Con el último post me surgió una duda. Vos crees que Harry maneja sus cuentas en redes sociales o son manejadas por su equipo? Es que a veces lo siento muy lejano a lxs fans pero soy consciente de lo mucho que nos ama

Hola anon, no sé de cuando es esta pregunta (seguramente tiene desde los Grammys de estar acá 😭) porque no tiendo a responder nada ya que nunca me preguntan nada JAJAJAJAJ, así que perdón. Igualmente aprovecharé para responder esto porque han estado trayendo este tema de nuevo en estos días.

Para mis las redes sociales de Harry las maneja tanto él como su equipo, es claro que son utilizadas más para promoción que para otra cosa, lo cual es completamente normal en un celebridad A-list como lo es Harry. Pero además Harry ha dicho muchas veces que no le gusta utilizar redes sociales y es que el fandom es una locura, y los medios también, todo lo que hace Harry es analizado y a veces malinterpretado, entonces creo que conociendo a Harry y lo privado que es, es normal que simplemente se decida a no usar redes sociales.

Los mensajes que nos deja, como el de su cumpleaños, aniversario de Fine Line, etcétera para mi son hechos por el, no tiene nada de malo pasarle lo que quieres decir a tu equipo y que ellos lo suban por ti, o algo así, es algo COMPLETAMENTE NORMAL. Tenemos que entender que Harry es una celebridad, un famoso (cada día lo es más), por lo tanto su uso de las redes sociales va a ser muy diferente.

Nunca entenderé cual es la necesidad que tienen todos de que tenga actividad en redes sociales para que tengan una “conexión con el” o para que lo que haga “se sienta más real”, o para no sentirlo alejado de nosotros, no tiene absoluto sentido porque en cada momento que tiene nos deja saber que nos ama y que esta realmente agradecido con el apoyo que le damos, nos dice que somos sus mejores amigos, que le damos un espacio para ser libre haciendo lo que le gusta y un largo etcétera de cosas hermosas. Igualmente da risa como se contradicen ya que en las pocas veces que aparece en Twitter (por ej) salen enseguida a decir que el no escribió eso, fue por promo, etc etc. La verdad nunca sé que esperan de Harry, porque cuando obtienen lo que supuestamente quieren igual se quejan. Prefiero que este alejado de las redes con todo lo que pasa alrededor a el diariamente... además Harry nunca ha sido tan activo en redes, no entiendo que desean ahora si en parte no tenemos nada desde hace años (+7 años 😭).

A todos nos gustaría tener un ídolo activo en redes sociales, si, pero si para ustedes la conexión y el amor que tienen por su ídolo se basa en un tweet o algo asi... mmmm, para mi no tiene mucho sentido. Prefiero tener un ídolo con paz mental al menos en el aspecto de lo que a redes sociales se refiere, que un ídolo obligado a interactuar y saturarse por esas redes.

Harry, su carrera, closeting y Jeff: hora de replantearse las ideas.

Me gustaría saber quien les metió en la cabeza a ustedes que el closeting se regia por contratos, tienen esa mala costumbre de pensar que absolutamente todo lo que hace, en este caso Harry, es regido por cientos de contratos los cuales lo dejan sin una gota de control sobre su carrera encerrándolo como un pobre infeliz el cual odia lo que hace y siempre tiene que estar fingiendo, cuando basándonos en los testimonios de otros artistas que han sido enclosetados, esto no es así. Todos los testimonios tienen un factor en común y es el hecho de que no salieron del closet por una mezcla de presión, miedo a destruir su carrera y otros diversos factores de alguien que claramente no quiere dejar de hacer lo que tanto ama, y ustedes viendo a Harry literalmente temblando, nervioso y con la voz por todos lados de la emoción de ganar un Grammy ¿creen que arriesgaría eso? El problema hubiese sido que no se hubiese emocionado, pero no podía ni articular una oración que tuviera sentido y dejo su premio tirado sin darse porque ESTABA FELIZ.

Debe llegar un momento en el cual ustedes puedan admitir que Harry quiere tener una carrera, quiere seguir creciendo, tener éxito y que no odia a todos a su alrededor porque esas personas que ustedes han demonizado (nos agraden o no) lo ayudan a seguir creciendo. Me molesta especialmente el hecho de que no puedan ver a Harry feliz, no puedan reconocer el hecho de que Harry ESTÁ feliz y cómodo haciendo lo que le gusta, que crean que siempre miente y que nunca es totalmente genuino cuando todo ese pensamiento hace parte de una narrativa que, aunque no tenga sentido no dan para soltar porque tienen esa mala costumbre de ver a Harry como una victima que no sabe nada. En parte no los culpo, en este fandom es difícil soltar ese pensamiento cuando todos los días estamos recordando a un Harry de 19, a un Harry de 21, siempre a un Harry del pasado junto con situaciones pasadas, lo que hace que tengan esa mentalidad de “AY POBRECITO NO SABE NADA, está siendo manipulado y controlado” cuando él sabe perfectamente lo que hace con su carrera. Si, es un asco que no pueda ser completamente abierto en pleno 2021, pero esa es la homofobia de la industria y de la sociedad en general y Harry tiene mucho más claro que nosotros eso. Pero deben saber que ya no todo es como hace casi ONCE AÑOS, los contratos de los que tanto hablan ya cambiaron, todo va cambiando, Harry también.

Para estar donde el esta, y donde el VA a estar (porque no para de crecer) hay que sacrificar mil y una cosas, ser completamente abierto con su sexualidad es una de ellas. Estén felices de que puede vestirse como quiere, que es un icono en toda su expresión por ello, que puede plantear posturas como que el genero para el es algo que no tiene línea divisiorias, y un sin numero de acciones que demuestran que no esta tan encerrado en “la jaula” como parece, porque también quieren hacer ver que le obligan a vestirse y expresarse así, cuando se nota que el estaba completamente feliz y seguro de si mismo en los outfits que se colocó y coloca, si Alessandro Michele dice que con Harry siempre buscan ir un paso más adelante pues escuchen bien a su ídolo porque el mismo ha dicho que su carrera la definiría como un “go big or go home” y se esfuerza ÉL para demostrarlo y superarse.

Harry está protagonizando no una si no dos películas, ha ganado varios premios y ayer gano un Grammy, su último álbum es una obra de arte en su total expresión y está teniendo todo el reconocimiento que merece, ¿pueden estar felices por una vez? ¿Pueden dejar de seguir toda una misma historia y pensar un poco más allá?

Obviamente la fama no es color de rosa, obviamente Harry no es completamente libre, creo que eso está de más decirlo pero eso no quiere decir que TODO lo que hace o no hace es en contra de su voluntad o no lo hace completamente como Harry lo haría. La industria es una mierda, claramente, pero es una mezcla entre sus propias decisiones y muchísimos factores externos que no puede ser completamente abierto (ustedes saben a lo que me refiero también) con su sexualidad. Tienen una idea preconcebida del closeting QUE ESTA MAL, y cualquiera que llega a decirles algo que no cuadra con esa idea también está mal.

Llegados a este punto, no admiro a Jeff, no me agrada, pero no es el enemigo mortal de Harry ni tampoco el demonio que USTEDES lo han hecho ver, porque de nuevo, no cuadra con su narrativa, tampoco me agrada la label donde está, porque I mean, es Sony, y se nota la manera en la que quieren dinero. No defiendo de ninguna manera el hecho de que Harry no pueda ser completamente abierto por situaciones externas, porque es desagradable que para ser exitoso tenga que hacer aquello, pero tienen que entender que para hacer ciertas cosas hay que sacrificar algunas otras. Véanlo todo desde la perspectiva de negocios, de lo que da más dinero, más éxito, Harry es alguien que vende DEMASIADO, y nos guste o no, la manera en la que lo han vendido, pues valga la redudancia, vende y claramente Sony va a asegurar que eso siga siendo así porque Harry es uno de sus artistas que más ganancias les trae, pero no actúen como que a Harry el ser famoso y exitoso le duele, porque es más que obvio que no. El marketing no es malo. No actúen como que su equipo no hace las cosas bien, que no lo promueve bien. Etc, porque de nuevo es incoherente, el trabajo que hacen para promover a Harry y su arte les aseguro es envidiado por muchos artistas.

Harry tiene una buena relación así sea de negocios con Jeff, y se nota siempre que se sienten cómodos el uno con el otro, les guste o no es así, Harry es una persona ambiciosa, y Jeff en serio le ayuda a encontrar las oportunidades que desea llegar a tener, le está ayudando a quitar el estigma de “ex-boybander” y a consolidarse como el icono que es, y eso deben aceptarlo, Harry tiene todo el talento del mundo, pero para explotar eso al máximo necesita ayuda. No hace a Harry una mala persona el que se den cuenta que el quiere estar donde está y llegar aún más alto.

Ya concluyendo y entrando a un momento más actual, quiero hablar sobre la reacción de Harry al ganar su GRAMMY, y que haya ido a abrazar a Jeff (repitiendo ese punto), me pregunto ¿en serio odian tanto ver a su ídolo feliz? ESTABA FELIZ, estaba emocionado, en shock, su reacción fue totalmente genuina, es el como que a todo tengan que darle tantas vueltas, si lo abrazó así es porque es alguien que aprecia y pues ESTABA EMOCIONADO, se los repito de nuevo, FELIZ Y EMOCIONADO. ¿O el abrazo a Billie no fue real? ¿Ese también fue actuado? Iba a saludarla y se le tiró encima a abrazarla porque estaba tan feliz. Y ustedes antes de pensar que algo fue actuado deberían pensar y anteponer la felicidad de Harry siempre. Tienen un problema demasiado grande a la hora de apreciar los logros y la felicidad de Harry, siempre tienen que analizarlos para rebajarlos y decir que x o y cosa fue planeada, ¿a quién admiran entonces? ¿O acaso creen que porque esté enclosetado debe estar 24/7 triste? NO ES ASÍ. Siéntanse felices por la felicidad de Harry, siempre que hace algo deben encontrarle algo malo.

SEAN COHERENTES, Harry sabe perfectamente lo que hace, al igual que Louis y ambos saben lo que hacen juntos y que fichas mueven, saben lo que pueden perder si hacen x o y cosa, ellos tienen perfectamente claro que la industria es una mierda y que para ser famosos y estar donde están deben sacrificar muchas cosas. Harry sabe que para ser famoso, seguir teniendo el privilegio de hacer LO QUE AMA Y LO QUE LE GUSTA, ser exitoso y VENDER, no es recomendable tomar una postura radical hacia algo, por lo tanto sabe que no es recomendable salir del closet, por más que no pueda gustarle, y por más que sea algo desagradable. Por las cosas que dice Harry sabe que nosotros como fans sabemos que todo es muy diferente a como lo pintan los medios (porque estos también son una mierda) y sabemos quien es Harry de verdad.

Dejen por un momento sus conspiraciones y teorías de lado, no todo debe analizarse, no todo debe ser malo, no siempre Harry es una pobre víctima. Les importa a veces más el teorizar que estar felices junto con su ídolo, que se merece que estén totalmente orgullosos de él.

i think a big part as to why some people just cannot blame harry for anything (jeff is the reason for everything blablabla) is that to a lot of people he‘s still seen as a young boy. and that comes from us obviously seeing old pictures of the boys on a daily basis, sometimes it feels like more than 1 version of them exist when in reality there‘s only the current version of them. like long haired harry was 6. years. ago. that is SO long but it doesn‘t feel like it cause we still watch the videos and see the pics in which he had that haircut. so i guess when something happens like harry not speaking up for trans rights for example, they picture frat boy harry or prince hair harry not 2020 harry who‘s 27 years old - a grown man, a business man really, who definitely has got a feeling of what is right and what is wrong. i get it a little though because we don‘t get regular content especially in these crazy times, so people clinge onto older footage of the boys but fail to realize that their frat boy phase was almost a decade ago. they‘re grown men now, they have responsibilities and not going around with masks when you know you‘re being photographed and you have a platform of millions cannot be excused. if you excuse it you‘re either dumb, up his ass, living in the past where he‘s this innocent 18 year old or all 3 at once.

I think that’s definitely a part of it. I think people haven’t realised that One Direction was 5 years ago, and Harry, at least, seems like he got out of it and was free enough to sign contracts at his discretion and work with people he has hand chosen/shop around a bit. 

He’s not a child anymore and he’s not completely at the mercy of the boyband machine. 

I do think another part of it is people wanting to keep everything very black and white because that’s easier to process and easier to cope with. If Harry is the supreme victim and hasn’t got the authority to make a single choice around his life or career, then everything that happens that people don’t like can’t be attributed to him and is someone else's fault. 

I do think there are things that are someone else's fault, like shitty merch and some of the narratives around albums and the fact that artists like him have to stay closeted to even have opportunities, but other things are either Harry’s choices (like the films) or things Harry would have to be compromising on or working with his team on. And some things are straight up on him, like his covid behaviour or picking lots of white films/hanging out with only white people or not using his voice more.

Just wondering, since you seem to know so much about closeting and the music industry, can you give me another example of an artist being forced by their label to pretend to have impregnated a woman and then being forced to pretend to be the father of the baby when it's been born, and then being forced to sign the baby's birth certificate? Because I've searched everywhere and I can't find any and I'd hate to think you were just lying to yourself because you can't accept reality.

George Michael was portrayed as a womanizing cad while closeted until he finally came out and was still treated poorly by his label. Even still after his death his loved ones were treated with articles dismissing them and their love and portraying him poorly.

Freddie Mercury’s sexuality is still erased to this day and Trump used his songs during the campaign alongside a man who believes in torturing gay children.

Kristen Stewart was painted as a homewrecking whore in an attempt to push the narrative of her being completely straight and in love with men even though she and I both knew she played for the other team when we were like twelve.

Robert Pattinson was portrayed as wanting to marry her and have kids with her to push this Hollywood narrative and sell more twilight nonsense.

Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Lou Reed all still have their sexualities erased to this day. I’ve had arguments with ignorant morons who refuse to accept Lou Reed was into guys.

There’s Lance Bass of course. And Clay Aiken.

Not to mention the country singer who came out a few years ago and all the comments on all the articles were hate speech and his own fans turning against him.

Kevin Spacey is a special subject and I’m wary to mention him. He was outed against his own will and still has yet to comment on it himself so I’m wary to include this but it is an example and a good example of how not to be - don’t out people against their will. It’s a shitty thing to do. Show compassion and dignity.

Matt Bomer was marketed as a ladies man during White Collar and Magic Mike.

Anderson Cooper was quietly living his life and speculations stirred and then he addressed the subject of his sexuality.

Marlon Brando and James Dean also marketed and sold as ladies men and many refuse to accept they were gay.

Ginsberg and Whitman were gay as the day is long but countless students in my classes don’t know that and often refuse to accept that.

I could go on. Maybe I will later. The point is not every case is going to be “fake baby” like you believe it should be in order to prove something. The fact is that these celebrities have all been closeted and marketed with a specific image in mind. I don’t know why you’re so hung up on a birth certificate. That’s not legally binding you know. If it was, there’d be many cases of baby daddies being penalized for supporting kids that aren’t theirs and claiming the children as their own without knowledge of anything different. The closet isn’t always going to be Louis’ case because Louis’ case is an extreme. But it can be a bearded marriage, hiding your true spouse, hiding your loved one, keeping up the image of being a womanizer or just a straight laddy lady in the media despite who you are behind closed doors.

If I wasn’t about to start class, I’d probably hand your ass to you via countless journal articles about the music industry and closeting/public images. If you grew a brain, you could do that research yourself. The music industry is Satan. They can get away with literally murder if it’ll sell records, and they have. They can get away with rape, with abuse, with mental and emotional torture, with overworking clients, with physically causing damage to their clients health and wellbeing. If you’re blind enough to ignore all this, then I don’t know what more to tell you. It must be nice living in such delusion, but for me I’d rather not live in a passive state of delusion. I’d rather educate myself and be active and learn the histories and help to give voice to those who maybe died without one.

Now then, I have class soon. If I feel even more bitter later, I might come back to this post with sources and more research. But I have classes to attend and adulting to do. I encourage you though to do some research on your own and take the time to listen to these stories and not speak over, not diminish, not dismiss these voices.
