Some updates on what I'm working on for my fanfic -- I'm in my drawing phase right now because the writing/coding is mostly done.

Giant out of context spoiler, but I decided to give Vuzgamand a glow-up. Yes, I'm sorry I had a "oh no she's hot" moment yet again. I needed to change her design a bit for my fanfic. This is still a work in progress, but I wanted her design to scream sexy, dangerous, evil, boss-lady. I kept the same color theme and sorta the same clothing design. She'll have a weapons in my fanfic! And along with my Nitsa re-design, Vuzgamand will also have a "demon" version with altered skin and eyes.

Following Lovestruck tradition, yes...Vuzgamand doesn't know how to button up her shirt either. Boobies out, let's go!

Bakunawa (Philippine) – A giant deep-sea relative of the Abaia, looking much like an enormous gulper eel, named after the moon-eater which is long-dead in my project, their ENORMOUS maws can swallow much bigger creatures than themselves.

Kugdlughiak (Inuit) – Mythika’s very own Remorhaz-like creature was added to the Deathcrawlers / Monstrous Centipede family, as it really suits there.

Bilwis (German) – This relative of the Ebajalg is another small tornado-like elemental of air. Bilwis are mostly found destroying farming grounds or plants as their whirling winds are full of plant material, leaves, twigs and such. Whenever a plant creature is on the battlefield the Bilwis becomes more aggressive all-around and gains serious bonuses to its attack and rage.  

Bugul Noz (French/Breton) – The goblin family gained a new member. The Bugul Noz isn’t such a bad guy, they are much less evil than their more “attractive” cousins, but their appearance can kill other creatures with one look. These are one of the few creatures that can kill an enemy/hero in one hit/gaze. Looking into the extremely ugly faces of these creatures is lethal and the Bugul Noz know this and that is why they are sad and grumpy, wearing capes most of the time to cover their horrid faces.

Boroboroton (Japanese) – Related to the weaker Ittan-Momen, these self-animated blankets love to struggle and suffocate their victims till death follows slowly. Boroboroton’s are Tsukumogami which were formed from discarded blankets in which horrid murders where committed, most Boroboroton’s still have blood stains and spatters on them.  

Japeusa (Paraguay) – These giant hermit crabs love to toy with their victims and play tricks on their minds by stalking them from various covers. Like most hermit crabs the Japeusa loves to make homes from the most bizarre objects, these can be discarded shells of other giant creatures, giant skulls of giants, parts of the coral reefs, and some even create their homes/shells from metallic parts, armor, weapons and shields taken directly from their victims. Japeusa are more tricksters than outright evil, but they still hunt humanoids for their flesh.

Pech (Scottish) – Relatives of the Kobolds, but much more powerful. Pech, like their weaker relatives, also make their home in mines and caves, and they can control and shape the very earth and stone around them in the way they see fit. Pech can create Earth-like Golems with their mind and often ride their self-made beasts of burden into battle. Pech can see in total darkness and they don’t need the lantern/candle that their weaker relatives use. Like the Karzelek the Pech loves treasures and gemstones.

Koto Furunushi (Japanese) – Strange Tsukumogami which resemble beautiful harps. They play haunting melodies that can curse their enemies or empower demonic and undead allies. More info coming in time, still making things up for this one.

Yann-An-Oed (French) – This one is difficult because I can’t show the picture I’ve seen in my new Kobold Press bestiary! I really love that alien-looking version but it is nothing like the real myth, which is more like a gnome in a boat with a raincoat on which uses the sound of an owl…  I’m still going more in the direction of the Kobold Press version for this creature as I could use more alien water beings. Toad-like tentacle beings which in my project are alien creatures, hunting in the same waters as the Mamlambo, finding their way towards earth through the same portals the Grey used to invade Earth.

Also added the Kikituk, which is a greater variant of the Tupilaq, both are Bone Golems, bony creatures that aren’t undead. While the Tupilaq is very small, the Kikituk is very big, it can form its body into any bony form it desires, spare for the skull, which is always the same, that of a random huge monster, dragon or beast.

Bugaboo is a fun new creature I kinda made up (spare for it’s name, which I took from an ordinary nothing-special bogeyman creature), in my project the Bugaboo is a Tsukumogami, a living object which was given life by the spirit of another creature, in the case of the bugaboo this of course was the spirit of a dead bogey-creature which died in the closet it was haunting. Bugaboo are animated closet-monsters which can summon other bogey-creatures from inside of them, they open up a portal inside their closet-bodies and summon weak bogeys on the battlefield. This horrid tsukumogami can also swallow you and teleport you to a hidden world of shadow and fear from which few victims come back.

After some writer's block on handling the ending of ep3...I've finally figured it out. I deleted my original ep3 ending because I wasn't happy with it. The new scenes are coded in now, there's a total of EIGHT scenes! Have a lot of drawings to do now, not really sure which scenes I want to add mini-CGs for. But most likely 4 mini-CG and 1 main CG.

Anyways, enjoy these out of context screenshots for now. Still a work in progress, but I'm excited to get ep3 done.

Still upset about never getting a vinca route. I feel like she would have been the only villain that's just a villain. She's not an anti hero like Yvette, she's mean just because she is. I wonder how that dynamic with MC would've been. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Do you think MC would've ended up as the next pride assassin like she did in onyx's route? Do you think vinca would've died at some point? Maybe the MC would have a completely different personality to match vinca's. How do you think they would have went about vinca losing her heart when she read minds? Maybe MC would've gotten possessed by dorran? How would they have met? Literally everything is running through my mind right now💀

I'm almost done coding in ep3 and adding in more choices! My game isn't limited to 3 choices like Lovestruck, the reader can have more choices. Of course it's more writing for me, but I felt this scene needed all these options.

There's still quite a bit of editing to do for the writing, but I'm running through the game several times to fix the dialogue/narration while coding in the last bits.

Union Square Events take place here and there's an ice skating rink in the winter months. The ice skating rink scene from Duke's route is one of my favorites. And iirc, he also proposed here to the MC.

Dolores Park A lot of characters had scenes here! I still remember the scene that took place at night, where Andi took off her mask to kiss MC. (Ok, but the one that killed me the most was that scene with young Renzei from Razi's route.) From this park you can get a very good view of the San Francisco skyline.

Bay View Another popular spot for scenes in the series. The best view is at Pier 7 along the Embarcadero. You'll see the iconic lamp posts and benches. There was a heart felt scene that took place here from Renzei's route at nighttime.

Downtown I couldn't get the exact location like the one in-game, but there's a really nice similar spot at the intersection of Powell St and California St that a lot of photographers go to because it's up a big hill. If you stand in the middle of the crosswalk on Powell you can get a good view of the city. Instead of Optimus tower, you'll see the iconic triangle shape Transamerica tower.

Optimus The tower which Optimus is inspired by is actually the Salesforce Tower. You can walk around the plaza and transit center nearby, but obviously can't go up to the offices. But, I'm guessing the design of Optimus' interior might have been inspired by the Salesforce transit center.

WIP updates on my visual novel fanfic! Some out of context screenshots.

Almost done coding in all of ep3. I had to do some character sprite drawing updates, so you'll see something new for Ripley, never before seen in Lovestruck.

I'm also LMAO because I've been wanting to write the silly cupcake scene. The troupe likes Onyx's cupcakes, but MC might suffer.

I noticed the new "this blog hasn't posted in a long time" notifications. Which cannot be disabled, it's a permanent thing now? And it feels super awkward to me.

So, I'm posting this to let people know what this blog is mainly about. If it captures your interest, then great. If not, then feel free to unfollow.

What I'm working on right now:

Lovestruck visual novel fanfic, Night of Sin: Encore Stage, which takes place in an alternate universe Sin w/ Me world. This series will feature two characters, Ripley (Envy) and Quillan (Sorrow/Shadow).

Currently, Ripley's route has a prologue, ep1, and ep2. I'm working on coding in ep3. The story plot draft has been completed for all 4 planned seasons. There will be a total of 7 episodes with 5000-6000 words per episode. This makes each season around 40000 words, about the same as a typical Lovestruck 12 episode structure season.

Night of Sin: Encore Stage is the sequel to Night of Sin: Pride, which is a prequel fanfic to Sin w/ Me, also taking place in an alternate universe. The prequel has prologue, ep1-7, and an epilogue. It's fully completed and available to read free here: nightofsin.itch.io

I say alternate universe, because some characters' background stories have changed, but otherwise it's largely the same. I didn't want to do canon universe because I wanted more freedom.

(Yes I'm working on these projects solo.)

But yeah, this is a general update to what's going on with this blog. Since we all know Lovestruck shutdown a while ago.
