Chimera! All his uneven white tufts are proof of his chimerism; he gets the color from his great-grandma Palebird. (Because Deadfoot is actually hers and Tallstar’s half-brother and I will not accept otherwise)
Tons of white around his eyes especially.
The plants tucked behind his ears are agave leaves! Agave symbolize faithfulness and loyalty, alongside security; they grow slowly, but are incredibly hardy and adaptable plants, able to withstand some pretty tough conditions.
Lots of rough diamond or star shapes incorporated throughout his design, most notably in his face markings and in the center of his tabby swirl.
Scar on his side is from Breezepelt while he was defending Poppyfrost.
Vaguely inspired by the Canadian Jay! Fun fact: the Canadian Jay is also called the “camp robber”, which is a really funny image for Jayfeather specifically
So the scene at the finale of Renfield when Dracula is offering to bring Rebecca’s sister back and Renfield says that’s the same shit Dracula did to him… did anyone else take that as Dracula killed Renfield’s wife and daughter so he could force Renfield to join him to bring them back? Because that adds another level of fucked up when Dracula piles on the “you abandoned your family to follow me” guilt trip.
I use my power for a lot things but I didn't need to use it on you, you were a lawyer who wanted to get RICH off a real estate deal, you're the one who used ME, you used MY power, because you're a HUUUSK. an empty void that nothing can fill. the only thing that gave your life any meaning was my power, the power you used to bring me victims while you pretended to be one yourself, however I'M THE REAL VICTIM HERE, I'M the one you SWORE TO PROTECT and you ABANDONED ME just like you abandoned your wife and your daughter.
