crushing her. that was when he he looked down and realized the darn mark was moving and that could only mean one thing: the death eaters were being called. “it wasn’t. it’s not a dream.” he whispered quickly, moving to get out of the bed and struggling a little since he was lightheaded as he did so. “something bad happened, something really bad happened, gwen.” he swallowed hard, trying to calm himself down.
gwen's face fell as fabian clarified that it hadn't been a dream at all. that caused her eyebrows to furrow in confusion. none of it made sense to gwen, but she was trying anyways. gwen nearly fell over when he got out of bed since she had been leaning against him, but caught herself with her arm. she didn't even know what to ask. what to say to make it better. she was at a loss. she was at a complete loss. "w-what happened, fabian?" she breathed out gently, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed and moving to stand. she made her way over to him, placing her hands on his arms and shaking her head slightly as she looked up at him. "it had to be a dream."
"someone's found him." fabian said slowly as he raked his own brain, trying to understand and to figure out what he had really seen. Most of it was very foggy and dark, but he knew that something was really happening. "they've found a part of him." he groaned a little, rubbing over the dark mark since his skin still hurt and then finally looked up at her with soft eyes. "there's something that you need to know about...the dark lord, gwen and it's not easy to hear."
gwen's confusion only heightened when fabian spoke up. nothing he was saying was making any kind of sense to her. found him? found who? why? gwen's hands remained on his arms before one of her moved to the side of his face, looking up at him intently as ever before she shook her head. his words absolutely caused a chill to run up her spine, but nonetheless she nodded slowly. "what is it?" she let out gently.
fabian swallowed hard and tapped the bed next to him, he wanted her to be close as he began explaining everything. “you know magic can be really good. which is what they teach at hogwarts...but magic can also be something really, really bad. and with magic, everything you do, you have to pay a price.” he whispered softly, trying to be as specific as he possibly could be. “a long time ago, the dark lord used to go by tom marvolo riddle. a halfblood, as some people would say, you know i don’t really use the terms.” he said as he gave her hand a gentle squeeze and then looked down at his dark mark. “he was tom when he attended this very same school and tom was a brilliant wizard. he was a prefect and then a head boy...and like most brilliant students, like myself, he had very good connections with his professors. even more so with whoever was teaching defense against dark arts at the time. he read many books, even those in the library that he wasn’t allowed to read. so he asked that professor if he had ever heard about something called...horcruxes.” fabian said slowly, the word feeling foreign in his tongue. “have you...ever heard or read about them?”
Gwen walked over to the bed and took a seat next to him, reaching over to take his hand in hers. She needed that, perhaps as much as he did. It was easy to feel as though this whole thing would push them apart and honestly, Gwen would do anything in her power to ensure that didn’t happen. She looked up at him and listened intently as he spoke, trying her best to understand. It was so difficult to wrap her mind around it all, the knowledge that Fabian had regarding all of this. It wasn’t easy for her to wrap her mind around. She followed along as best as she could, nodding every now and then so that he knew she was understanding. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he mentioned a word she’d never heard before and she shook her head slightly. “I’ve never even heard the name before.”
“that’s okay. horcruxes. they belong to a magic so dark that only those with deep ties to dark arts would know about them.” he explained gently, taking a deep breath as he tried to think of how to explain everything. “when a wizard kills someone, their heart becomes to halves. it breaks in two and when you do that, there’s no coming back from it. jo way to fix your heart and make it whole again.” he began saying, licking his lips. “a horcrux is an object that you can use to keep one half of your heart in, using very dark magic and spells that no even death eaters know about.” he said softly.
gwen could feel an uneasy feeling coming over her as fabian began explaining it all further. she didn't like where this was headed. she didn't like it one bit. gwen's head turned to him as he finished speaking,  the puzzle pieces slowly fitting together. "you're saying that --" gwen paused, biting down on her bottom lip. could she be right? there was no way. "the dark lord.. has a horcrux? love, how do you know this? how can you be certain?"
fabian didn’t know how to break it to her. that there was more than one side of voldemort out there. that there were several. “it’s how they’re trying to get him back, gwen.” he explained softly, taking a deep breath. “the dark lord...died the night that he tried to get rid of a boy because of a prophecy. a part of him did. a part of his soul and a heart but he has other parts of himself that are hidden and that he uses to try to come back here renewed. do you remember the diary that awoke the basilisk a few years ago? when people were petrified by the criature? that was a horcrux.” he explained softly, taking a deep breath as he looked ahead. “we aren’t sure of how many he has out there but i think it’s seven. he always likes that number from what i’ve been told.”
as with many things fabian told her regarding all of this, she tried her best to follow along. it was much easier said than done, though, in just about every sense. she swallowed hard when he explained further, unaware of how her hold on his hand tightened that much more. gwen nodded slowly along with his words, her eyes not leaving his face even as he looked ahead. "fabian," gwen breathed out breathlessly at a complete loss for words, shaking her head slightly. "so, if someone found all of these horcruxes and -- and destroyed them, he would be destroyed, too?" she questioned gently.
“yes. it seems like it.” fabian explained gently, not really sure if that was the case but it would get them closer. he just didn’t know if it would work out. he didn’t know anything at all. he turned his head to look back at her with soft eyes and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. “i felt something really bad. he’s...happy. it felt like he was too happy and i have never felt it so close. the death eaters have a plan, but i haven’t figured out what it is yet. and i think that...it involves the triwizard tournament.” he admitted slowly.
gwen nodded slowly in understanding. as he turned to look at her with eyes sot as ever before, gwen relaxed. despite it all, gwen relaxed. that was a testament to the effect he had on her, if she could think of one. it was only temporary because as soon as he spoke up, she couldn't help but tense up slightly again. "we have to tell dumbledore," gwen berathed out immediately, looking up at him with pleading eyes. "he would know what to do with all this information. maybe he would even know more about horcruxes."
“gwen...i can’t tell him anything. i’m a death eater.” he whispered softly, looking back down at his dark mark. not everyone would believe him like she did. no one would know him as well as she did. “he could expel me or i don’t know, send me to azkaban. gwen...i’ve been a witness to crimes, it’s not just having this mark or being in their meetings.”
gwen shook her head quickly, refusing to believe that it was that simple. nothing regarding this was simple, this was no exception. she used her free hand to lift his head for him to look over at her, shaking her head once more. "you don't know that. fabian, he knows you. i see how he looks at you. what if he already knows? what if he knows more than you think? surely dumbledore will know your heart."
“i don’t know if he knows. and i don’t know if i can risk that much.” fabian whispered carefully, locking his eyes on hers and then sighing softly as he leaned closer to her. “not everyone sees me the way that you do, gwen.”
the frown on gwen's features didn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon at his words. maybe dumbledore could be the key to all of this. he would never know, though. she leaned closer to him as he did, her free hand moving to rest on his cheek gently. her thumb ran along his skin slowly and she let a sigh emit from her lips. "anyone that knew you the way i do would see you the same way i do."
“but no one else knows me like you do.” fabian explained carefully, his arms moving to wrap around her waist gently to hug her. he wasn’t sure of what to do, except for wait. to see what he could do to make sure that no one got hurt. and he would do that, but letting an outsider come into his world was almost impossible.
"i know," gwen whispered, moving to wrap her arms around his neck tightly so that she could hold him. and she did so tightly, as always. "it's what makes me so lucky." she mumbled against his ear before pressing a kiss against it. she wasn't lying, either. she felt immensely lucky that she was the one he decided to let in, of all people, it had been her. "we'll figure it out, okay? i promise. not now, though. it won't come to us now."
“and what makes me lucky too.” fabian murmured slowly,  leaning in to press a kiss to her lips quickly before he pulled back and then nodded. knowing that she was absolutely right. “i know. i try not to worry too much. do you want to lay down again? i’m sorry that i woke you.”
gwen reciprocated the brief kiss before he pulled back, causing her gaze to shift up to him. she ran a hand through his short hair, a small smile coming across her lips as she looked up at him. she just couldn't help it when it came to him. "don't be sorry. i wouldn't mind if you kept me up all night." gwen told him honestly before she moved to lay back down, guiding him to do the same alongside her
fabian knew that she was completely honest, but he didn’t enjoy the fact their week off had to be clouded by all of this once again. laying down with her, he wrapped his arms around her and sighed a little. “i know. not good circumstances though. we could just be up talking and not worrying about any of this.”
once fabian laid down, gwen wasted no time at all before she cuddled up to him entirely. she rested her head on his chest and sighed softly, closing her eyes. "we can do that now," gwen offered gently, wrapping her arm around his middle to hold him tightly.
“yeah? you’re not sleepy?” fabian asked her softly, as she cuddled up to him and wrapped his arms around her tightly almost as if to make sure that he was making her feel better about everything he’d just shared that night.
gwen let out a breath as he wrapped his arms around her, relaxing entirely in his hold. she'd never been one to consider a single person to be home, but fabian certainly was for her. he was her home. gwen shrugged as much as she could, lifting her head to look up at him. "i mean, yeah. if you want to talk, though, i'll stay up. you know that."
fabian nodded a little but still leaned his head against hers as he closed his eyes. he was pretty tired too, but he understood that she wanted to be there for him. “you know, i’m used to the nightmares by now. it’s not hard to go back to sleep after one of them anymore. especially now that i am with you.” he admitted in a small whisper.
gwen lifted her head to look up at him as best as she could while leaving her head on his chest, frowning slightly at his words. she then propped herself up to hover over him slightly, just to press her lips to his several times. "i love you so much," gwen whispered against his lips before she pressed another kiss to them. "we're going to be okay in the end. i know it." she let out gently before settling back against him once more.
fabian smiles a little into the kisses, humming in content and snuggling up to her as she settled back down against him. “i know and i love you too. i’m fighting for us. for everyone. we will get out of this.” he said gently as he looked up at the ceiling with a small smile on his face.
i'm fighting for us. that phrase alone caused gwen to relax entirely against him. little did he know, a smile spread across her lips as well, one that was similar to the one that grew across his own. "of course we will," she whispered before allowing her eyes to fall shut, a soft sigh of content emitting from her lips. "will you wake me if you cant sleep?"
“i will wake you if i can’t sleep.” he said with a small nod, but honestly the chances of not falling asleep once again were rather slim. he had learned to coexist with the nightmares and dreams by now. it was rather easy. “goodnight, darling.”
gwen nodded gently as if to seal his promise, happy that he would do so. she tangled their legs together, holding onto him tightly. "goodnight, my love." gwen whispered after he did, nuzzling her face into his chest and finally, letting sleep envelop her.
