austin powers is the movie trilogy of all time. sexpest spy from sexual revolution-era britain is frozen and comes back in the 90s to stop a bald guy named "dr. evil" who appears on the jerry springer show with his son in the sequel. despite sexpest spy being a sexpest, he still has high enough standards to not shag a drunk woman. the plot of the second movie involves dr. evil time travelling to extract libido from sexpest's dick. also mike myers plays like four characters throughout the trilogy, and they all talk to each other. yeah baby.

ok it's actually annoying me now. people are complaining about how margot robbie didn't get her FOURTH acting nomination??? seriously??? she did NOT need that, especially compared to people like sandra hüller and lily gladstone (the first EVER native american woman to receive a best actress nomination!!!!!). and same with greta honestly??? she literally still got nominated for the screenplay??? nothing about her directing in barbie was special enough to warrant a nomination, both in comparison to her two previous films, and ESPECIALLY compared to the directors who actually got nominated (triet, lanthimos, nolan, etc). obviously people can have whatever opinion they want, but maybe people should, idk, actually WATCH the nominated performances and films instead of getting pointlessly up-in-arms over two snubs that REALLY don’t matter??? this isn’t a some kind of crime against humanity or an injustice against feminism like so many people are making it out to be. please calm down about this fun yet extremely commercial crowd-pleasing blockbuster. it received EIGHT nominations INCLUDING best picture. i think it’ll be fine.
