I'll honestly be surprised if Carol doesn't show up on X-Men '97 at some point. If not this season, then definitely the next.
I mean, an entire episode of the original series was spent on showing her past with Rogue, and the final scene there made it pretty clear she was going to wake up from her coma. That, plus the fact that the character has kinda skyrocketed in popularity since her Ms. Marvel days makes it a given that we're going to see her at some point.
Oh, I'm sure her and Rogue are either going to fight or have some kinda resentment when it happens, but that's to be expected.

Possible resolution for this: Waller never came back from Earth 3, and 'evil Waller' is actually her Earth 3 counterpart. Since the main universe version is morally grey, of course this one is too--which is why she's convinced she's working for the 'greater good'.
Either that, or the pre-Flashpoint version of her shows up, gives her a 'the reason you suck' speech, and finally replaces her.

Prediction
I'm thinking Ollie's 'long game' is going to have the end result of him being the new head of Task Force X when this is over.

I never read the original Suicide Squad book, but I feel really bad for fans of it right now.
Modern writers took a morally grey character and turned her into a full-fledged villain. Just like what happened to Maxwell Lord, but for some reason this feels worse.
I remember how angry I was during Civil War, when they essentially did the same to Iron Man--but even then they made it clear he hated what he was doing but thought it was 'necessary'.
There's no guilt here. No regrets. No going back short of mindwipes or younger clones.

What I want to happen: Some supervillain taking advantage of the fact that Waller just took every superhero out of the equation, and completely dismantling her organization is a matter of seconds because her 'realistic' solutions mean squat to world-ending threats that don't play by her rules. Also, she ends up locked up in her own prison when the general public realizes she's become a power-hungry psychopath.
What will probably happen: Waller becomes a threat to the world when the general public turns on her when her 'solutions' cause major casualties. She's discredited, but manages to escape justice because she's 'always has a plan', with no one having to face the consequences for letting her get away with what she did.
Basically, I'm dreading this will end up being an exact repeat of what Marvel did with Civil War. Only in this case it's much worse, because Waller has been getting away with human rights violations for YEARS, only now turning against the good guys because--what, she's jealous of them?
There's no way she should be allowed to regain her old status quo after this. She's a villain now, and the DCU should treat her as such going forwards.

Marvel: The Krakoa era is over and the X-Men are going back to basics.
Me: YAY!!!
Marvel: Oh, btw, Jean is going to be leaving earth for the foreseeable future, and the new Uncanny writer hates Cyclops.
Me: BOOOO!
Seriously, I cannot win.

I honestly don't care HOW many X-Men characters you include in the movie.
I wouldn't see a Deadpool film if you paid me.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'm kinda disappointed they used characters like Glob and Pixie in the preview for tomorrow's episode.
The writers have made a point of keeping things how they would have been in the late 90's. But these two didn't make their first appearance until 2001 and 2004 respectively. I would have preferred they use characters like Marrow, Maggot, or Cecilia Reyes to make it more accurate to the timeframe.

Plot twist...
AU where Chris is more sympathetic towards Scott after the events of season 1. He ends up feeling personally responsible for destroying this kid's life(Kate's actions creating Alpha-Peter, placing Laura's body in the woods that lured him and Stiles there, etc...).
So, instead, Chris takes it upon himself to protect Scott rather than continuing to threaten him. Desperately trying to hide Scott's werewolf status from his revenge-crazed father, interfering with Derek's violent attempts to 'recruit' Scott for his pack, etc...
However, despite being on friendlier terms with Scott, he's still an overprotective papa bear to Allison--so his 'protection' is very much hovering. Especially when they're trying to get some alone time.

Does Clone Hank still remember what Teen Hank did when he was trapped in the present, or are those memories still locked for him?

I find it kind of funny that Beast's slide into villainy started when he was convinced that Scott had gone evil and broke the timestream in order to 'stop' him.

I'm sorry, but making the Silver Surfer female is not 'revolutionary' when this is the SIXTH male character they've changed into female in the MCU thus far.
Unless the 'revolutionary' part if the fact that they're using an actual existing female character this time, instead of just turning Norrin into a girl like they did the others.
I mean, I didn't have a huge problem with the other times, as they were mostly supporting characters and you didn't really have to change their backstories that much. Except maybe in Mar-Vell's case, but the fact that he/she dies during the flashbacks kinda negate it somewhat.
But the Surfer is a major character, and I assume Shalla-Bal isn't going to be killed off in her first appearance, so--yeah. It kinda cements the idea that the MCU is an AU for the 616 universe, rather than just an adaptation with minor changes.
Also - I kinda have to wonder that happened to Norrin in this universe. Was he killed during Galactus' invasion? Or is he playing a similar role to Shalla Bal's in 616, becoming ruler of Zenn-La and lamenting the fact that they can't be together anymore.
Also # 2- if they really wanted a female Surfer--couldn't they have just used Frankie Ray?

If X-Men '97 is a preview of how the MCU is going to treat Scott Summers, I cannot wait for them to start the ball rolling.

I honestly forgot how much of a rebel Wolverine used to be.
Every since the movies cranked his 'main character syndrome' up to 11, Logan's kinda lost the edge in an effort to make him for relatable.
Yeah, X-Men '97 Wolverine is still a pain, but he's a pain in a 'can you not' sense, rather than a 'ugh, him again' sense.

Someone's going to say it[SPOILERS]
With them still pushing the dreaded triangle hard, at some point, someone is going to point out to Logan that there are now TWO Jean Grey's.
And that person will most likely be glared at, growled at, and possibly punched.
It's going to be Remy, isn't it?

I'm torn[X-Men '97 SPOILERS]
On the one hand, I'm hoping the Jean we've seen for the first two episodes is the real Jean, and the newcomer ends up being Madelyne. Mainly because it would be way too cruel to do this to Scott/Jean AGAIN after the fake wedding in season 2.
On the other hand, it would be far more accurate to the comics for Madelyne to be Nathan's mother, not to mention her urging Scott to leave the team(again, like she did in the comics).
The main things that still have me leaning towards option 1 is her words: 'I need the X-Men' seem more like they're coming from someone not familiar with them. Also, I feel the comic version had a lot more leeway, as Jean was presumed dead at the time. This Scott would have been under the impression that Maddy WAS Jean the entire time.

Hmm[X-Men '97 SPOILER]
So that Bugle Headline:
fact - X-Men Animated takes place in the same universe as the 90's animated series
fact - Eddie already lost his job and became Venom by the end of the first season, while Spidey didn't meet the X-Men until the second season--which obviously took place before the end of the show, since Charles was still at the school.
fact - Eddie spent the remainder of the series in prison, and ended up lost in a dimensional portal within the same storyarc that he escaped.
fact - the Spider-Man animated series ended four months after the X-Men animated series.
Meaning that, within just a few months, Eddie Brock somehow escaped whatever dimension he was lost in, got his job back, and is on friendly enough terms Peter Parker that they're able to work on the same story together.
I NEED DETAILS!
So let's assume that Venom just ended up in the same dimension MJ did and--in a big contrast to the comics--somehow she became BFFs with Eddie and his 'other' to the point she coaches him on how to get his act together.
