also im just fucking cracking up at oliver going "at the beginning of the season I was going to play buck as having a sexual awakening whether the writers were doing it or not" and that translating to buck looking at eddie with the most down horrendous blushy heart eyes possible in every scene cause WHAT would he have done if tim didn't decide to make it canon. at some point he would've been in a scene with eddie and marisol and you would just see buck in the background gagging. he would give that boy Hanahaki disease in the name of character development.

Eddie coming to terms with his sexuality and then coming out to Buck in the most fucked up and romantic way possible - by telling him "I reached for you. I was lying in the street thinking this was it, that I was dying and all I wanted was to touch you one more time".

First things first.

Watching the 9-1-1 fandom give Oliver Stark his accolades and flowers has been a wonderful thing to see. Equally wonderful to watch is Oliver graciously receiving that love and redirecting it by validating the thoughts/feelings/emotions of longtime fans of the show. "You were right" is a very powerful statement, and I hope he genuinely realizes the impact that has had on the fandom, especially those who had certain opinions of his character and how they felt he should be portrayed. I'm glad the show took this hiatus and just let Oliver, Lou, and the rest of the cast and crew marinate in this. The show has gained so many new fans and returning fans in the wake of Bi-Buck. THAT BEING SAID... These "revelations" that have been coming out after THE Revelation are just...I can't even

What do you mean Ryan and Oliver have been secretly pitching Buddie canon to the powers that be behind the scenes for years? What do you mean Tommy was initially supposed to kiss Eddie? What do you mean Eddie getting shot years ago was supposed to be the beginning of a romantic Buddie arc? What do you mean Buck's coma dream after getting electrocuted was a the setup for a Buddie moment? What do you mean 7x04 was from Buck's POV? WHAT DO YOU MEAN RYAN AND OLIVER WATCH THE BUDDIE FAN EDITS AND READ THE FANFICTION?!?!??!?!?!!? Watching these two fuzzballs is genuinely going to flatline me.

SN: I'm stuck on the fact that before the S7 premiere, Ryan had the audacity to say "Buck and Eddie get closer than ever this season" with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face. And I'm happy/scared/excited/curious to see what the back half of the season holds. On to 9-1-1's The Hangover!!!

the best thing about buddie is that they don’t know. still. neither of them knows why they are the way they are. neither of them have ever really had strong male friendships before. certainly not in adulthood. so they don’t know that theirs isn’t quote unquote normal. eddie doesn’t know why “she sees me” felt like a punch or why “i kind of can’t stop thinking about him” felt like being dunked in cold water. buck doesn’t know that you can be jealous of two contradicting things at once or why “this doesn’t change a thing between us” didn’t offer as much relief as he’d been expecting it to. because of course he knew what eddie was going to say. he knows eddie. they’re both idiots. they’re both so blind to what they’ve been building. but they are so so close to figuring it out.

Eddie got outed by FAMILY FEUD, was originally supposed to have the Tommy storyline, is having catholic guilt storyline instead, was hell bent on staying with Buck to avoid Mopbucket, moved her in AND out in the same day, and y’all are STILL saying Buddie won’t go canon…chile anyway

The moment that will haunt me forever is Eddie standing in the back of Buck's hospital room, exhausted and overwhelmed to the point that he physically cannot answer Christopher's questions. That moment when Christopher asks about the tubes and he just shakes his head in frustration because he just can't. He can barely stand to look at Buck, he certainly can't bring himself to explain all of the machines that are Buck's only lifeline because he can hardly bring himself to face that reality at all.

This poor man is so drained—from staying close at the hospital, from arguing with a stubborn kid who's not supposed to be there, but who deserves to be, from trying to take care of the rest of the team, from trying to pretend he's not falling apart.

This man. This beautiful, loving man—who would do anything at all for his son, who is exceptional at communicating when it comes to Christopher—he couldn't bring himself to do more than shake his head in frustration when his son asked this question.

The amount of pain and fear that implies in Eddie is utterly heartbreaking.

I’m sorry, but if you think Eddie Diaz’s—a single dad, a Catholic, Hispanic war vet from Texas, who has an already complicated relationship with unsupportive parents—coming out story only matters in the context of Buddie, you don’t really care about Eddie.

That story has potential to be incredibly complex and moving on its OWN. And it deserves to be told on its OWN, agnostic of a ship.

literally cannot stop thinking about eddie getting all the way to the door and feeling something wrong and unsettled inside of himself as he reaches for the handle, thinking there's nothing he could ever do that would make me love him any less and i know that but does he and realising he hasn't quite done enough yet in this huge fucking moment, not necessarily for buck but for himself, because that's his best friend and he's just been deeply vulnerable and possibly changed things between them forever even if he's trying really hard not to think about that right then, so he stops. and he turns around. and he's orpheus. he loves eurydice so much he can't not turn around. buck walked out of hell, laid himself bare in front of eddie. and eddie said nothing will ever change between us and all he had to do was walk away but he couldn't. he couldn't. he just had to turn around to make sure buck would believe him through and through no matter what.
