hey I hope this isn't rude, but I wanted to ask about your kinic genders and the use of "kinning" as a verb. otherkin isn't, like. a verb. nor is it a choice. you *are* otherkin, or kin with something, or have a kintype. otherkin identity isn't relating to something, it's BEING something.

I'm not trying to identity police or be gatekeep-y here, but misuse of otherkin terminology has done a lot of the damage to the community in perpetuating the myths that being otherkin is a choice, non-intrinsic, "for fun", or means you relate to/connect to a character rather than you *are* a character or are nonhuman.

alterhuman is the umbrella term, and there's plenty of alternatives or other terms. click and lith are direct alternatives to "kinning" or "kinnie" (kinnie was directly coined by anti-kin meant to mock and demean otherkin, and while it hasn't been proven to have this origin and no kinnie isn't a slur, considering it first popped up on very transphobic message boards it shares...very uncomfortable similarities to the t slur), while constellic is a identity label that can encompass a lot of things, such as voluntary or non-intrinsic identity. otherhearted is relating to something very deeply without being it while still having it be an important part of your identity. otherkin is specifically *being* something nonhuman, and misuse has made it very hard for us to find each other.

I hope this didn't come off as exclusionist nonsense, but misunderstanding of "kinning" has gotten really, really bad so it's very hard to tell. if you meant those kinic genders as actually otherkin you *are* this, whoops, sorry, though I'd recommend changing the wording so it's not further misunderstood. if not, I'd highly, highly recommend changing the suffix and wording
