HISTORY.

The Wanderer’s Rest is part of what was once The Gridanian Initiative, now the Twin Adders’ Silver Efts subunit. It is a labour of love that came of small beginnings - operating out of a small office within an apartment block - and born of a hatred of the suffering of others and those who did naught to assist. The Silver Efts exists to support those who are refugees, those who are disabled, or those who are simply otherwise less fortunate than most. In working with its captain, Quinlivan O'Cathasaigh, and a growing number of civilian volunteers, they are helped to access accommodation (be it temporarily at the rest or a more permanent solution) and employment as well as personal growth and the acquisition of transferable skills so that they may find a way to contribute to society and be a part of the community in a way that suits them. Recently, the furnishing of and implementation of various facilities at the Rest has been completed and it is now well and truly open. Alongside its existence as a hostel, the Rest also functions as a hotel, café/restaurant, and educational facility that is open even to those with no affiliation with the Twin Adders nor with the Black Shroud as a whole Whatever it is that you need, we will be happy to accommodate you.

Whether you wish to work for us, associate with us, visit us, or reside at the Rest, we would be more than happy to have you. Being in the Free Company itself is not required to be a part of what we do nor do you even have to be on Mateus, thanks to the world visit system! We are open for roleplay not just in-game but also through our crossworld Linkshell (please /tell any online member of staff for an invite) and on our dedicated Discord server!
