Venture Proposal
Interview on Market Needs
Date: February 18, 2024
Interviewee: CMU Students
On February 18, 2024, an interview was conducted on the students of Central Mindanao University, to identify pressing needs regarding their daily struggles with the products/ services they need. The purpose was to gain insight into the challenges faced daily and to propose viable solutions to address them.
During the interview, several key issues were highlighted:
1. Lack of Transportation
One of the prominent challenges faced by the campus community is the lack of transportation options within the campus premises. The interviewed students emphasized the difficulty of commuting between different locations, especially during peak hours or inclement weather conditions. This lack of convenient transportation significantly affects the mobility and accessibility of students and staff.
2. Limited Food Services
Another significant concern raised during the interview was the inadequacy of food services available during late hours. The interviewees expressed frustration over the limited options for late-night dining, especially during study sessions or group activities that extend into the evening. This shortage of food services hampers convenience and contributes to inconvenience for those staying on campus during late hours.
In response to the identified challenges, several potential solutions were discussed:
1. Share-a-ride
To address the transportation issue, it was proposed to establish an online share-a-ride service platform that connects drivers with passengers within the campus community. This platform would enable students and staff to easily find and share rides to and from various locations on campus, enhancing mobility and reducing the reliance on traditional transportation methods. By leveraging technology, such as mobile apps or web-based platforms, the campus community can enjoy convenient and cost-effective transportation solutions.
2. Online Food Services
To cater to the demand for late-night dining, it was suggested to implement online food services that offer a wide variety of food options for delivery or pick-up during late hours. This could involve partnering with local restaurants or establishing an online marketplace where students and staff can order food from a selection of vendors. By providing online food services, the campus community can enjoy greater convenience and access to a diverse range of dining options, even during late hours.
Budget
Furthermore, it was noted during the interview that the campus community is willing to pay a service fee of 50 pesos and below for the proposed transportation and food services. This agreement on the acceptable service fee reflects the affordability and accessibility considerations of the campus population, ensuring that the proposed solutions remain feasible and economically viable.

In conclusion, the interview highlighted the pressing needs of the campus community regarding transportation and food services. By identifying these challenges and proposing viable solutions, such as the introduction of a campus shuttle service and the expansion of late-night food options, steps can be taken to improve the overall campus experience and enhance the well-being of students and staff. Additionally, the agreement on the acceptable service fee underscores the importance of affordability and accessibility in catering to the needs of the campus community. Moving forward, further collaboration and action are needed to implement these solutions effectively and address the identified challenges comprehensively.

Every Challenge is a Lesson and Every Success is a Milestone
The first meeting on our subject, GEE 16 The Entrepreneurial Mind, was a blast! We were introduced to our lovely instructor, Sir Tracy, where he told us what GEE16 or Entrepreneurial Mind was all about.
We really didn't think much of it due to the fact that we're engineering students, what use could this subject be to us? I was wrong! Being an entrepreneur or having an entrepreneur mind was a really big deal when it comes to all of us.
1. Innovation
Having an entrepreneurial mind gives us more creativity. Creating or innovating things where it solves more struggles that we constantly face.
2. Resilience
It allows us to bounce back at setbacks and failures, never giving up. It gives us another perspective, turning failures into opportunities.
3. Autonomy
Entrepreneurs enjoy the freedom and autonomy to pursue their passions and shape their own destinies, rather than being confined by traditional career paths.
4. Risk Taking
It is the willingness to take risks in pursuit of our goals, understanding that failure is part of the journey to success.
