Christopher Nolan’s Batman, a perfect choice to watch this summer.

The “Dark Knight Trilogy” is a set of three Batman movies directed by Christopher Nolan. It includes Batman Begins from 2005, The Dark Knight from 2008, and The Dark Knight Rises from 2012, it follows the classic history of batman, reimagined from Nolan’s perspective.

I believe that these three movies are a perfect choice in those evenings when you don’t have anything else to do, or even if you want to do a movie marathon with your friends, they have an interesting plot and a lot of action, all perfect for killing time.

Batman Begins

This movie recounts the origin of Batman, narrating the childhood of Bruce Wayne, his well-known accident with the bats and finally the tragic event that leads to some adventures in asiatic countries with the aim of understanding the need of the poor, after talking with a special someone who belonged to a group of people who claim to have the same goals as him, Wayne decides to join, and and thus begins to train.

A year passes, and Bruce is challenged with breaking his known rule: no killing, so he scapes, and wonders if they really shared their goals, so he returns to Gotham, as a vigilante, to take care of his dear city, soon he would meet with his powerful enemy: the scarecrow, that will try to destroy Gotham City at all costs, using his invention: the fear gas.

The Dark Knight

After defeating the scarecrow, the chief Gordon warns Batman about the escalation: every time the police make a technological breakthrough, the criminals get ahead of them. “We start carrying semi-automatics, they buy automatics. We start wearing Kevlar, they buy armor piercing rounds”, thus introducing his next adversary: the joker.

The Dark Knight is a direct sequel that takes place just at the end of the previous one, we are introduced to The Joker, a personality who does not seem to care about anything, is mentally damaged and it seems his only goal is to “watch the world burn”, he makes extremely far-fetched plans, as Gordon would say "he got a taste for the theatrical".

In this installment, we are shown the battle between these two characters, the idea of Batman as a symbol, as well as the ideas of Bruce Wayne, believing that Gotham City needs a savior that doesn't wear a mask. We later are introduced to the district attorney Harvey Dent, popular and good looking, who starts taking the role of the savior that Wayne wanted to, but The Joker will try to break and corrupt him.

The Dark Knight Rises

After the last movie, Wayne decides to leave batman in the past, eight years pass and a new menace threatens the city, we are introduced to Bane, the main antagonist, who wears a rather distinctive mask, and stands out for his great intellect to draw up plans, his connections with the league of shadows and above all his great resistance to pain. He also tries to destroy Gotham by establishing anarchy, locking up all the cops underground, and finally threatening the outside world with a nuclear bomb, claiming he would completely destroy the city if they intervened.

I really loved every single one of these movies, and the majority of the critics also claimed the movie is pretty good, having a grade of 85 for the first and the last movie, and a 94 for “The Dark Knight”. I would totally recommend that you watch them as soon as you have time, either by yourself or with your friends.

The reveals people are waiting for E3 2021!

What is the E3?

E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo, and as its name says it is the biggest and most important video game industry convention, where all companies talk about their next games release date, feedback on updates for released games, etc…. This convention used to be for employees only but since 2017 anyone who buys the entrance to the event could get in. On this event big pillars from the industry as Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, compete to “hype” the people so eventually they buy their game.

What would make the 2021 E3 special?

As I write this post, the 2021 E3 is going to be the first time this event will take place digitally and not like it used to be at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Another point that would make this event special is the companies that will be present. At this E3 we will see companies such as Nintendo, Microsoft, Capcom, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment by Koch Media, and some others. Each company has a game that people are waiting for the most, and that is the purpose of this text and I will talk more about it in the next paragraph.

Which are the 3 games people are waiting for the most?

It is no wonder that “leaks” have made people stay high alert about the news of a game that has been on their mind lately, these are some of the games that have made a lot of noise the last few weeks.

#3 Elden Ring.

The 3th place is taken by Capcom, especifically from Hidetaka Miyazaki whose creations have been hit games such as the Dark Souls saga and Sekiro achieved, people now relate his creations with great history and quality gameplay. This game has been heard by the community longer than two years, and the first and only information we got about it is a trailer launched one year ago, which doesn’t tell us a lot about the game but it had the necessary information to keep the community interested.

#2 The Legend of Zelda. Breath of the Wild 2.

We couldn’t skip the monster that Nintendo has become nowadays since the release of the Nintendo Switch. Zelda BOTW 1 was released the same time of the switch release and since then has become one of the best sellers games of the franchise and what some people call a jewel, that's why people expect that this sequel would have the same if not better quality than the first one.

#1 Halo Infinite.

It has been 6 years since the last Halo game release, a game which divided the fan base, and now the Halo team has gathered to revive the essence that made classic old Halo games. Although the making of the game has had its downs and ups, it looks like this is the year when we are going to see this game being released.

WWE, a creative form of entertainment

There are many forms of entertainment, from music to movies, and in this case, I will talk about wrestling. This particular form of entertainment features a combination of acting, sports, and music. Unlike movies, wrestling is performed live, like the theater actors. Actually, great actors and singers have come out of wrestling, like Elias, Dwayne Johnson, or John Cena, because they have the experience of performing live, and as time goes the acting comes naturally to them. Wrestling it's a place that tells you a story, from love to hate, and the wrestlers solve the problems in the ring.

Characteristics of a WWE wrestler

One of the advantages of the business is that it's performed with an audience, and the WWE performers depend on that, a reaction is expected from the audience that is watching the show. Each wrestler enters in a level, there are the legends, the main eventers, the mid cards, and the lowest level. Most of the time, the wrestlers face other competitors of the same level, but there are also times when the wrestlers face competitors of a different level. To get into the highest category, it is important to consider different aspects, like the charisma, the character, future vision of the wrestler, fighting ability, and credibility, but the most important thing to consider is the connection with the public.

Also, one of the most important things in this business is the characters. All the wrestlers and entertainers have a specific character, it could be the bad guy in the story, the good guy, the crazy guy, the high flyer, the loving guy, etcetera. There are even characters with powers. All of these characters are played by the wrestlers, and they are important for the development of a story, depending on the personality of each person is how they will react to a problem. Also, the personality can change, the good guy can become the bad guy, which gives us a diversity of characters, and we don't know what can possibly happen, everything can change in the next show, but, if the public doesn't like the character, the characters change or even the employees can be fired.

Work development

The writers are the persons who give the ideas, but at the end, the boss is the man who decides what is going to be done in the 2 hours of the show. Even the wrestlers when they develop their characters give ideas, however, the boss is the one who gives the final word. After the show is planned, the wrestlers are notified, and they must practice their roles and prepare for the day of the show. The entrances, the fireworks, everything that is done in the ring is planned, and practiced beforehand.

More Information

This company has 3 or 4 shows a week, depending on the month. WWE has its own website, where you pay $9.99 per month to watch their product and every show that happened over 30 years of history.

Personal Conclusion

In conclusion, the WWE is a type of show for a specific audience, where a lot of stories are presented, according to the personality of the characters, basically, it is a movie lived in person. Personally, I really like this type of entertainment. It combines a lot of aspects that give great diversity to the product, because it's not just wrestling, in fact, it's not the main objective of the business, the main idea of this company is to build a character and entertain, and for me, it's fun to watch. And finally, for those who like the stories and action, I recommend watching this type of entertainment.

The World Ends With You, an overlooked gem

Most people who are into the RPG genre of videogames are familiar with Square Enix. However, there is one game developed by this company that doesn’t see nearly as much recognition as franchises such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest or Kingdom Hearts, when surprisingly most of the comments it does manage to receive are in the form of praise. That is The World Ends With You, and with the game recently getting an anime adaptation and an upcoming sequel, it’s a great time to quickly go through what makes it so beloved.

Just what is this game about?

This game was first released in 2008 in America for the Nintendo DS, later being ported to mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch. It puts you in the shoes of Neku Sakuraba, a teenager with a disdain for social interaction and no memories other than his own name, who suddenly finds himself in a life-or-death challenge in Shibuya known as the Reapers’ Game, where Players must battle monsters known as Noise and complete missions during the course of a week to avoid being erased.

However, Players cannot fight the Noise without a partner, and as such, our protagonist is forced to join forces with a girl named Shiki Misaki to survive these seven days.

While this story may seem like it has a clear ending in sight, you’ll quickly realize the Reapers’ Game merely works as the setting for what is a narrative heavily driven by its cast and its development. The struggles these characters present feel genuine and their growth doesn’t feel too sudden or forced.

A stylish Shibuya

The characters have unique designs with striking colors and are drawn with thick outlines that help them stand out in the environments you’ll see both exploring the map and in combat. The background art is also flashy and shows the art direction of this game well.

Dialogue and cutscenes are displayed in a format similar to that of a comic book, with still portraits of the characters and text boxes. Despite most of these lacking animations, the art used for them looks sharp and clean.

The music is also a joy to listen to. It was composed by Takeharu Ishimoto and covers many genres, such as rock, hip hop and electronica to fit the streets of Shibuya, with new rearrangements in the Switch release.

The odd battle system

The battle system is a unique one in this game, as it uses touch or motion controls to move and activate attacks, which are represented through pins. Depending on the version you’re playing, you can directly control your partner at the same time as Neku or have them as a sort of permanently equipped attack. Difficulty is really accessible here, as you can change it whenever you want while having incentives to increase it, such as higher item drop rates.

"Wall-E" The best movie that Disney has created.

Wall-E is the name of a Disney movie that was released in 2008 and tells the story of a little robot called Wall-EE, he was part of a group of robots designed to clean up the planet earth but it seems that by not receiving maintenance the other robots were disappearing. A devastating scenario is shown in which the planet has been completely destroyed by contamination, and the remaining humans find themselves surviving in a mini floating city created as a temporary habitat until the restoration of nature on the planet. This film leaves us a great message through different aspects of which I'm going to speak now.

Reflection on contamination

It is shown that in the future the planet may run out of vegetation and be completely full of garbage and waste. This makes us think that we need to make a change and start recycling and stop throwing away so much plastic. At some point the planet may become uninhabitable for the human population, resulting in the end of all life on the planet. In the film comes the hope of recovering the vegetation thanks to the fact that Wall-E found a living plant, which was the origin of a great adventure in which the little robot saved the planet.

Technology development

Just like Wall-E, thousands of robots designed to restore the planet from contamination were also created, however there was too much garbage accumulation that most did not resist. There were also more modern personal help robots such as Eva, with whom Wall-E creates a beautiful loving relationship, something that is currently not possible to happen. Also, we can see that the technology is too advanced because the surviving humans find themselves living in a ship that is basically controlled by technology. What I find most interesting are the emotions that artificial intelligence can develop and the power they can have over humans. We can observe this because even though the ship had a captain, it was run by a robot that turned evil.

Bad lifestyles

When Wall-E arrives at the ship of the humans, he realizes that they do not even talk to each other physically, they only live totally depending on technology to transport and communicate, that has led them to have poor health conditions and problems with relationship. This can also make us reflect on the path we are leading society on and the damage that this can cause. For this reason, some changes need to be made and it’s necessary to promote activities that make us relate and adequate development so that future generations can enjoy the good things of life.
