it should be illegal for reddit anime dudes to have Killua profile pictures because it contributes to the misconception that Killua is your average reddit dude anime boy like no no you dont understand. He's a gay twelve year old with infinite money and dresses exactly how you would expect a gay twelve year old with infinite money to dress. He has one of the best character arcs of all time in which at one point he does impromptu brain surgery on himself as an allegory for overcoming trauma. He has a trans little sister and aggressively corrects anyone who misgenders her. He fights with yo yos and a skateboard. He almost got killed by playing darts with an ant once. He spent a million dollars on robot shaped chocolate. He looks like tjis

extremely bewildering to me that people think silva is like. a good dad. obviously due to the talk he and killua have about never betraying friends. and its like... people see that scene in isolation and think "wow killuas dad is such a gigachad" and never reevaluate this opinion based on information we get later

like almost immediately after silva freeing killua from the family dungeon we see him do a sinister laugh about how one day killua will return because, essentially, he knows him better than he knows himself. and then later we find out that silva was totally aware that killua was being magically brainwashed to abandon his friends in moments of mortal peril. all with the usual zoldyck family backdrop of brutal dehumanization and torture

and its like.... did you not catch any of that? am i going crazy? because silva is so deliberately using kikyos obsession with killua to play good cop/bad cop and weaponize his compassion so that when illumis needle eventually causes him to leave gon to die killua will feel so ashamed not only for doing that at all but also for breaking the promise he made to his dad whom he loves. and that broken promise will make him return, spirit broken, for atonement in the way killua has done many times on a smaller scale. but sure. i guess silva giving killua permission to leave his own house is a gigachad move

Making Yourself Damage Resistant (PART 1)

Life can sometimes shake us up! Here's how we can be a little more prepared.

General resistance training will help condition our bones, muscles, tendons, etc for high forces - those are usually the ones that hurt us!

But we don't *just* want to be stiffly strong. It also helps to be spry and mobile! Injury often happens when we're stretched out - which happens both in and out of the gym or training environment. So consider full range of motion!

btw the majority of your life will be lived as a adult. yeah i don't make the rules. go have fun in your 40s or 70s or whatever. no one expects you to accomplish everything at 17 or 27. you've got time and in the meantime get some life experience, it will pay off

so ur telling me, that all in the same arc—

Killua said some shakespearian poetic rizz monologue about how his homie is “the light” and “shines so brightly” that he has to avert his eyes and asks himself “can I still stay by your side?”

And in the next chapter they meet Palm who goes on a rant about her feelings for Knov which heavily parallels Gon and Killua.

A few chapters later, Killua is PISSED when Palm asked out Gon and Gon said yes. Boy was arguing and fighting for his damn life to talk them out of it. In that same chapter, Killua was crushed (metaphorically by a rock) when Gon told him he’d been on dates before. Gon asks Killua also if he’s been on a date and Killua defensively says no & “Since I’ve met you, I’ve been with you the entire time.” then Killua proceeds to think internally, “And the truth is, I want to stay by your side… always...”

THEN, next chapter Killua puts on a disguise and STALKS Gon’s entire date (literally admitted it himself that he looked like a stalker) Not to mention, he was fuming with even more anger and jealousy for some reason when he saw that Palm randomly turned attractive for the date.

During that date Killua fought a rabbit and proclaimed Gon as his “most precious friend” then ripped a needle out of his head by the power of Gon’s touching words, “Killua is the only one for me!” (Killua ja nakya dame nan da!) . He then physically steals Gon away from Palm after their date. Palm is about to hunt them down but is stopped by Knov when he says to her “your blood is a precious resource” then Palm thinks in her head, “Knov is the only one for me!”

good lord I’m not even halfway done talking about all the gay subtext/things that proceed to happen in this arc. that’s literally all just the beginning of it.

i’m too tired to rant more but I’ll continue on after i finish the post that goes in depth about all the Palm/Knov & Gon/Killua parallels
