Be it a book, tv show, movie, comic, or anything else, have you ever encountered something and been like, "Wow, the misogyny is really jumping out here"? Whether it's sidelining female characters and downplaying their abilities, objectification, sexualization, transmisogyny, misogynoir, fridging, gratuitous sexual violence, women walking boobily down the stairs, or anything else, sometimes the contents of a work are just dripping with misogyny and you're like, "No, stop it! Bad creator, bad! Treat your ladies better!"

And now is your opportunity to see these works fight each other! It's time to go to bat for the ladies who deserved better and decide what is the #1 work we should point to and go, "That. Don't do that. Like anything in that."

Submit the work you want to beat with a bat labeled "Respect Women" here! The form closes December 13, 2023 at 12am EST.

NOTE: You can submit a work and add additional propaganda later when you have more time under the condition that you add "(repeat)" after the title of the work you're submitting.

You know that trope? That one trope *Everyone* hates? The trope in which a well meaning antagonist to our heroes, one looking out for the good of a certain community, suddenly does something horrible and drastic to make not only them, but the ideology they stand for the most villainous of all?

and no, I’m not talking “well meaning” as in… they had a sad life. Their parents died or something. Etc.

I’m talking:

“This person wants change in a corrupt system.”

“This organization made up of a marginalized group only wants their basic living rights.”

“This person wants equality for their people.”

Etc etc etc. Only for it to drastically become:

“This person wants change in a corrupt system… so they BLOW UP AN ORPHANAGE OF GRANDMOTHERS.”

“This organization made up of a marginalized group only wants basic living rights… so THEY’RE ACTUALLY EVIL UNSYMPATHETIC TERRORISTS.”

“This person wants equality for their people… EXCEPT HAHAAA THEY DONT” That stuff. Stuff that makes you really question what the writers were really trying to get across.

But enough of that, let’s talk tournaments. With as much as this trope makes these villains blow up houses of grandmas and likely makes you, the viewer, want to blow up something too, you can now throw them at me and I’ll let them blow up each other!

The Best Kirby Character Season 3 Submissions are Open!

Submit all your blorbos from the Kirby universe here! :D

You'll notice there are already 8 characters on the bracket, these characters are Taranza, Daroach, Bandana Dee, King Dedede, Shadow Kirby, Dark Meta Knight, Marx, and Magolor! There's no need to submit these characters since they're automatically in ^-^

Those of you who haven't been around for Season 1 or Season 2 may be confused about why Kirby and Meta Knight aren't here, and the answer is that Kirby won Season 1, and Meta Knight won Season 2, so they will be left out of Season 3 to give others a chance at winning!

Qualifications for submissions

The characters you submit must:

Be a Kirby character, no OCs allowed!

Show signs of sentience! (ex: While Whispy Woods is a tree, he has definitely shown signs of sentience and emotions! Therefore, you can submit Whispy Woods here!)

Not have already been denied entry from Season 1 and Season 2 (you can check if a character has been denied by looking in the #poll character: denied! tag!)

Be submitted using the google form found below! If you try to submit a character using the askbox, it will be ignored and deleted!

Rules for Submissions

Do not submit Kirby or Meta Knight, since Kirby won Season 1 and Meta Knight won Season 2!

Do not submit the characters already in the bracket (Taranza, Daroach, Bandana Dee, King Dedede, Shadow Kirby, Dark Meta Knight, Marx, and Magolor!)

You can submit multiple characters, but please don't submit the same character multiple times!

Characters from the anime, novels, and manga are allowed! However, manga, novel, and anime versions of already existing characters (specifically characters that we already have a large understanding of from the games, like Kirby, Marx, Magolor, Meta Knight, etc.) will not be allowed! Manga characters that play small roles in the games will be allowed!

Only a total of 64 characters will be allowed in the bracket, and 8 slots have already been filled, so only 56 characters will be making it onto the bracket!

Certain characters can be submitted together! (For example (but not limited to): Adeleine and Ribbon, Tiff and Tuff/Fumu and Bun, Lololo and Lalala, and the Mage Sisters!)

Kirby villains/monsters are allowed!

Even if a character has enough votes to qualify, they may be turned down from the tournament! The mod will make a public announcement for the character, and explain why.

“He’s the top martial artist in the entire mafia (without using his ability), and on to of that he’s the most powerful ability user (that we know of) in Bungou Stray Dogs. If this is a normal fist fight, he could probably win without using his ability unless his opponent has some form of magic/supernatural assistance. And if they do, he could kill the pretty much instantly using his ability.  Also. I’d really like to see him win for once, because in BSD the author has to keep coming up with highly specific scenarios to justify why he’s not just wiping everyone out. Some of those scenarios include: 1) he’s just not there in the first place (he was canonically out of the country for the entire beginning of the series) 2)he gets trapped in the BSD-equivalent of an alternate dimension* (ie someplace you can’t just break out of with brute force) 3)the only guy he regularly fights has the ability to be immune to all abilities AND is the top strategist in BSD (and even so Chuuya still beats him in terms of combative skills) 4)fights that he’s about to win get interrupted by other things, causing both him and his opponent(s) to go “well I guess we could just stop fighting and call it a stalemate 🤷‍♂️  5) (spoilers for the current manga arc) he’s currently being mind controlled as a vampire (BSD vampires and the equivalent of other media’s zombies. They’re mindless or mind-controlled beings who go around biting people). He would have solved all the problems by now but the author was like “nope!” and yoinked away his free will and autonomy.  *for any BSD fans who wanna check me on calling Poe’s ability an alternate dimension, I mean in the same way other subspace-type abilities are “alternate dimensions” as Rimbaud described (counting Rimbaud, Poe, and Lucy for this type of ability), rather than referring to “alternate universes” as in Beast.”

He can still see just fine because he's granted Vision by the Smiling God. Despite the mention of his "smile knife" in the Mudstone Abyss arc, I think Kevin doesn't entirely NEED weapons because I fully believe he will bite anyone and not hold back. He'll rip a chunk off you if he has to, he'll go fucking apeshit. His whole motif is teeth and gore and devouring. And he'll be so upbeat and sunny the whole time. Now if he could GET a weapon, he would prefer that, but if he absolutely has to fight somebody unarmed, he could manage against the average person off the street. However, caught off-guard, he is easily defeated. There's a part in canon where he believes he's having a diplomatic discussion (it was actually pretty fucked up and evil but Kevin's sense of normalcy is hella skewed), and a (presumably human) character just suddenly grabs him and slams him through a portal. So it can be assumed that if someone lands an unexpected attack on Kevin, he'll get his ass kicked easy. Kevin is also probably not formally combat trained. Someone with actual fighting skills would probably beat him. He's just reliant on bizarre violence more than actual skill, in my opinion.”
