like even with zoom exploding in popularity at the height of the pandemic, you still can't get an ID online, at least in america. you have to go out to the DMV, which could be hella busy depending on where you are.

yes, i know the government's full of boomers. that's why they need a team that has expertise in web dev.

i miss it.

i'm still waiting for a lightweight discord/guilded/telegram alternative that'll smack them all in the face. no servers, no channels, just plain old group chat.

…yes i know group chats were a thing long before discord, but putting hundreds of users in one has clearly done irreparable damage to the internet.
