i think. and i’m not certain if i’m gonna phrase this right but. i think ttpd will illuminate taylor in a way that will be more difficult for more surface level fans to process. everything i’m getting about ttpd sounds so nuanced and fraught and for lack of a better term ugly. and i feel like a lot of fans, especially those who came long after 2016, won’t understand the taylor that’s being revealed to us, and instead of appreciating the vulnerability required to be authentic and ugly, they’ll resent it. the fans who like the pre-packaged taylor they’ve crafted in their heads won’t enjoy the reality check. so they’ll make their gossipy tiktoks and ignore the person taylor has presented herself to be - a real person - because taylor was always merely content to them.
