"I don't want to."
She treated everyone like
they were below her.even the people
she treated with charity. A touch she
didn't initiate was enough to cause a
minor panic. Elsa was quick to pull
her hand away.
"Go look by yourself."
“C’mon,”
The words escape his lips
just as he’s pulling her along by
her hand.
”I never got t’see.”

There is a softening that lasts
a split second. A thaw visible only in
her eyes before she presses her
lips together stubbornly.
"I just came from inside. So
obviously I have. Why are you
so curious? What do you want?
At this point I'd be willing to pay
you to leave me alone."
He wets his lips before
speaking again, eyes fluttering shut
for a short moment as he gathers his
thoughts, fingers drawing against his
lips as he allows a smile to creep up
on his visage.
“Ever been inside? Ever gone t’see
what this uh, stranger’s done for th’kids?”

The most irritating part is the fact
that he's right. She crosses her arms,
fingers loosely wrapped around them.
She lies for the sake of lying.
For the sake of not admitting
he's right in the first place.
"Well, you'd lose that bet."
That’s a look he knows well enough
even worn on a woman like her
that has an extraordinary poker-face,
it’s clear as day that she’s hiding just
who exactly she is underneath
the facade.
“Bet y’make generous donations, in large sums
just abou’ every year.”

She feels formalities are wasted on him
but spares him a few regardless. Allowing
sarcasm to generously coat her words.
"Good evening, Mr. Stark.
Always a pleasure."

She keeps composure despite the fact that she can
practically feel how tense this stranger is. Mistakes
being wary for fear. Perhaps her reputation precedes
her.
"I'm afraid I'm not certain what a Jotunn is..
you may be mistaken."
She thinks herself in Jotunheim and as such, calloused
digits dig into the hilt of the blade she keeps by her side,
cautious and if one is careful to see weary, even.
” You have a very small form for a Jotunn…”

"I have. I just don't care to question it. Aside from the fact that it makes little sense that a god could also somehow become a vampire. But I imagine that's something you don't care to share."
"Does the cold bother you?"
"…You’ve not heard of me?" Well that’s a surprise.
"Sunlight is a danger to most. Some can venture out into it, some cannot, and some — myself included — can walk in its light if wearing some means of protection. It is still irritating to the skin if exposed for too long but safe. Yes garlic does not affect us, it is an idiotic claim.”

With a heavy sigh, she brushes strands
of alabaster hair from her face. Of course
he's going to prod at her personal life
when it isn't any of his business in the
first place.
"Don't make assumptions about me.
One kind act does not a good person
make."
There’s a low chuckle that’s
threatening to escape his lips at any
moment as he dips his head to the side;
of course, since she’s been able to
she’d been doing the right thing.
“Why th’act? Got a heart
big as th’day is long ‘n don’t say y’don’t
'cause you're changin' those kid's lives.”
