I blame our species lack of personal preservation on how we have distanced ourselves from nature so much, and have created our own world separate from the one we live on.

But I think it would do good to take some lessons from nature. Even the most faintest flower will attempt to bloom, and when it does, its colors remind us that anything is possible, that in giving up too early, we lose the chance to truly see us bloom.
