“ That time Kevin Schwantz raced a Ducati.

Sears Point, 1985, AMA Formula One event (overseas equivalent of TT-F1, in which 500 two-stroke and 750 4t were raced together).

Team Yoshimura's rising star, Kevin Schwantz, is retired, because Suzuki wants him to race only in Superbike.

However, his desire to race is great and so he managed to get a Ducati TT1 given by Dale Newton, official Ducati USA driver, so he participated in the BOTT race, unfortunately with little luck, because after a few laps his chain broke, he fell, fracturing his collarbone and risking to be fired from Team Yoshimura.”
