The Hazbin Hotel s1 finale coincided with Elmo's week of getting trauma dumped on over Twitter and then assaulted on TV right before his birthday, so both have been on my mind.

i think something in wicked that gets overlooked a lot is that g(a)linda is just as academically ambitious as elphaba in the musical. i feel like those 'are you an elphaba or glinda' personality quiz things always frame elphaba as being studious and glinda just wanting to have fun but like. the very first thing glinda does at shiz is introduce herself to madame morrible and remind her about the entrance essay she wrote for the sorcery seminar. she just gets overlooked because she doesn't have the natural talent and book smarts that elphaba does, which is why she has to resort to using her charm and likability to get what she wants. idk i just think glinda and elphaba being established as academic rivals in that first shiz scene is such an interesting part of their early dynamic that isn't explored by the general public as much as it deserves to be

ok idk if people on here are talking abt this idk if I’ve seen it but one of the funniest/most awkward things about the immediate aftermath of the queen’s death was audiences that night going to see musicals on the west end, specifically Wicked. apparently before the show some official came out and called for a minute or two of silence in honor of the queen. makes sense. silence concludes, lights come down, show begins. the overture begins very loudly with dramatic and fast-moving music, moves to a slower section, and at around the minute mark, becomes a very brassy, loud, cantankerous kind of aggressive melody. and then, after a minute of silence and a minute of overture, the audience is greeted with the first words of this musical, the words that have started the musical every night since 2003, now being sung loud and proud in london on September 8th, 2022:

“Good news! She’s dead!”

Whenever Hamas releases a former hostage, all of or at least the majority of them say that they had been treated good by the Palestinians.

When the former hostage, Emily, yes that little blonde girl was asked if Hamas taught her to share her food with those needed more, she nodded.

People who support palestine and or are Palestinian but are in other, more "civilised", countries have faced death threats, losing their jobs and even physical violence by people who support Israel.

Jesus was a Palestinian jew.

Holocaust survivors have compared the crimes that Israel is committing to the crimes nazis did back in world War 2.

The reason why no one spoke up about palestine before was due to the fact that many received death threats.

Isreal is allowed to do this because of world War 2, it's fully exploiting the hundreds of deaths of Jews along with the torture they faced.

The Pope is pro-palestine and has stated that what Isreal is doing is terrorism.

Boycotting is easy.

if my close friends decided to prank my sister by pretending her crush wanted to meet her alone while they SECRETLY RECORDED her taking her top off and then she ended up dead because of it ALONG WITH HER TWIN… i don’t think i would just scare them a bit for youtube. i think it would be genuine deaths happening on that mountain in that lodge by my hands. u don’t even need to bring a creature into it lol

It annoys me unreasonably when you want to ask people "what bird and what mammal would make the worst gryphon" as a fun thought exercise, and people with no joy and no imagination always interpret it as "a gryphon that sucks, is physically impossible, and would hate being alive", and - being predictable and lacking in imagination - always, always answer with "a hummingbird and a blue whale lol".

Like come on. Why do you have to suck the fun out of everything. Why not use a fraction of imagination and delightful whimsy. Imagine the combination of a mouse and a sparrow. That creature would be merciless, burtal, absolutely determined to get into your trash and has the power of both wings and hands to do its will. Or a crow and a cat - that thing is smart enough to fuck with people and not afraid to do it. Imagine the ungodly shriek of the noble fox-seagull, also determined to get into your trash.

A gryphon that is a combination of a kangaroo and a cassowary. The only proof we have of a loving god is the fact that those things do not exist. If hell is real, it's full of them. That thing can't fly, but it will run you down, it will kill you, and you will look stupid the whole entire time you're dying.

Why would the first thing that pops into your mind at the words "the worst gryphon" automatically be "a gryphon that hates being alive". Can you not picture a gryphon that fucking loves being alive, and has both the power and the will to make it everyone else's problem.

ISRAEL TO APPEAR TOMORROW BEFORE THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE IN HISTORIC CASE OF GENOCIDE

The Israeli Occupation authorities are to appear tomorrow before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in a historic case of genocide brought before the Court by the nation of South Africa.

South African authorities brought the accusations of "acts of genocide" against the state of "Israel" before the ICJ in a set of charges filed on Dec. 29th, 2023, with Jan. 11th and 12th being the dates set for proceedings to begin.

The South African authorities, in filing the charges, submitted an 84-page report detailing carefully collected evidence that "Israel", an occupying power, violated its obligations under International Law and the United Nations Charter in committing the act of genocide against the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip.

The South African authorities have asked the ICJ to “indicate interim measures in order to protect against further serious and irreparable harm to the rights of the Palestinian people under the Genocide Convention and to ensure Israel’s compliance with its obligations under the Convention not to engage in, prevent and punish genocide.”
