This makes me so angry.

If you work in a movie theater and you do this I have no respect for you.

My younger brother is Type 1 Diabetic.

When we go to a movie theater, we always get him diet soda. If he were to get regular when we asked for diet, we would not give him the insulin he would need for it. If that happens, his blood sugar level could go so high he could go into a coma, go blind, or even die.

If somebody gave him regular soda instead of diet without telling us, that person could be responsible for a nine-year-old being killed or blinded.

Just thinking about that makes me so angry. I get scared every time we take him to a movie in case the people working there saw this picture and decide to do the same thing.

hi!

(making another post because the last one lost traction)

please help me afford top surgery!

I'm a brown disabled nonbinary transmasc person trying to reduce my everyday dysphoria and general mental health by getting top surgery. I'm unable to bind due to asthma and chronic illness so this is super necessary for my gender euphoria and reducing social dysphoria for me.

I'm on benefits, unable to work, not covered by any sort of health insurance, and it's not something that I have the money to save for at the moment, but I also can't wait years to (possibly) get top surgery through a GIC, so I'm having to go private.

£7155 is the cost for surgery for the surgeon I've chosen, and it's £150 for the consultation with them. Between fuel costs for my partner to drive us there and back from surgery, possibly needing to spend a night in a travelodge before driving back, and recovery supplies like bio oil and self care items, I'll need another £150 for surgery-related expenses. Total is £7455 for surgery/related expenses.

the way adhd is looked down upon in society makes it really easy to get frustrated when you’re the one who’s actually affected by it. we’re always the ones who get blamed when we finally break down and can’t take it anymore. the ignorance and frustration that’s generally aimed toward us can make it difficult to keep your head up high so sometimes when we do lose our temper it’s because we’ve been in this helpless position for so long and don’t know how else to react. no matter what we do, we often remain the intolerable and disregarded ones. this can be awfully hard to take, especially if you’re still a child.  for instance, when i was still in school, the other children pretty soon picked up on me being different. i was that way because of my adhd. they started bullying me. relentlessly. for years. but when i finally got the courage to fight back, i was the one who got the blame. it was always my fault. because i was seen as the disruptive one who was “unable to control themselves”. but tell me, when you’re constantly the scapegoat and feel like everyone is against you, isn’t it only natural to want to do something about it? there’s always two sides of a story but in my experience, mostly only one side is ever heard. in this case, the one who conceals the way people with adhd are really treated in society.

About a week ago I posted this.

I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.

About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like

I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like

This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”

But I guess the lesson goes like this:

DONT TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN
