I'm really curious about this rp. What canons are taken? More specifically are Belle from beauty and the beast and little red riding hood open? Is Phoebe Tonkin available? Sorry that is a lot of questions.

will this be similar to season 1 of once upon a time? i loved the first season. also will characters be able to be more than one character? like how rumplestiltskin was the beast and the crocodile

Very similar to the first season of Once Upon A Time. It will start off in a small town without magic and change over time as magic becomes more prominent in Fables and doors to magical realms are unlocked. Characters will be limited to one canon identity.

Enchanted Forest

Classic fairy tales where forests or magical kingdoms are featured. Examples: Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Snow White.

Distant Shores

Stories that take place on islands or in oceans. Examples: The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Moana.

Whimsical Worlds

Unique worlds that are entirely their own. Examples: Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz.

Myths

Ancient mythology from around the world. Examples: Greek/Roman, Thor, Yōkai, Baba Yaga.

Legends

Stories that do not take place inside the enchanted forest. Typically have strong connections to history or cultures. Examples: Robin Hood, The Sword In The Stone, Mulan, Aladdin, Frozen.

Shared Staff Responsibilities

 Advertising

All staff members are required to handle 1 form of the advertising responsibilities. I will handle the first links and bumping the ads on resource sites. I would like to have someone dedicated towards posting the ad on tumblr resource sites and another person to keep up with the link backs. Something specific like advertising on reddit or only on proboards or replying to “looking for” ads on resources would also be helpful.

 Requirements

Good attitude.

Loves writing and willing to be involved in developing the core site plot as well as writing with new members.

Flexible and can work with all other members of the staff team.

Helpful not only to guests and members but to the staff as well.

Familiar with jcink acp.

Being actively involved in helping the site evolve and remain fun and exciting.

Staff need to be firm but also fair. Should we have to deal with a problematic member or two we should all stand together on decisions and support each other. 

Staff need to firmly understand the world and the rules and not be afraid to ask questions or make suggestions.

The Ever After universe is flexible but we all need to be on the same page as to what works and what doesn’t when approving applications.

The staff is expected to work as a team both to advance the site and to keep the community positive.

Graphics and coding abilities are greatly appreciated but not required.

The Future

The site is going to slowly expand over time with new worlds opening up as playable locations. Wonderland, Neverland, Camelot, and more will be added this means planning events and adventures as our site expands. Since the stories we are all familiar with are based on prophecies that have been altered, lost in translation, or reinterpreted over time the characters are given freedom to create their character they way they want to while still keeping close to the ‘soul’ of the canon and loosely connected to the story. The more involved the staff is with plotting with the characters the better we can craft unique site plots and events that would complement the characters on our board.

Site Goals

To be a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously or get hung up on arbitrary rules. Role playing should be a relaxing hobby free from judgement where everyone can write and interact with other member’s and just have fun. Ever After will focus on storytelling, character development, and community. 

The Ideal Applicant

looking for an rp home to help build and watch it grow over time and help shape what it will become.

I see a lot of potential for Ever After to be something unique and amazing and I want people that feel as passionately about that as I do on the staff team.

Someone that has a lot of enthusiasm for fairytales, myths and legends.

 People that are only looking to create interesting intricate character drama for the characters not the members.

Someone that is excited about the ideas and story’s they are creating for their own characters and enjoyment.

Someone that understands how much work it is to run a site and is willing to help and not leave all the work to everyone else.

Prophecy

This isn't a story of your character remembering who they were this is about discovering who they were always meant to be. On Ever After the stories and myths that have been passed down through generations are prophecies. Great storytellers of the past were unknowingly prophets predicting a future where magic would enter our world.  

The magic from the enchanted realms has been trying to enter our world. With the help of the belief in these stories magical keys have been created to help unlock the doors to these realms. The town of Fables, Oregon is where the veil between our world and the enchanted realms is the weakest. Up until this point the citizens have lived quiet, ordinary lives without magic. They have no idea of their destinies or the adventures awaiting them.
