i was going ask “if people say the lord’s prayer to get rid of christian vampires, would you say kaddish if it’s a jewish vampire?” just as an offhand question
but then i was thinking like, that’s kind of cute actually… saying a mourning prayer for an undead creature… what if instead of being hurt and warded off by it they’re emotionally touched and change their mind about hassling you

There's a lot of different Jewish Maghrebi #looks. One of my faves is the late-19th/early-20th c Constantine dress.
The fashion before this is actually another fave, for another day.
Jewish women in Constantine (though Muslim women didn't differ much) would wear a plastron embroidered 'djubba' (robe) over a 'ghlila djabadouli' (long sleeved jacket) and blouse underneath. In the summer the djubba was worn over the cotton blouse and a sleeveless 'ghlila' or 'farmla' (short waistcoat).
When worn without the djubba the look was completed with a 'fouta', which was just a long rectangle tied around the waist for modesty. The fouta was/is an important tradition associated with women's fertility/health in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco (where its sometimes called a 'mendil').
