evangeline was born due to sheer stress on the part of her mother at milan fashion week. premature but perfectly healthy, she was shipped across the globe as soon as her mother was able to her waiting father, and his everpresent gaze. the ticking in his shop was one of her first memory, the silence interrupted by the sounds of 40 grandfather clocks. from there and onwards, time has haunted her. in her youth she was in any activity one could fathom for a child of the rich, from horseback riding in the hamptons, to needlework with her grandmother. everything was offered to her as a means of getting her into some form of a career- to follow in the footsteps of her artisan parents, and the lineage of craftsmen she came from. the piano in the corner of her family's home stared her down daily, told by her mother it was a fruitless endeavour, no matter how it called to her. by her teens her mother had given up on the fruitless effort to separate evangeline from the piano and the violin that lived in the halls before her. she soared in orchcestras, won accolades for her piano arrangements, and found love in her vocal training as well. despite all of this, she still was not seen as a true "prodigy" in her mother's eyes, was not seen as anything worth giving a legacy to. thus, she was placed into an arranged marriage with the next in a line of family friends, told to keep her head up and stick through it even if she did not enjoy it. within the two years following the engagement, evie debuted her first album, to critical acclaim, and a grammy nomination was almost secured the instant that it was released. her fame soared to new heights, people who had not even known her parents were aware of her name, and she finally was able to separate herself from the engagement she so dreaded. freed from the stipulations her mother placed on her life, evangeline remained in new york, finding herself still connected to the streets that cared for her, and the people she knew the routines of like the back of her hand. she can be seen in local coffee shops, with a bagel in hand, and at the new york orchestra, helping with arrangements for her upcoming shows.

— i do not know how to describe her other than a bit...... airy. she's just kind of in the clouds a lot of the time. generally ungrounded and fantastical — she is incredibly scared of romance even though all she writes about is romance, primarly due to the whole ex fiance thing. she is still enamoured with the idea of it, but fearful of its presence in her own life. — constantly smells like vanilla and honey, as well as a tinge of old paper. kind of like a library on a sunny day — she wears a tiny braid in her hair on almost all occasions, out of her habit of playing with her own hair. it's never secured, and is just done to calm her nerves. — she bakes a loaf of bread for herself twice a week, and a baked good (a brownie, cookie, etc) at least once a week for her neighbors and housekeepers. — she tries to keep herself grounded in day to day life — she takes the subway and public transit almost everywhere she can.
