do you guys think doppelgangers are immune to some natural poisons like humans are and are immune to other poisons? asking for a friend. but i'm a bit curious. i have some thoughts and i think it would be interesting if ppl sometimes took matter in their own hands when they cant exactly reach their telephones in time. it'd also be super funny if a doppelganger got poisoned by someone trying to kill their spouse.

spoilers for reactions to doppelgangers

how fascinating it is that it's the lawyer and the writer that currently only reacts to doppelgangers being let int. how curiously curious! only i like it that it's those two who interact. it's hard to really say it or really put it into words. how they both react are so telling of their personality. alf reacting with panic and scolding the doorman, desperately trying to get the doorman to realize how STUPID it is to continue the procedures when the building should've been put on lockdown. alf reminds you repeatedly that YOU let in something dangerous. he reminds you that he lives with others here and they are in danger. arnold on the other hand? oh he's scolding you of course, but he's thinking of how you can be able to stop it right here and right now. in fact, he is willing to help. he is giving you ideas on what you can do. he reminds you that the doppelganger is still dangerous, but there is still time to fix this. lockdown the building, call for help, or whatever. he is here to help though. you both can do this together. it's fascinating isn't it? two different approaches to the same situation. you can almost hear the characters when their voices aren't just nonsense.

rambling again, but the worms or well walters actually disgust and scare me. sometimes when i see it, i imagine what it would've felt like. do the doppelgangers feel how it moves? how it wriggles as it desperately burrows into their skin? do they feel that cool sliminess touch against their flesh? and then i think about how i would feel about it and the dread and horror it comes with being eaten alive or burrowed alive by something and not being able to pull the wriggling beast out of my skin. maybe this is just my vivid imagination, but i genuinely felt sick when i first saw walter. perhaps it's not terrifying for some, but for me it's one where it's so brief and small yet just one single movement changes everything. to see it squirming is so wretching and horrific to me, it is so disgusting despite being cartoonishly small. anyways i think doppelgangers should have more walters, i love feeling absolutely nauseous or grossed out by horror in the body horror way. not in the well... different way.
