This week on The Chris Gethard Show, It’s piñata pandemonium!
There are 40 piñatas in our studio and the contents of every one has been chosen by a cast member or Impractical Joker. Callers will have the opportunity to pick a piñata, a weapon, and a Joker to smash it. Whatever’s inside the piñata the caller wins. They could win items including but not limited to: highly sentimental mementos from our cast, items the Jokers stole from each other, garbage Shannon found moments before air and whatever the Human Fish thinks belongs in a piñata. The only guarantee is that each item comes with a story and no matter what the viewer gets, we’re mailing it their way.
We’ll give you the phone number to call the show closer to the premiere, but if you want to be a Skype caller for this episode, you can fill out this form. If you’re not sure how to watch the show, we’ve got a guide for you here.
Ready or not, at 11pm ET on Thursday, August 3, we’re going live. You’re not gonna want to miss it.

International viewers, we are incredibly sorry to tell you that at this time you will not be able to watch the show live. Canadian viewers will be able to watch the recorded version after the fact, though we are still waiting for word on how long it will take for those episodes to air. The recorded episode will also run on truTV in the US.
International viewers outside of Canada will not be able to access the show on TV at all at this time, but we are working as hard as we can to get you information about possibly purchasing the show digitally. We will let you know as soon as we have any new information for you.
We also have plans in place to provide you with as much behind the scenes content as possible on social media - we may not be able to get the live show in front of you, but you’re still an incredibly important part of our community and we want to give you as many ways to stay involved as we can.
“How often does a TV show change your life?” The singular, supportive community of GethHeads has a message for Chris ahead of his first HBO special
Today was a tough one for the TCGS community. Our beloved friend @geehorff passed away last night. To say that most of us were heartbroken would be an understatement. For so many people this show and this community have changed our lives (myself included), and for so many of us, Geoff was the first one to welcome us in and make us feel at home. We’ll never be the same without him, but hopefully we’ll carry his generous and joyful spirit with us as we try to go on. It feels somehow fitting that today HBO released this video celebrating our singular community.
Connor is running for president again with the purpose of gaining national attention. His campaign slogan is “I’m with Her, look at me!” This is truly insane.
Ellie Kemper was on the show last night, and we attempted to create the happiest couple of minutes in all of television! Feeling down? This may just help you out.
