You know what? I do have King of The Jews in my kindle app, and looking through David's book, you're right. The reference list is huge. I wonder if I got through a couple chapters in David's and then clicked on the other accidentally..

Did Carolyn confirm the mistresses in her book, at least? I didn't appreciate the "dead below the waist" comment in the tv show, but a few websites post pictures of supposed mistresses. Makes me sad for Carolyn.

There was a lot of supposition. Where did he get that Arnold had psychological problems as a child without evidence or records of diagnosis or hospitalization? Where did he get that he was unloved by his family? There's just a lot of assumptions made by the author of the book without providing evidence and that bugs the crap out of me. I would've liked to read Carolyn's book to see her side of the story. I mean obviously he had some issues, he was a mobster, but it wouldn't put it in a book without references or evidence to prove it. Also, the flow and writing sucked ass, but that's what a good editor is for.

Apparently "The Big Bankroll: The Life And Times Of Arnold Rothstein" is less supposition and what other books about Rothstein base their information from, so I will give it a go next!

Where do you obtain this book? I can't seem to find it for sale online but I could be stupid. I just bought "Rothstein: the life, times, and murder of the criminal genius" and it was a bunch of garbage.
