Hello my name is Brenda Lizbeth, today I come to tell you about my experience of my voluntary participation in a program of environmental practices called "Protection of the oceans, seas and coasts of Mexico" this time we traveled to the southern coast of the country (Acapulco, Guerrero) with a hot climate.
The purpose of this program is for society to become aware of the importance of caring for and protecting our marine resources from the threats they currently face: pollution from single-use plastics, climate change and species trafficking.
We have been here for 2 weeks and we have already visited 3 beaches where
· we collected garbage that tourists leave when they visit these areas.
· We create educational workshops for children where we teach them to make trash cans with bottle caps.
· We give a talk about the illegal trafficking of species, where we explain the direct and irreversible impact on ecosystems and their biodiversity.
· We made biodegradable publicity of our program to have more volunteers to this cause.
· Attend recycling collection centers in Acapulco to verify their operation.
And soon
· I will publish videos on youtube showing the level of environmental damage that we generate and how to avoid them.
· I will schedule an event through social networks for a walk along the coast in order to collect the garbage that is found.
· I will visit schools to promote environmental education
· I liked to share my experience and I hope to have your support.

Hi, I´m Vanessa Arevalo, I joined UNICEF through the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Program in 2017.
I ventured on my journey with UNICEF in the Education in Emergencies (EiE) program in refugee camps.
I´m currently in Bangladesh, in the Kutupalong-Balukhali camp; the climate here is monsoon, meaning that in summer the winds blow from south to north, loaded with rain and in winter, are winds that come dry and cold.
The overall objective of the program, Education in Emergencies, is to support countries facing post-crisis emergencies and transitions as they seek to establish a viable path for sustainable progress toward quality basic education for all.
Activities I have done since my arrival in the camp.
· Currently I´m in charge of more than 25 students with different age ranges, in the same classroom, my role is to teach them the most basic, such as literacy and basic mathematics.
· I helped children to acquire some control over the situation through children's games
· I worked communication and participation with children and adolescents (provided support to them to feel accepted and valued)
· Along with the helped of parents and children, we help reintegrate those who have been recruited into armed groups.
· I made kits and teaching materials, for colleagues who were integrated. <3
In a few more days I´ll move to another area of this camp…
· So I plan to look for teachers in the refugee population who are willing to bring children and adolescents together and in this way organize activities.
· I´ll take a training course on basic psychological notions.
· I´ll train future colleagues in the available use of educational materials and aids.

Hello guys, I'm Yenedith Yunixy, today I’m writing to tell you about my experience being a volunteer assistant in an environmental program called Comprehensive Solid Waste Management for Mexico City 2016-2020.
The trip began on Saturday, October 14 at seven in the morning, I took a bus at the Toluca terminal, which took me to Mexico City. The whole trip was very uneventful and lasted only two hours.
Upon arriving in Mexico City, they welcomed me to a camp near the center of the same city, and that's where I stayed for two weeks.
The weather was very cold at night and very warm in the morning
As I mentioned earlier, the name of the program was comprehensive solid waste management for Mexico City 2016-2020 and its objective was to establish guidelines for Mexico City to properly manage the solid waste it generates, through the subprograms, applicable and measurable public policies that involve the different sectors of society.
Some of the activities I did were:
· I carried out a plastic recycling campaign.
· I made crafts with reused solid waste.
· I cleaned some main streets in Mexico City.
· I distributed brochures on the importance of caring for the environment.
· I attended conferences of the same program.
However, I plan to do some activities such as:
· I am going to go to the Mexico City landfill next Monday.
· I am going to give a lecture about solid waste and the importance of reducing it.
· I will carry out a solid waste separation program.
Well that's all I want to tell you guys for today, I hope to write you another new experience soon, bye
