Another wave of horror rolled over his tanned features as he was introduced to Morwenna’s new husband. This man? He was old enough to be her father! And a Reverend too! Aslan would not be pleased. As incredulous and disapproving as he was, Caspian managed to greet him somewhat politely.

“I have much business to attend to,” he returned his attention purely to Morwenna. “But we must speak later,” he reached out and squeezed her hands in his own. “I’ll send a messenger this evening.” And Reverand Osborne Whitworth would most certainly not be invited.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐎 meeting with Caspian seemed to drag in, more so when Osborne was in the room and RANTING. He had gone through many options openly from accompanying Morwenna to 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐁𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 her to go. But with some wise words from both his mother and Morwenna’s sister Rowella, and he had agreed to allow her to go alone.

The Chynoweth was shown into a small dining room near Caspian’s chambers and entered. The room was empty so she sat by the fire and rested back against the plush couch, grateful for the quiet that was a few moments without her MONSTER of a husband.

𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 lot braver now, thanks to Drake and his patience and love for her. ❝ It is ... DIFFERENT, this time. ❞ Morwenna admitted, knowing it was enough to make Elizabeth understand what she meant Loveday was created through affection and 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 between her parents, while John Conan had not.

❝ I know George might not wish you too but ... ❞ she fidgeted with her hands at the mention of him but found her courage to continue. ❝ We wondered if you would be Loveday’s GODMOTHER. You do not have to if you do not wish, but I wanted you to know that it’s what Drake and I would want. ❞

But tongue is bitten while footsteps halted outside the door to the office of George Warleggan. She sucked a deep breath in, and gripped at her dearest friend’s hand hard enough that knuckles turned ghostly white. The footsteps then moved down the hall and Caroline felt safe enough to finally breathe. ❝ Let us find what we are here for, and be 𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐄. ❞ There was no excuse in all of England they could use to explain being here alone at night.
