He doesn't have much in ways of a present but after having realized the date at hand he couldn't have gone on without mentioning something. This finds Keith entering the room Pidge had holed off in, causally moving in and positioning himself behind her in all his sneaky glory. With a smile he flicks his fingers overhead, a light rain of paper letters like confetti sprinkling down from above her and spelling 'happy birthday.' He goes on to add; "there might be a present in the kitchen too."

Melancholy fingers hadbeen swiping through emotionally evocative pictures. The green paladin’s lipswere pursed and her attention, disengaged. Cognitive dissonance challenged herwandering thoughts as orbs of glazed amber tracked familiar faces stored on herpersonal computer.

It was her birthday – they’d been able todecipher a new calendar to work by – and compare against the Earth days of365(6).

Cooped up in her room,lights re-programmed to a dimmed setting, the small birthday girl hadn’tnoticed Keith step through into her private sphere – she’d leant her headphonesto Lance for his beauty sleep.

The confrontation ofcolourful confetti and drifting letters of an intended birthday wish, bloodrushed to her lips as her mouth dropped open in a small noise of surprise.Swiftly closing the gallery program Pidge turned her back towards the source ofthe disturbance – the celebratory paper settling in the nest of her brown hair.

It was rare and a sight,to find the sassy youth at a loss for words. Years spent of quality banter, butnot a single conjured sentence could present itself. Keith remembered my birthday. …a present in the kitchen?

A renegade breath caughtin her throat, her muscles contracting in order to hold back a shameful cry. Blinking at Keith, shefinally received his words.

“…what…kind of… p r e s e n t ?”
