Ok maybe it's like modern American/English speaking/North American public schools or something, how they teach history especially WW2 and all, but like. When I was in high school I learned that a certain word was a slur against Japanese/ Japanese Americans. And now like seeing it in anime communities by younger ppl who may just not know for some reason is like. So so wild. Like I saw some YouTube comments and l tweets and such like "I really like character j*p voice actor!" "Do you prefer eng dub or j*p dub?" Etc.

Bruh. Wut. Do they not teach this is schools anymore or something. Lol.

Ok, so I read another comment on the tf2 subreddit also discussing Sketchek that in a membership zatsu stream, Sonny kinda vaguely spoke about his past. He said that he really loved this certain game, so much so, fhst he developed a video game addiction. He was unable to finish school and his family was ashamed and annoyed with him. He got kicked out of his home at a young age and lived in Japanese net cafes applying for jobs or sleeping on friends' couches.

While I don't exactly agree with his "terminal illness" bs, I think he could've used another excuse to leave the internet as Sketchek, I think that I can kinda understand that to truly break his video game addiction to TF2, he really had to make it permanent to us and to himself.

Honestly, I just feel bad for Sonny/Sketchek. He seems to have finally turned his life around, has a house/apartment or whatever, returned to his family in Australia, has friends and a job....until this utter shit show. I really hope he can leave and be indie or something. It's like when those people formerly in cults or abusive relationships finally escape....only to once again fall into a cult/abusive relationship.

I think it's a bit easier for me to forgive Sonny now, as I did not experience the emotion turmoil he caused by faking his death, since I am not in the TF2 community and didn't know him as Sketchek at the time.

Still, it's been annoying the past few weeks for people to bring up his Sketchek identity drama as a big "GOTCHA!" moment and deem him as bad as the other "clique snakes" or creepy BFE vtubers like Hex and Vox. His past life is not at all connected to the Hanamori clique. Sonny seems to be just a recovering addict/former homeless guy truly trying to be better and move on from his past, unlike Vox who was, as Calypso, and still is, as Vox, a creepy dude grooming and taking advantage of his young female fan base. I really hope Sonny is able to graduate and move on with his life as a better person. Sonny/Sketchek ultimately hurt no one but himself for 5 years with his video game addiction and homelessness in the past, unlike other predatory streamers/vtubers with shady pasts.

So, it used to be ally, but that is an outdated definition. And again, while cis-het people are appreciated for being allies, they do not and will likely never face the same discrimination and prejudice that people with LGBT+ identities do. ok i thought i was going crazy but no it turns out the entire internet has also experienced the nvec encoding error thing with obs and nvidia graphic drivers recently lol. the feb 13th driver update was baaaaaaad.

the solution is to just. install an older version lol. oops.

nvidia apparently made a patch for it recently on feb 22, so i downloaded it and installed but the error still came up? maybe i installed incorrectly? eh, whatever, i've downloaded an older version from back in december just to be safe and am installing it now.

i signed up for neocities but haven't done anything yet lol

I got bored and made myself a png tuber thing yesterday night in thr span of like 2 hours bc I am very very rusty at drawing and stuff so it was like 2:30 am when I was going to try and stream me working on my countless unfinished utau English covers or something so I could like. Public shame motivate myself to finish these things. And obs was having streaming issues with my Nvidia graphics card for some godforsaken reason. Had to update it but didn't restart bc at that point it was 3:30 am and I have to sleep to get up for work by 6 am. Bruh.

So I ended up not streaming yesterday lol.

I'm also tempted to make a neocities site for fun and also to inventory all the physical books and movies I own. Literally just yesterday I accidentally got two copies of manga I already own, my memory is shot lol. I'm too embarrassed to return them to the store, I'm tempted to just donate them to the library as like an apology for checking out movies and stuff and not watching them for like. 2 months lol. Overdue. But also unpopular/uncommon random anime movies and a Serbian and Indian/Hindi movie, so I dont think that they are in a big waitlist per say so it's probably not really hurting anyone but still. I'm embarrassed. I have no time and energy, why did I check out 8 movies all at once ugh. My greed got the better of me lol.

idk how but....i got a cc. finally. im like. almost an adult....wow.....

(i have a shit third hand car from my uncle and younger sister, a full time job with health benefits, cc, student debt, am 26.....but i still live with my mom....and i'm not really allowed to leave the house after dark bc my mom is paranoid that i'll get mugged or something. i guess. so no drag queen bingo in the local gay bars or going to movie theaters. sadge....)

i have a pile of junk mail of like "you're pre-approved for a cc" letters. but when i tried to apply once a few years ago, i got rejected for some reason lol. but on a whim last week, i tried out a code that i think still worked. from 2021!!!!!! and i got approved. and my cc arrived in the mail yesterday...i'll try my best to not add credit card debt to my student debt lol.

idk even why my credit score was so high tho tbh. maybe it's a starting score or they referenced my mom's? my younger sister had to put money in an extra bank account for like a whole year to build credit and get a card. maybe they accounted for the few student loan payments i did during covid lockdown in 2019-2021, even though the interest was frozen. im so confused lol.

I put this on my job's bamboo hr but i am like 99% sure that no one looks at it. Even when I was getting hired months ago during my on boarding paperwork I had to turn in, the hr person put ms. Instead of mx. Or just my full name. Thankfully it was a word document sent to me directly so I just edited it to have mx anyways. Still so annoying. No one reads these I swear lol. What's the point of these little customization options.

Also it was my grandma's birthday party on Monday night. I had to see my cousins. My one cousin who's wife is currently pregnant made some snide comment about he won't be having any nonsense about gay or trans with his child. Bruh, if your kid ends up being gay or trans or whatever and they hear these kinds of things at home, your child will resent you and run away or move out from home as soon as they can.
