In the movie The Santa Clause, one becomes Santa by putting on the red coat after the death of the previous Santa. Even ignoring how morbid this premise is on its own, it’s possible that there’s another even darker level to the story. When Scott Calvin shows up at the North Pole as the new Santa, not only do the elves not appear surprised, they seem happy to see him and not at all upset about the Santa he replaced. And furthermore, at the very beginning of the movie, we see an elf standing with a crowd of children outside a toy store near Scott’s house. Why would she already be there if she didn’t have some sort of prior knowledge of what was going to occur? This leaves me no choice but to conclude that the elves not only hated the previous Santa but actually orchestrated his demise.

tl;dr: In The Santa Clause, the elves totally murdered the previous Santa.

Plus some of the people playing the games give a great commentary to some (*stares at Markiplier*) games, and can even be so funny as to pull somebody out of some dark, upsetting hole they've dug themselves into. Some people watch Le's Plays as a coping skill to cope with serious issues. Being a poor person, how the fuck do you get 60 dollars and not spend it on something you've been needing to get or pay a bill with it?!

I’m not the kind of person who asks for help like this but I am in a terribly difficult situation and I need to reach out in some way. 

My extremely conservative Muslim parents are keeping me under strict lockdown (I’m not allowed to leave the house aside from attending class, they have a printout of my uni schedule, they drop me off/pick me up immediately, I’m not allowed a copy of the housekeys, they’re forcing me to quit both of my jobs, I’m not allowed to wear makeup in public ‘because it makes me look beautiful’, they’re withholding my citizenship/birth certificate/passport/other documents from me…. their demands/orders go on). 

They are also forcing me into an arranged marriage once I finish my undegrad. I’m 21 years old and from the Toronto area and am legally able to leave but because I’m still enrolled in university for another semester, I’m too afraid to leave now in fear that they’ll be able to find me when I leave (I have family that attend the same university as me.) The day that I leave, I don’t want them to be able to have any way of finding me. 

I have plans to live with my partner when I leave in April but any donations to help support us would be so appreciated. Neither of us are in the greatest financial situations. I want to legally change my identity so that they won’t be able to track me down and I need money for that; I also don’t know if I can work until I can have my identity legally changed - there’s a lot about this situation that I have no clue out about and would appreciate any sort of support. I also have a history of mental illness (depression/anxiety/borderline personality disorder) and my mental stability has been deteriorating as a result of my current state.

even my homophobic dad made a good point about homophobic people. he said that when you mention a gay couple to homophobes they always get disgusted and the first image that pops in their head is fucking in the ass, lesbian porn etc, etc and when you mention straight couples to them they think about two people holding hands and romantic shit like that. i hate this so much because homophobes consider gay people to be something disgusting and impure which is infuriating because they consider gay people to be these objects that only think about dick or pussy and that being gay is the only thing that ecompasses a gay person, like we don’t have personality or something

Our culture really romanticises the idea of a brooding misunderstood loner who’s an asshole to everyone but secretly has a heart of gold, so it’s frighteningly easy to meet a guy who treats everyone around him badly and believe without evidence that he has a heart of gold. 

Don’t fall for it.

And a lapse in cruelty is not evidence of kindness.
