You know what would make for a great story? Sokka demanding that Zuko find his space sword (I have personal bias in favour that dark blade mmrrrr, sexy, yeah I'm thirsting over a blade)
Because... Zuko's really good at finding things. He found Aang. The Gaang had been looking for Appa for days—but Zuko found him the day he started looking. He found his mum. He's meant to find things.
And Sokka just bam slam bursts in one day and says “hurry up! We're gonna find my sword. You owe me that much!”
And they go on a nice (or not so nice) little adventure.

Pie was yummy. Getting a second slice.
I am baking another god damn pie!! Doing my best to tweak my pie crust recipe. Someone remind me at an indeterminate point in the near future to write down my cozy cake recipe. That one is pretty well tuned at this point. That and highly adaptable, as I can turn it into any flavor cake with ease.
We had a load of oranges, so I turned my cozy cake into an orange juice cake. I went overboard on getting as much of the orange into the cake, from the cake to the frosting, and even to the glaze and the candied orange peel garnish, and orange marmalade between the layers.
I just wanted to see how much of the orange I could use and how many different ways I could put orange in the cake. Took three full days to make. I replaced the liquid with orange juice, took the meat of the orange and made a marmalade to go between cake layers, then I had to blanche and candy the orange peels.
I however didn’t like how the orange oil I made tasted, so I didn’t use that in the cake.
Then I mixed the orange syrup I made into the frosting for the cake. (DONT DO CREAM CHEESE FOR THIS CAKE) (It was nice yes, but a butter cream or icing would work orange flavored. But with the cream cheese it was just a touch odd in a way that I found unharmonious in flavor profiles.)
But yeah, I am gonna make a tray of mango jam hand pies, and then figure out what to do with the apples… spiced apple cider donuts maybe? I mean I end up making apple cider as a byproduct of making apple butter… So I would have apple butter as well…
I have some thinking to do while I bake my pies…

Shit I put the pie in the pie pan instead of doing the hand pies. Ah well, pie is pie. I’ll just make chocolate silk hand pies instead sometimes in the nearish future.

My doggo loves the blanket I made him, and he has been carrying it from room to room the past week. He don’t like others touching and or looking at his blanket, so I won’t take pictures of it.
He does however demand for me to drape it across his back like a saddle blanket or for me to tuck him in.
Benny just loves the blanket so much, and my heart swells with pride and joy every time I see him with the blanket.

On my recent cabbage merchant art someone commented on this man’s sheer resilience and how he was the Sisyphus of ATLA and that inspired me.

The dough for the pie crust is chilling for 45 minutes and the oven is preheating. Now for me to do my thinking about the rest of the stuff I can bake.

I’m honestly too afraid of the live action being another M.Night to watch it. I’ll wait until I can handle facing that fear, before I watch it and form my own opinions. If I end up not enjoying this adaptation, I am just not going to watch more than it takes to realize that. If I enjoy it, then I’ll watch it watch it.
For now I’m just going to redo the world of Sulani from the Sims 4 into Ember Island. It sounds fun.

Know this ain’t avatar, but hey the movie made me ugly sob both times I watched it, and free is free.
Also, Nimona. They alone are a great reason to watch the movie.

More reasons why Zuko being the Firelord is objectively the funniest thing on earth:
HES SEVENTEEN
He hasn’t been civilised in 4 years, his entire teenage experience consists of living on a boat and sleeping rough. The most stable bed he has was probably in Ba Sing Se he probably will just nap anywhere.
He has customer service experience which means he probably uses his customer service voice on his minsters.
Additionally he probably just wanders into to kitchen to get his own snacks and tea because he forgets what servants do.
He probably has no idea why he can’t just chase after an assassin he used to hunt the avatar for Agnis sake why is the captain of the guard demanding he stay in his room he’ll find the guy first (he’s probably right)
Katara probably has a free pass on Eco terrorism because what’s he going to do challenge her, she’ll beat his ass.
If he saw a minster doing something shady he will either invite lady Beifong to detect their BS or commit B&E and look for evidence himself.
He somehow found a baby dragon and raises it.
He will be far to willing to give Kyoshi island anything they want cause he feels bad and Suki scares him.
He randomly insisted on giving some earth kingdom village 100 ostrich horses.
The Avatar will just show up call him Hotman and demand the go on adventures and the Firelord will just dip because he’s been confined to long and has the Zoomies.
He takes far to much advice from Sokka and will genuinely believe if someone doesn’t get Sokkas plans they must be an idiot because Sokka is 16.
Sokka and Zuko also get into a lot of teenage rebellion phases by accident.
Toph just walks in breaks a wall of his palace and demands a field trip that always involves the Firelord having to explain himself to the cops.
He somehow knows every dangerous teen in the world and they all come for tea uninvited.
He has broken into both the NWT and Ba Sing Se.
He has a really well documented facial scar and official portraits but still disappears to be Lee the tea guy like no one knows.
HES SEVENTEEN.

Big news, my family have become home owners and my new dog has a very large yard to prance his silly ass through the snow and because he loves Christmas music my holiday hating ass is now contractually obligated to love this holiday.
The new dog is camera shy, so for the moment only the blog squad gets to see pictures.
But to help me adapt to being a Christmas Loving Dog Dad send me yahls favorite canine inclusive holiday traditions for me to try out.

i think zuko and lu tens dynamic was like. if lu ten told zuko the sky was green and grass was blue zuko would believe it due to how he admired his big cousin. and lu ten knew that and found it funny and cute. but he never told zuko anything like that
