hey I was rereading rhodonite (love it) and I was curious as to the beginning of chapter 2 with the flashback of Rhian telling Kei "You can't die. I just found you. You're mine. " and he seems to be pulling Kei out of a fire?
hi ^^ (thank you!) yeah of course! this is a big part of their relationship in the fic. i don't go much into how they met but i do allude to what the arbed boys got up to, mainly committing acts of arson. kei, likely novice to such purposeful acts of destruction upon his arrival to the school got himself in a bad situation and rhian saved him. rhian latched onto him first, and kei started to see him as a kingly figure after he saved him. the fires bonded them together, but also served to separate them in later parts of the fic :)
