Apparently a company in England tried to create an unofficial "Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience". This was supposed to be an interactive event that would take you through a replica of Willy's Factory with themed rooms.
However the website had a number of red flags, such as the fact that it was entirely AI generated, with no proofreading being done.
The actual event was a disaster. It was so bad police were called when refunds weren't issued
In the spirit of Dashcon, they also had a ballpit! Apparently kids were given candy, but it ended up being only two jellybeans per child and a cup of lemonade.
