hello everyone! i’m sure by this time everyone is really sick of me popping in and out of this blog as well as all the excuses i have when i come back but i’ve decided to do so anyway! my life has been pretty hectic this summer, and i am actually just out of recovery from heart surgery a few months back (around the time i kind of poofed lmao). so anyway, i’m going to do some revamping to this blog in the next couple of days but i totally understand if anyone has hesitance regarding interaction with me because i’m so incredibly spotty with activity. i’m really hoping i won’t be this time around, seeing as all of the times i’ve poofed have been health related. thanks so much to everyone for support! and sorry for this post being all over the place lmao sigh

SURPRISED AT the words that escape her lips, the male slowly sits upward and stretches his arms outward. she was giving her all protecting spira and following the footsteps of her father, and she had never given herself an hour of rest throughout the day? “YOU’VE NEVER napped before? man, have you missed out.” laughter emerges from his mouth, dropping his back to lay against the grass. it was as simple as sleeping, at least sleeping was an easy task for him. you find a comfortable position to lay in, let your eyes search around the room once more in the dark- and slowly let your eyelids drop. from there, you could count sheep or think of someone you cared for, and hope they would accompany your dream.
“IT’S EASY!” with his head turning a side, the corners of his mouth remain risen. “ALL YOU gotta do is close your eyes. try to focus on one thing- and then sleep!” hand stretching outward to take the wrist of the summoner, he pulls gently for her to join him.
she wasn’t one to exaggerate. perhaps she’d napped as a child, though there were no instances she could outright recall. yet as he spoke ( even if it be on something she knew a grain of salt about ), she looked to him as if he was the whole world. yuna admired his unwavering optimism, which did what it could to wear down her own, shrouded despondency - he made her see colors she thought she’d only ever dream of.
the summoner let him guide her body, falling to lay in the crook of his arm. her shoulders seized before they fell, a hand dropping to his chest where it absently toyed with the opening of his shirt. ❛ you make everything seem so simple, tidus. i don’t think i’ll ever be as good at napping as you are. ❜

– and she’d always care for him,for he was her morning anew in the darkest of times. she’d enjoyed the simple days they spent together, yet they grew more and more sparse as time went on. her thumb grazed over his sun kissed cheeks, eyes endearingly on his. the summoner was usually one to dwell in spring’s beauty, and had been infamous for sneaking to play in the springtime flowers as a child - they’d called her the girl with blossoms in her hair then, though that’d been when life was far from how it stood now - but despite her infatuation, she couldn’t be bothered to spend her attention on the bloom in his presence.
he’d never failed to make her laugh. her cheeks pinched tightly, a free hand raising over her mouth to conceal her laughter. ❛ a nap? ❜ yuna teased, ❛ i … i don’t think i’ve ever had one. i wouldn’t know where to start. perhaps you could teach me? ❜

WITH HIS head resting in the lap of the brunette, sapphire orbs focus between angelic facial features and light blue skies. what he enjoyed most about spring, was how the flowers slowly poked themselves through the earth and brought attention to the turning greens. there was no better way to express his current emotion but bliss, delicate fingers running through golden locks. he had never told anyone, but it was a reassuring feeling that he was cared for. it was something he secretly wished for- the passing of his mother and disappearance of his father, the athlete bottled emotions of neglect and loneliness.
A LONG yawn passes through his mouth, legs stretching out from a bent position. “UGH… tired…” he whines, gaze meeting mismatched hues. “WE SHOULD just take a nap. can’t summoners take breaks?”
