people reading Toshiro as being repulsed by Laois and drawn to Falin and saying it's dumb af because they're both autistic but he's doing the autistic men - annoying autistic women - manic pixie dream girl are ignoring several things but the biggest thing for me is

Laois and Falin are both autism coded but the way they behave, especially towards Toshiro, is radically different. Most obvious example that we see time and time again is Laois blatant disrespect of Toshiro's personal space. He is constantly right there, in his face, touching him, taking every minute of his time while Toshiro, having grown up in a very different sort of world with very different social cues that Laois would not be aware of, is fucking dying because, as he says, he knows Laois is being totally sincere in his actions and Toshiro would appear and feel like an asshole if he was blunt with Laois!

Falin, notably, doesn't do this! Toshiro is seen interacting with Falin several times (including having these hangouts interrupted by Laois), but she doesn't push into his space and demand physical intimacy the way that Laois does.

I desperately need dunmeshi fans to get their heads out of their asses about Shuro and remember that this man is from a completely different culture than the Toudens and everyone else and has different societal rules and cultural norms that basically handicap him in awkward situations like most of the interactions we see from his and Laois's past. I also need people to fucking recognize that Laois and Falin are very similar and very neurodivergent but their behavior towards Toshiro in particular is very different and Shuro is drawn towards the sibling who doesn't constantly make him uncomfortable in a way Shuro feels he can't call out.

And you're allowed to ship Falin and Marcille without fucking demonizing the man who fell in love with her weird and gentle nature!
